so in the near year that i've been here (teehee rhymes) i don't think i've ever posted a true description of future characters before i make them. so i'm taking a crack at it to see how it goes.

SLOANE EUPHORIA MCCARTHY

alright, this here is sloane, but she'd not prone to going by that name. everyone who knows her calls her effy, after her ridiculous middle name. she's an eighteen year resident of valkyrie academy, meaning she's lived in valkyrie all of her life. her mother is a doctor and her father is a business man gone straight edge. at one point he was working in cahoots with the irish mob, because he's originally from ireland and showing his patriotism. he's now nervous with the irish mob coming to valkyrie and what that'll mean to the family who has no idea about his past. effy's a part time model because of school and her parents rules, but she really wants to be full time, as does the rest of the world. effy's got one of the biggest up and coming names in the fashion world. at her young age she's already landed some huge cosmetic companies, but they're all threatening to drop her if she doesn't get out of school to work full time. that's her latest dilemma, her first being the new bouncing, baby boy that her family has adopted. only this baby boy is no baby. he's damn near as old as she is. effy's not too big on her brand new brother, graham, but she's certainly not going to be the selfish one to bitch and complain about it. after all what her parents did was a nice thing. she knows that. she's content just to push him to the back of her mind, just like everything else, and focus on trying to get out of this town. she's not doing hot in school, one of the main reasons why she's not a full time model, and all she wants is to drop out, become home schooled or whatnot, and jump headfirst into modeling. but her parents are stubborn. as long as effy's doing badly in school she had no hopes of being a full time model. this of course makes her an angry, rebellious teenager. she's not the greatest of human beings. she's sweet when she wants to be, when she's working for something, or when she's around her employers, but she's not the cattiest most cutthroat model on the planet either. she's a bit misunderstood, if anything, and being held back from her dream isn't helping the situation at all.

ABOUT EFFY:

• is at risk of having her contracts terminated because of the time constraints with her schooling.
  
• can be bitchy, especially when she's not getting what she wants.
  
• lights up in front of a camera whether it be professionally or just candids on the beach.
  
• is super loyal to any friends she makes, but she's picky about them. they must support her above all else or they aren't worth her time.
  
• will do anything to become a full time model.
  
• is anxiously awaiting the day she turns eighteen so she can officially make her own decisions.
  
• doesn't do well at school because she's so preoccupied elsewhere.
  
• hides the fact that she has a learning disability and can't read very well.

GRAHAM BRYANT MCCARTHY

graham has not had the best life on the books, and when asked about it, he's really not too keen on talking about it. he was born to a crack addict mother somewhere in the midwest, no one really knows. his mother could barely afford to support herself and her drug habit, let alone a child. the stresses to her body during the pregnancy didn't make graham the healthiest of babies either. he was born with a few defects that had to be taken care of with surgery not long after he was born. during the first of these surgeries, graham's mother left and never came back. everyone pretty much assumes that she either left him there in an act of kindness or went out to get high and overdosed. either way, there was no one else to take care of graham after he was in recovery. at just a few days old, graham became a ward of the state. he was nursed back to health but once he was in stable condition he was carted off to the first foster home that would take him. he stayed in one home, the buckley home for boys in south detroit, until he was about three years old. when the home went under he was shipped off yet again. he'd been to orphanages and homes all over the united states. at fourteen he ran away from the latest in a slew of homes, this one run by a perverted old man who liked to watch the boys a little too closely. he was in sacramento at the time. graham lived in parks, and took safe haven in whatever homeless shelter he could find, and at around fifteen he was picked up in valkyrie for vagrancy. in juvie he came down with a massive cold that required hospitalization and there was where he met effy's mother, one of the local icu doctors in charge of his care. in the week or so that graham was in the hospital, he connected with effy's mother, telling her his many stories that would often bring her to tears. by the time graham was ready for release, effy's mother was already getting together adoption papers. he was told the news the day of his release, that he would never have to go to another home or shelter again, and was brought back to the mccarthy home to live.

ABOUT GRAHAM:

• has never had a life long friend. everyone he knows is either lost to him, in a home, or dead.
  
• knows how to hijack cars, kind of a vice for him. he just sees a nice car and can't help himself.
  
• can sleep just about anywhere because he's used to it.
  
• never wants to be in a powerless position again and will do anything to keep that from happening.

ok, i think she and tommy should have dated somewhere down the line. because they're int he same circle of wealthiness, and well, they're both beautiful xD ha, but since tommy is a little baby and selfish, once she started spending more time on shoots and being all model-y, he'd get pissed since they wouldn't be hanging out as much. plus, i want tommy to have some past relationships and effy is like perfect for a past relationship.

and then also, luca's a photographer. he should shoot her for some campaign or something. =)

i want to hug him, he sounds so adorable <3 and yay for hs boys! so reading through, i def. think he needs a friend. and my friendliness girls are bev and sophie. bevin would more understand him though. not that she ever was homeless, but her family isn't rich and she's grown up in the shaks and whatnot. and she finds making friends with the guys easier. sophie's all about making friends and if/when she found out about his backstory she'd feel really bad, not pity, but just feel bad for him. and i'm sure soph and graham have pictures somewhere around the web xD

hm, who else? tommy wouldn't like him. he'd find graham awkward and weird and social events. finn would like him though. stealing cars ftw! i think that's about it, but i can't wait until you make them!

aw i love the idea of effy and tommy! maybe they kind of remained good friends with a lot of sexual tension? because who wouldn't want to lick him like a lollipop?! maybe when she needs an escape she goes to him and just lounges around with him? or says "hey bitch let's go have fun," lol. hehe idk. my brain's mush.

luca will definitely be her new best friend, xD. she'll love the fact that he's a photographer and the more he wants to shoot her, not in the literal sense with this one, the better.


i don't think i've done anything with bevin yet so right on there! graham isn't a huge fan of dishing about his life cuz then he gets pity hugs and though he likes the hugs, he hates the pity. still i think bev can drag it out of him xD.

and yes, graham and sophie have oodles of pics together. though he'll be a little iffy about whether it's pity or not, he'll still probably like hanging around her, though he may get very awkward at times.

teehee. remember back in the day, a while after you had first joined v-side and were working on making maggie and j.r. and you said that if you ever wanted to make new characters someone should stop you and i said i'd hit you with an extend-o glove? xD hehe, i remember random crap. my friends yell at me for it all the time. anyway. this just brought that back, but whatever. i love the sound of these two! let's hop to it, shall we?

I FUCKING LOVE THE NAME EFFY YOU HAVE NO IDEA. and emily d is so damn cute. the thing that immediately comes to mind for her is being friends with artie. because i can really see them getting along and artie is in desperate need of some good girl friends. artie's ridiculously loyal, too, so there's no problem there. she'd think effy was pretty kick ass and be there for her whenever she wanted to vent about being frustrated. i dunno, they could be really good pals/besties? like, artie's girl bestie, haha. that's all i've got for her atm.

GRAHAM
aww, i wanna hug him, too. </3 i want to do something with him and leda, just because. she'd be kind of curious about him. i don't know how he'd react to her; if he'd find her weirdness endearing or just annoying, haha. if given the chance, though, i can see her getting protective over him. <3 and then i also think we should do someting with him and andie, too, just because she's had kind of an effed time of life, too. they'd probably have a weird kind of relationship no matter how you slice it, but they could be fun.

i love the name effy too. i've heard it here and there and i just love it. i love the name sloane too but effy won overall xD. she's going to need some friends and though i've never really plotted much with artie, i adore her. i could see them being really good friends, if not besties like you said before. dunno what we could do with them really but i'm up for suggestions. maybe she walks in on artie doing drugs of some sort and bitchslaps some sense into her? first of all because it's bad for you and second of all because it'll kill her career to be found anywhere near drugs? so it's like "lose the drugs or lose your bestie. pick one."

leda...would terrify him at first, lmao. graham isn't a social butterfly and the only interactions he's really had with people are through homes or orphanages where he's treated more like a thorn in the proverbial side as opposed to a human being. i think leda would take some getting used to but at one point he'd probably be accepting of her and like hanging out with her. :]

needless to say i think andie would scare him too, but as long as she wasn't all bitchy to him upon first meeting, he'd get used to her and think of her as a friend.

okay, artie and effy shall be besties. i declare it official... now! they can be picture whores together, like having a camera with them everywhere they go to take goofy pictures and stuff, hehe. and they should totally mess around at school, like causing trouble in the library and artie videotaping it. and hehe, your characters are just sticklers for making my characters getting their acts together, aren't they? xD i like that idea. artie could be kind of tripped out and say something stupid, but she probably would try to quit if facing pressure from both dj and effy. ooh. what if after she's tried to get off of it, there's still some pot or something around her house that she forgot about and effy finds it? could make for drama.

hehe. <3 leda and him will be very cute, don't care what you say. i can see them hanging out sometime when leda gets really excited or happy about something so she jumps around and hugs him and kisses him on the cheek and he's just kind of left with like 'what just happened?' xD haha. and if him and andie spent time together and she decided she liked him she'd probably kind of start thinking of him as the little brother she never had. because that would be cute. :] oh oh, random thought. we could plot him and mercades, too. if he's taking spanish, she could be tutoring him in it? because obviously she's a native speaker and she wants to be a teacher so it's good practice.

first of all, i'm gonna have to agree with everyone else - effy is one winful name. sloane in a close second. but anyway. xD i love the sound of her! and i'm definitely going to have to plot with her. woo for models. we have to love them. oh, and emily d. is so friggin adorable<3 great choice.
so, who do you think came first to mind? kiran. models do have to stick together. i dunno what kiran would think of her, to be honest. hot and cold some days, haha. jealous, too, since effy is the biggest new thing. and the whole cosmestics contract is a level kiran never managed to reach, even when she was at the height of her supermodel-ness. has effy only really done the more local thing? la and all? or has she travelled for shows and stuff? either way, i think they should have known each other from before. :] kiran did the whole america-europe show circuit for a couple of seasons before staying in valkyrie. and a lot of her campaigns and stuff were shot around california. not so much now, because she's kind of backtracking into HF-hood, but it's all the same. they should know each other. xD on some days, she would definitely hate on effy for being so gorgeous and effortless and have these contracts she never managed to get. but then, if she gets over that, she'd absolutely love her. like, when she gets news she landed a campaign or something. xD they're both in the same position with school, too. kiran really wants to drop out as well, to go back to modeling full-time again. my brain turned off when i woke up, so of course i have no real ideas. but we gotta plot 'em up :]

other than that, maybe the cortese's? both work heavily in the fashion industry. indie would like her and her spunk. xD if whatever people she works for at the same are on scene for an editorial or something, she'd definitely be interested in effy. she likes people like her. ooh, and gray's a photographer too. luca can't get all the pretty models. xD so yeah, he should shoot her as well.

TAYLOR!<3 zong. it's about time we got him around here. he's such a popular face. xD and, i mean, he's legal now. that was such a happy day. anyway. i'm loving the sound of him. i love his whole adoption angle, really unique. lame how i don't really have any friendly characters to actually befriend him. although i do think plotting him with the connolly's would be kind of fun -shrug- i still need to post info on them, but they're my chillest characters. river's definitely got some things in common with him. no social skills at all, that one. and both of them haven't been able to hold onto friends or anything like that their entire lives. i have a big back story for them that involves feeling powerless and one of them just having to bite the bullet. powerless isn't their style. :] he'd actually be one of the few people that don't irritate november to hell, too. she likes people like him - interested in life, but damaged beyond belief. she never sees that anymore. of course, no ideas</3 but i love the sound of him. a lot of the other flingers wouldn't give him the time of day. except maybe...shay. she would like him, too. branching out from her friends for awhile and all that.

tommy & effy: oo yeah, that sounds great. he'd keep making comments like, 'are you going to ditch me?' or whatever. he'd still fidn her incredibly hot and if she came over to lounge, he'd make the suggestion that she should lounge in his bed. xD

luca & effy: yeahyeah! luca's really good about his photography, so if he sees something in effy, he'd definitely want to keep working with her. and he has connections so he'd try and help her out.

bevin & graham: haha, bevin is not one to bring the pity. she'd be more like 'yeah, that sucked. but you're here now so i'm going to teach you how to surf.' so he wouldn't have to be nervous around her, which i'm sure he maybe wouldn't because she's too relaxed to really care about his social issues.

sophie & graham: lol, yeah, it probably would come off as pity at first, and if he got mad at her, she'd apologize and feel stupid about herself, but i think eventually they should be friends.

omg artie would be like the greatest friend of all time in effy's mind because nothign is better than taking pictures no matter what occasion. i can see them running all over the place just taking random pictures like serena and blair when they stole the dresses and took pictures with horses and stuff. total win! effy will freak at the pot and go off an artie no doubt, but as soon as she hears she's trying to quit she'll be all "okay, i want to watch you flush this."

graham would probably get along with river and november, but it'll take more work on their end because he's got no clue how to talk to people. but once they're established i think they could be good pals.

Why hello there, Rubicious, I see you're planning on more characters. Good, good. I plan on plotting with them, you know. So let's get down to it.

EFFY;
Must say, she is so cute! Hmmm, who in my brood would plot? Well, Jesse would so have a crush on her, come on, look at her! I think she and Kate should vaguely know of each other, both being in the model world, but Kate is terribly nice, too nice for her own good. Eric could be one of her teachers, the douche bag who keeps her parents updated on how she's doing and what not. Audrey wouldn't like her, at all, it's okay, she doesn't like very many girls anyways. xD Isaac would flirt with her, Jasper wouldn't care about her and charlotte? Well, she doesn't really pay attention to the modeling world so she wouldn't know who she was, quite honestly. Uhmmm, Yeah, overall response from my brood on her, is well, non-responsive, except for Jesse, he'll like her though I'm sure she wouldn't care for his goofy techie-ness.

So, with all the pictures floating around, I really want to plot Audrey and Graham. because those pictures are love, I must say. I'm not afraid to pull out the bribes either! xD Horrible person right here.You know, Audrey's history is very complicated, biological mum dying, biological dad giving her up, then traveling around until she settled with her 'so called' brothers in the shaks before they ditched her, then living with Matt. Then biological (albeit whorish) father comes back into the picture, still in valks. But Audrey's never really soaked up the valk!girl influence, at all. That and Audrey's never really gotten along with many of her own gender, I think she's gotten along with Cat and that is because of their temper and violence prone nature. But I think Graham (despite it being like twilight where bella and jacob are really good friends, although, not really if you think about it) and Audrey would be quite close. I mean, Aud is so not the type to open up, but after this one thing that happens to her (well chronologically, it has already happened, I'm just too lazy to get caught up right now) I think Graham should be the first person to really hear it from her. if you're down for this friendship, I'll PM you what it is. xD That'll be super tough, like I said before, Audrey isn't much for the 'open your soul' kind of talks. I can so see them both jacking cars because Audrey will become reckless and just not care, well, not like she cares much before. They'll be partners in crime, literally! Hah, I'm having too much fun with this.

Hmmm, I think Graham should know Matt from the hospital, just because I need to get him more active again. He won't really be that nice to him, just passive, but since Aud is his cousin, she'll call him out on his doucheyness. Because she'll value Graham's friendship over Matt's feelings any day. Eric could be his teacher, and perhaps he sort of pushes him to get into some sports, just because? I dunno, I'm throwing shiz out there.

lol yeah from the sound of it i don't think effy would get along fabulously with many of your brood. i do like the idea of a little friendship between effy and jesse. she would be the hot girl who's friends with the dork, but i think it would be quite refreshing. effy's around beautiful stuck-up, snotty people all day and it'd be nice to hang out with someone who's normal. a little strange, but relatively normal. plus she'd get a kick out of making him stutter or freak out. lol i can see it now, her answering the door in a bikini and jesse going all daffy duck with the stutters. unless that's nothing like him. still funny. xD

i kind of figured when i picked tay that i'd be getting bribes from someone, especially you. not surprised xD. i love that shoot btw. so i think these two could definitely get along. usually graham's not the real "bad boy" type but i could see audrey bringing out a lot of what little there is. he doesn't really jack rides for the thrill, more to as a means of escape but i could see him starting to like it with audrey hanging out the window and hollering, just enjoying herself.

well i know i'm super late posting here but better late than never and i already love these two so we must plot! plus i haven't plotted with you much besides maeghan/carly which we need to work on too. anyway.

EFFY,
ahhh i love her. i seriously do. i love her whole dilemma with dropping out of school or not. now. plus her name is epic (: now, plotting. well i think she should definitely know nina since they're in the same year and both live in the valks. oh yeah and most importantly if effy's mum works at valkyrie hospital technically she is working for nina's dad since he owns it. maybe nina and effy have had to attend random hospital dinners with their parents and they could have hung out a bit back when nina was relatively normal before she went all valk!nina and all. i think they should be friends-but-not-quite. nina would have been slightly intimidated by effy being a model all her life hehe.
also maybe she and dustin could know each other somehow from some random events since they're both quite well known? i don't know haha. throwing it out there! and then maeghan can know her somehow. guh i can't think of anyone else right now but take your pick from any of my charries xD

GRAHAM,
ohmygosh i love him and not just because it's taylor lautner xD his back story is just super amazing and extremely original (: i'm very impressed haha. anyway he's also extremely plottable which is good. so firstly you may know i'm making a t.swift soon which also means i have some bribes and more bribes xD now i actually think jacqueline would be extremely intrigued by graham. she's all about breaking free from all of her royal responsibilities and to meet someone like him who is so far from everything she knows would totally excite her xD and she'd be all bubbly and not even notice his lack of social skills haha. she's used to her brother so people who aren't very social don't faze her at all. so yeah, i think we should plot them.

who else... well i imagine if jacqueline and graham start hanging out at all, her twin brother leo would be a bit suspicious of graham since he is the overprotective brother. if he found out about graham's past, he'd pretty much tell jacqueline to stay away from him. and he'll be quite distant etc. that could be fun xD so there we go. hopefully theres something plottable in there hehe <3

i think they would probably get along. she loves to make knew friends so she has like varieties of them. she can most likely get along with most people cause she is eclectic so she likes almost everything, she doesn't judge either. so i think she would be open to peoples interests and stuff. so i could see them being close maybe, or maybe just friendly until one opens up to the other so yeah, up to you lol.

scarlett && graham,,

okay! TAYLOR!!! YAYAY! okay, so i love his story. it is so sad and deep, i love characters like that! and oddly enough so does Scar! she is such a sweety and loves helping out. though she doesn't always see things clearly, for example if she's trying to help someone and they say they don't want it she won't back off. she loves to help and be a friend in any way someone needs. which is why i think theses two would be just adorable. i see her having a little crush on him and maybe that's what would push her to try and get to know him like others don't scar tries to make people comfortable, but sometimes it doesn't always work out that way, so she might overstep her bounderies. but she is a good person nonetheless. so she will back off if you really want her to. so like i was thinking these to might develop some kind of friendship at first. she will have already known he might not trust people but she doesn't really pay attention to that aspect. she will be a comforting person for him if he'd let her. she'd understand it would take him longer to warm up to her, but she is patient. she will wait as long as someone needs and she is very understanding. so, she would probaly be a good person for him to talk to if he didn't have anyone else, but when he was a little more comfortable. and like, scar understands it takes time so she will really try to make him as comfortable as possible. plus, i see how their similar. she doesn't like talking about her past or even want anyone to know anything about her, so i think that's why she tries so hard to find out about other people first. but it might not work that way with him, so i think she might let down her guard, for one because she'd probably really like him and think he was interesting, and tell him about her past. which is a big thing for her to do cause her father killed himself and she blames herself for all of the things that have happened to her so he might end up taking care of her. i think that would be hilarious cause he'd probably be like wtf?! so yeah, um it's up to you, i think they would be cute though. there kind of opposites but i think that's what might attract them together. opposites do attract lol. it's up to you though, i'm open to everything 8D.

alrighty, so i like both ideas. effy's pretty good about new friends but she's not one to go out and collect them like stamps. she'll be friend with whoever wants to be her friend and so as long as scarlett wants to, more power to her.

i love the idea with scarlett and graham. he'd definitely need a reason to really open up and her confession would be such a reason. i'm gonna have to warn you though, i'm terrible with guy characters so threads might be a little rocky and hard to interpret. consider yourself warned. but graham is easy enough to get into since i wrote him such a detailed history. hopefully he'll be easier.

since i'm here i might as well throw in something for carly. she's definitely not huge on making friends but i can totally see people mistaking her for scarlett and carly finally getting so fed up with being called someone else that she hunts her down? because i don't care how many times i have to say it, v justice and n dobrev look like they should be sisters. dunno how she'd really react to her. she might see scarlett as trying too hard and might be turned off to it all, she might have a moment of weakness and let her in. we'd just have to thread it and see how it goes.

awesome! that's so cool, i do like graham and scarlett and yea i do think that it would be easier for him if she were to open up first since she has a lot to open up about. she might be reluctant about it at first because she hates putting her feelings off on someone else and if she were to hear his story she would be like "i'm sorry, i'm sorry." i think it would be cute, but that's just me. also, i'm not good with guys so i mean, it's okay, i'm sure sense you did give him such a good past it might be much easier so don't worry about that at all, lol.

and yea effy, i think that would be fine!

yeah i like that too with carly. i know what you mean. they do look like they are like sisters, always have. um, but yeah i like that, i see carly as being like, "what the hell is everyone talking about, we don't look alike." kind of like denial and yeah, that would be funny. but yea, i'd love to thread that out! all of them too, so well see where it all goes hehe. 8D
