BRETT DAISY-PERRY KENNEDY.( I'M IN LOVE WITH WHAT WE ARE )( NOT WHAT WE SHOULD BE ) ----"I PROMISE," the blonde said as she parted her lips in a seductive smile. she leaned forward and twirled her fingers in the lock of hair at the base of the man's neck. "i'll bring it back better. plus... my payment will be worth your while." her free hand ran down his chest as she cocked her head to the side causing her dirty blonde hair to fall over her shoulders. "brett kennedy..." he said and wrapped his arms around her waist. "four days?" brett nodded and removed her arms. she reased around her back and grabbed his wrist and wrestled her way out of his hold. she can only turn her flirting on for son long before she wanted to throw up a little. "keys?" she asked shoving her hand in his face. he pulled them out of his pocket and placed them in her open palm. before he let go of them he said, "you have a licesnse, right?" brett smiled. "of course." mr. jesup let go of his hold. well, 'mr.' would kind of imply that he was old. in fact, he wasn't. he was almost done with his master's degree. he was twenty seven and from living down the street from where brett did, he had a massive crush on her. he was a major pushover though, which made him an easy target for girls like brett. he was kind of one of those textbook geeks. glasses, button up shirts, and had this nervous giggle and blushing every time she used his name and 'manly' in the same sentence.
"thank you," she said and stood up on her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. then, just like that, she was gone. she opened his front door and was greeted with the greatest road trip car. the whol reason why she came on to him and not anyone of the schmucks that would fawn all over her. she was surprised the old convertible hadn't been stripped by the gangbangers that lived down here. or reed's psycho cousin, finn, hadn't stolen it. well, it could use a fix-me-up, but hey, she was driving down to vegas in a convertible, how cliche could that get? however, it was kind of funny, because as of this morning, she wasn't planning on going. she was just going to stay here and work. that was until she found out that reed was going down at the last minute. she had been hanging out at the bar with carly and reed when that gorgeous redheaded friend of reed's, mary, came in and convinced him to come down. fifteen minutes later, carly said that her ride bailed on her. nothing to do, brett said that she'd go down with her. carly said she had a friend that was coming too, and brett said that was fine. brett wouldn't say that carly and she were amazing friends, but brett found her kind of cool, and she was happy to see that reed kind of moved on from his sexual attraction from her. besides, the two were hands down the best coyotes there with remy, so brett wanted to befriend her. brett told carly that she'd find them a car and her and her friend should be outside of bad seeds at three so they could leave and get there around five, around the time the bus would be arriving.
so, after departing bad seeds, brett went home and threw some clothes in a suitcase, packed other necessities and hunted down jesup to get his car. it all worked out and by three, brett rolled in front of bad seeds with the car. "hey, bitches," she had said and helped load the other girls' luggage into the back seat and trunk. she was introduced to maeghan, carly's friend. brett didn't feel the least bit weird that they were both still in high school while brett was struggling with the whole community college thing. if they all acted the same, (which is sure looked like this new blondie did) why not act all the same?
when the girls left city limits, brett actually felt relief as she left the place she grew up in. she never really ever got out. maybe a rare trip to los angeles, but never somewhere like vegas. that seemed like a very brett-esque destination. but mostly because the stress of what she had been going throw was beginning to feel suffocating. at all started when she and charlie rose snuck into the hospital's records room and found out who her father was, darren silver. the same man that made her best friend and roommate, remy, and a girls he punched in elementary school, tristan. oh, yes, they were all sisters now and brett wanted to gag. she hadn't really contacted him yet. tristan knew, remy knew. well, everyone knew because of that ss blog post. it just felt too surreal that one of the original trashy shak girls was half blue blood. that was kind of the complete opposite for what brett was about. the girl was raised by a handful of strippers might i remind you. didn't exactly scream 'pink' and 'tea parties.'
the wind flipped through her hair as they cruised down the highway being what girls did occasionally. well, not all girls, but girls like them. flipping off people they passed and even the sometimes flash if they deemed the driver next to them worthy. it was actually, kind of fun. not remy-fun for that was what brett was really use to. the two girls she was riding with didn't really know about her current situation, so that made it easier. she pulled her sunglasses up and turned to the girls to her right. "oh, i forgot to let you guys. i don't have a license. and this isn't my car." she shrugged like she was saying 'oops' and giggled. "i'm just borrowing it for the weekend, but people will probably think we stole it."

CAROLINE ISABELLE SUTTONHIGHWAY TO HELL VEGAS, BRETT'S RIDE, OCTOBER 2007 -----vegas, the city of sin. well for carly it seemed like a place more suited for her then keizer had ever been. the city of lights and of dancers. who wouldn't find some appeal in there somewhere? carly sure as hell did and nothing, not even her ride backing out at the last minute, was going to keep her from getting there. she'd almost had the idea ripped out of her hands the moment her brother had up and refused to take her to vegas. he'd been reluctant when she'd first mentioned it so the fact that he'd backed out really shouldn't have surprised her, but that didn't mean she wasn't still going to find a way there. after seeing her at bad seeds nate had a little more appreciation for carly and her ideas. he saw that the bar wasn't as horrid as he'd made it out to be in the beginning and that carly could actually hold her own. she wouldn't be surprised if he still had the bruise to show for carly's ability to hold her own. at least he knew now. still it apparently wasn't enough of a trust for him to agree to take her to vegas. the word pissed off hardly described her as she debated on throwing large, breakable objects his way. of course she wanted to hurt him, but that didn't mean that she couldn't at least attempt to hold it all back and deal with this like a civil person. of course she was screaming on the inside, but since when did that matter. instead carly was happy to just find some other way to get there and spite her untrustworthy brother all at the same time. think of it as killing two birds with one stone. and she'd already gotten lucky in her rock toss.
-----now brett kennedy was not her most favorite person in the word. saying that these two tolerated each other in fact hardly covered what was actually going on. truth be told, carly hadn't the slightest idea about what was going on between the two. she'd been in a hissy ever since carly had gotten a job as a coyote, probably more pissed off that she was lovingly nicknamed the "illegal coyote" and was likely to take down reed's business if some kind of administration ever came to check out the place. but carly had been on nothing but good behavior since getting a job there. aside from her brother's old heave-ho over his shoulder that had threatened carly's short-lived coyote career, there wasn't too many other cases in which carly had gotten into trouble. that being said, to carly's knowledge, no one really knew that she had slept with her boss only a short time ago. but that was all in the past. whatever sexual tension there may have been that had rattled brett's cage had now dissipated and work was as carefree as ever before. it was true though. things had yet to be difficult between herself and reed and as long as carly had a say in the matter that would be the way it stayed. she'd pretty much gotten reed out of her system and nothing else mattered. she could happily go to work and not have to worry about a thing, until it came out. unless it already had and carly had missed it, but there had been no indicators of that. still up until the day that it came out, carly would be fine to not deal with it. work was now a much calmer place and she had her hormones to thank, haha.
-----it at least meant that things at work were now more civil. what more could a girl ask for. still that didn't mean that when she was asking around for a ride to vegas, that brett kennedy would be one to volunteer. it was enough to throw carly off her game a little. say what? but yes, she had been thrown completely off guard when brett of all people had offered a ride. sure there was the possibility that it was all just some ploy to get her out into the desert where brett could toss her out onto the hot sand on her ass, but carly was willing to risk it. after all, there was always the minuscule possibility that this could work out in both of their favors. who knows, maybe they would come back from vegas as acquaintances as opposed to enemies at work. how much easier would that make her life? uh tons. carly was sure she could like brett. hell if it hadn't been for that "whatever" between her and reed she was sure that she and brett could have gotten along by now. they were rather similar anyways, otherwise they wouldn't have ended up in the same place, working the same job, yada, yada, yada. she she was willing to risk it all for the sake of this maybe working out. who knew. it wasn't as if she were gunning for reed as an out to getting easy money. please. first of all she a) was better than that and b) hadn't wanted this job for her employer. she'd wanted to work at bad seeds because she loved to dance and wanted it more than anything. since being a famous dancer in some company was pretty much out of the question, carly was happy to settle with a job where she had fun dancing on a bar. sure it sounded sleazy, but when carly loved it nothing else in the world mattered.
-----that in itself was another battle for another day. at least now she could focus on getting out of valkyrie and having a much needed vacation away from all of the drama and god only knew what else. so what if the designated driver was brett? she was getting to vegas one way or another and she was going to have getting there. since it was already predetermined there was no reason to dispute it, question it, or otherwise. so there she stood, maeghan at her side, when brett pulled up. she smiled beneath her sunglasses, grabbing her duffel and tossing it in the back along with brett's and maeghan's things. "decent ride. i approve." carly said with a smirk as she walked around the trunk of the car and slid into the seat, making way for maeghan somewhere beside her. it finally seemed to sink in about five miles out on the highway that she was actually going to go to vegas to party away like there had been no drama in her life. what a relief that was. just to forget about it all for however long vegas lasted, and carly was going to milk it for as long as she could, was a blessing. it was as if carly was in the car with two clones of herself as they all flipped off cars and had a grand old time. who would have thought that carly and brett could actually have fun in a car together? as brett spoke carly turned to look at her, adjusting her sunglasses. "no license, and here i thought i was the irresponsible one." carly joked with a carefree smile. no this was not a day to start something or feed the fuel of the brett/carly fire. it was just a day for fun and as she'd promised herself before, fun was what she was going to get. "hope you're good at getting out of things then cuz i'm sure i can't do it all on my own." with a chuckle carly ran her fingers through her hair, loosening it from the nape of her neck and letting it fly out behind her like a dark brunette flag.

MAEGHAN HARRIS, - - - - - I'M FLYING DOWN THE FAST LANE DOING NINETY-FIVE, NINETY THINGS ON MY BRAIN don't know where the hell i'm going- - - - - By now, Maeghan Harris was a fucking expert at packing for trips. She was so good she could probably write a book about it and sell millions. Not that she could be bothered with that. Who read books anyway these days? Nerds and losers with no lives, that's who. Anyway, Maeghan wouldn't have time to write a book because she was too busy packing every five fucking minutes. Seriously. Maeghan had been in Valkyrie for about a few weeks and already she was emptying out her half-unpacked wardrobe and chucking everything into a bags. Still, at least this time Maeghan wasn't being kicked out of anywhere or anything. This time Maeghan actually had a choice in it and even more ironically, this time she had someone practically demanding for her to stay home. That someone was her older and completely useless brother Dustin Harris of course. He claimed it wasn't good for a Harris to be 'out in the public eye' right now considering the fact that his big court case was coming up in about two weeks. Dustin's reasoning for Maeghan staying away from the paparazzi was that they would recognise her as his sister and he didn't want them pestering her. In reality he was probably just freaking out that Maeghan would diss the crap out of him. What a loving relationship these two siblings had.
Throwing a couple more t-shirts into her bag, Maeghan smirked to herself at the thought of Dustin acting as though he had some power over her. Not likely. He was probably jealous that Maeghan was going out to have heaps of fun in the best town in America, Las Vegas while he sat at home sulking. That's right, Maeghan was off to Las Vegas and even better she was headed off with one of her only friends so far in this lame town, Carly Sutton. Oh and apparently they were grabbing a lift down with Carly's friend? Brett. Maeghan wasn't sure what was going on between Carly and Brett but honestly she didn't give a fuck about who was friends with who. As long as she got a ride down to Vegas and didn't have to worry about too much, she was happy. This was almost as epic as her impromptu holiday in France with one of her best friends from boarding school Emily. They hadn't planned any of it but simply packed their bags and went to France for the entire school holidays. Amazing fun. Hopefully Vegas was going to be like that only about ten times more fun and everyone else would speak her language which was a major bonus. No more retarded sign language. Oh and not to mention the partying would be so much more intense.
That was another thing Maeghan happened to be excellent at. Partying. God she could probably put Lindsay Lohan to shame, although she was always sober enough to keep her panties on thank goodness. Only just though. Thank goodness she was smart enough to know when she was smashed enough. That would probably go out the window in Vegas though. Hello, it was Vegas. The idea was to have fun and fun was what exactly Maeghan needed. She was so bored in Valkyrie so far. Nothing interesting had happened yet and considering Maeghan's lifestyle in boarding school, it was no wonder she was bored. When she'd heard about Vegas, of course she'd been up for it. Oh those Vegas kids had no idea what they were in for. A treat indeed. Maeghan quickly zipped up her bag finally and picked it up easily, well aware that she was possibly going to be late if she didn't get her butt moving soon. Half flying down the stairs, Maeghan paused only briefly by the front door to wave to her older brother who was boredly flicking through some weird lifestyle channels. Weird. Thank God Maeghan was getting out of here. "Leaving. Bye. If Mum calls tell her I died. I doubt she'll care but you never know." she flashed a bitter smirk at Dustin who didn't barely even moved to acknowledge her presence. Huffing, Maeghan walked out the front door, letting it slam behind her.
A short time later Maeghan was waiting at Bad Seeds with Carly for Brett and the ride to show up. Sure enough, before Maeghan could start her bitchy complaints about people being late, Brett drove up. "About time." Maeghan commented with a smirk on her face as she was introduced to Brett. Brett seemed pretty cool and she was a few years older which Maeghan approved of. There were so many immature brats running around these days but Brett seemed to be on a similar wave length to Maeghan and Carly. Indeed, as they began the drive down to LA, Maeghan felt completely comfortable despite the fact that she'd only just met Brett and had only known Carly for a few weeks. Flipping off cars passing by and doing the occasional flashing if the driver was worth it, Maeghan couldn't help the delighted smile on her face. This was what life was really about. Fuck her brother and his tragic fame. She had friends and Vegas. As Maeghan flipped off some random old guy in a truck, Brett began to talk and Maeghan turned to listen curiously. "Just what I need. More trouble." Maeghan rolled her eyes. Like getting kicked out of boarding school for drugs wasn't bad enough. Not that she cared. "Oh well. We'll be in Vegas. Let's just hope we get the hot cops and we'll be fine." Maeghan winked at the girls next to her. "They're not going to arrest three hot girls like us." she shrugged with a small natural laugh and leaned back in her seat, letting all of her worries and annoyances at her brother slip out of her mind so she was left with only the excitement of LA and what it would bring.

BRETT DAISY-PERRY KENNEDY.( I'M IN LOVE WITH WHAT WE ARE )( NOT WHAT WE SHOULD BE ) ----AFTER BRETT AND CHARLIE FOUND OUT THE IDENTITY of her real father, brett went to her mother. it took three times because every time bretty went to the house, her mother was never around. for all the nineteen year old knew, her mom was lying in some ditch bleed out, in some scuzzy-ass public restroom overdosing on cocaine, or gett beat down by some paying client in the back of a mercedes benz. as you can tell, brett gave her mother too much or, not enough credit. when the infamous town slut, sandy kennedy finally decided to show her face, brett sat her down and said that she knew. "knew what?" sandy had asked. "that my father didn't die in a fucking fire like you said he did."
oh the days when sandy dreamed up this grand dream that brett was named after her father who was a fireman and died in a fire saving two small children. that was nice heroic way to think of her father. up until her mother drunkly confessed to brett that her father was some rich man living in the valks with his new family. way to ruin a grand image of someone you never met. brett didn't know who she had hated more: her mother who lied, or her father who never really stepped up? it was an even toss up. brett ran a hand through her windblown hair as they cruised down the highway. she wondered if they would pass anyone they knew. if they did she would for sure flash them. tell carly to take the wheel, lean over and... you get it. "no license, and here i thought i was the irresponsible one." brett laughed. "then you definitely haven't been around me long enough." all brett was was irresponsible. besides the attempt to take care of her druggie mother, brett never thought twice before doing something. "don't worry," she said continuing, "i won't leave you hanging all by yourself." maeghan piped up that if they were lucky, they'd get hot cops. fat chance though. hot cops generally only existed in movies. or if there were, what were the chances they'd pull you over, right? no one could be that lucky. "They're not going to arrest three hot girls like us." brett grinned. "fuck yeah they won't!" she hollered out, throwing her head back slightly and laughed. she tapped on the acceleration pedal a little bit more. she was already going well over the allotted speed limit, but brett didn't really care. every several miles she'd see the green sign to her left that would read "Las Vegas" and then the miles that were left until they got there. It steadily decreased and decreased, and well she was getting rather impatient. vegas seemed like a very 'brett' type of place to go, didn't it? and though she was born and bred in valkyrie, her grandparents did come from vegas, so that had to count for something, didn't it? she always wanted to know why they moved out of it. her mother said it was because they just wanted to get out, start fresh something else. either they got into some deep shit with one too many loan sharks, or one of those vegas rumors were true. how it wasn't the same if you lived there. sort of... lost it's 'pa-zaz.' one of those cities where you were better of visiting it than living there and getting tired of it. and, brett was never particularly close to her grandparents. she had probably only seen them once or twice, but she was always too young to remember. they moved out of valkyrie when her uncle, wyatt, was a toddler. and since her mother was a complete train wreck, she never allowed her parents to come to valkyrie and see how she lived. but... this trip was all in good fun, right? no worries about her mother, valkyrie, darren silver, nobody. well, she must have maintained her twenty-five over the speed limit cruising, because before she knew it, she heard a siren. whipping her head around her she saw the little white and blue car of death. "oh, shit!" what were the chances again? she hit the side of the steering wheel with her palm and looked in her rear view mirror. the cop car was undoubtedly following them. "jesus christ. i can't believe it," she complained as she started to slow and turned on her blinker to pull off on the side of the road. "is he old?" she asked, not wanting to look out the mirror again. she was persuasive and seductive, sure, but could they really tuck themselves out of something like this? had their vegas trip already stopped beore it even began? shit, were they going to jail? brett knew for sure that they weren't in any real city, so the cop behind them probably was just some patrol car from one of the neighboring towns. like those ones that spawned the texas chainsaw massacre or some inbreeding shit. she completely slowed, and veered off onto the gravel. "so, what's the gameplan?" ______________ STATUS, complete CRED, format/graphics to me. lyrics 'animal' - ke$ha LOCATION & TIME, road to vegas, november 2007 CLOTHES, here TAGGED, carly & maeghan I SAY, no comment >.<
