okayyyy so royal has never needed to post one of these before, but she's having a dilemma. i have three characters who have been partying inside of my head and they really want a more permanent place to live. lol basically, my dilemma is whether i can keep them alive if i take them out of my head and turn them into actual characters, so i'm hoping to get some feedback to see if anyone would enjoy them besides me. lol plus, i need to know if anyone would be interested in plotting with them, because let's face it, it's just not fun rping by yourself. x)

KIPPER SELWYN

okay, of course kipper has to come first because he's the one who's been in my head the longest - since i created the selwyns to begin with. you may know some of his story already, but in case you don't, here goes.

kipper was the second child born into his family, his brother kyson being the only one older than him. the family was middle class, living outside of dublin, ireland as kipper grew up, but unbeknownst to them all, their father had once been part of the irish mob. he had left the life when he got married and had children, but that fact didn't matter to the italians when they finally tracked him down. when kipper was fifteen and kyson was eighteen, both of their parents were brutally murdered by the italians and kyson took all of the siblings, escaping the house barely with their lives. kyson took them to dublin to stay with their aunt and he snuck out after dark to exact revenge on the italians who had killed his parents. he shot two men but didn't kill anyone - to his luck - but on his way back to dublin in the rain, he was stopped by the police and ended up being thrown into jail for nine years.

elsewhere, kipper found out what had happened and was initially upset with his brother for not including him - kipper had always been the more passionate of the two while kyson was the thinker - but that irritation blew over when kyson sent kipper the first letter after he was imprisoned. kyson knew his younger brother was more headstrong and brash than him, so he sought to bring kipper's emotions in line, to use his anger for a purpose instead of him just barging into the italian mob's headquarters and getting himself killed as kyson had almost done. under kyson's tutelage, kipper began amassing what they would need for starting their branch of the irish mafia up after kyson was released. you may wonder why kipper didn't just run it himself while kyson was in jail? well, that's not his style. he had no desire to be in charge, and he'd always looked up to his older brother despite their differences in personality. when kyson was finally released, they began plotting out their revenge, and kyson succinctly began to fall in love with a barmaid from the local bar where they did most of their planning.

throughout his time along, while his older brother was in prison, kipper had developed a liking for females. perhaps it was because he'd lost his mother at a young age, and he was trying to find the perfect woman to replace her, who knows. he lost his virginity at sixteen, not long after his parents' deaths and kyson's imprisonment, and he didn't stop there. he was well known in his school, and it wasn't hard for him to woo females. this seems typical, yes, but it was his way of forgetting about the problems the world posed for him. when his oldest brother was taken from their family, kipper was stuck living with their aunt and taking care of his younger siblings. he had to get a job at sixteen while also attending school, and the stress was too much for him. in his free time, he screwed and smoked and partied like there was no tomorrow. these habits became a part of him, and he'd sired his first child by the age of nineteen. did he stick around, marry the girl, become the perfect dad? not in the least. he skipped town before the child could be born, and he never looked back. callous, yes. but he knew he would never be a father figure despite his abilities to donate sperm. at least he was honest with himself.

the first child he ever began to care for was his nephew connor who was born merely nine months after kyson married his wife tessa. kipper had never cared to even look at a kid before, but connor was his nephew. that somehow made it different for him. all of the sweetness that was hidden beneath the hard exterior of the man was oozed out on the little boy, and connor became kipper's shadow when he was old enough to talk. later on, the boy also took strongly after his uncle, being more prone to rash thoughts and behavior than his father ever had, and he picked up his uncle's habits of sleeping around. kipper, if he knew, never said anything about this. he didn't really care. connor was like a son to him, and he would be the only person in the world who could actually be proud of the kid. but his relationship with his nephew never reminded him of the own offspring he had created. after getting that girl pregnant when he was nineteen, he had 'accidentally' done it again when he was twenty-one, twenty-two (twice), twenty-four... and the list goes on. in the long run, he sired seven children that he never even met. yeah, quite a feat.

basically, my biggest issue with kipper is probably his age. i've never played someone as old as him, and i'm afraid i wouldn't be able to relate even though he's not necessarily as mature as a 49 year old should be. lol he's basically like an overgrown teenager, but eh, i don't know. he's so interesting to me, but i don't want to screw him up. help?!

SINCLAIRE SELWYN

PB: KHERINGTON PAYNE

so i watched fame, and i loved it. x) after seeing it, i noticed how much kherington payne reminded me of dianna agron, and i was hit with the realization that i could make her into a selwyn cousin. it excited me. don't ask why. i'm a nerd like that. anywho, i really like her face, and i would love to make a complex character with her, but i'm worried that she'd be like my other girls. either a wild crazy party girl or a bitch. lol and i don't want that, but i also don't want her to just be a sweet cuddly little thing either. i want her to have some edge. so, in fame she plays a girl who's an awesome dancer and she ends up getting accepted into the world's best dance company, etc etc. i don't want that exact storyline, but maybe something similar? she would be one of kipper selwyns numerous kids, and i think she should have daddy issues. i don't see her mother lying to her and pretending like her father died or something. she would probably tell her that he got her pregnant and ran out on her. for some reason, i see this girl as being pretty straightforward and admitting the darker shadows of life instead of running from them like so many people do. even so, i don't picture her as being pessimistic about it. she's just honest. i think the way she would find her way into valkyrie was looking for her father out of simple curiosity. her mother didn't make him out to be a monster, she just told her daughter how it happened, so i don't think she would hate him. i think she would just want to see him.

apart from that, i would like for her to be settled somewhat. i picture her as being like eighteen to twenty-one, somewhere in that age range, and i like the idea of her being a dancer. i think it would be fun if she was a wellknown dancer, but kipper had managed never to know how they were connected. that would be fun. probably my biggest worry with her is that i've already got a bunch of girls, and girls are easier to make than guys sometimes b/c there are so many pb's out there, and i just don't like for my girls to go loveless. xD if that makes any sense at all. i would like for her to have some hope in her life since she's gone without a dad forever, and all that. *shrug* what do you guys think?

last but not least, another connor/kahlan sib! i've probably been wanting to make him for almost as long as i've been wanting to create kipper (well, after connor and kahlan, obviously lol). for some reason, i just adore kyson's kids, and i can't stay away from them. hee hee aaaaand, it's been practically impossible for me to find a pb for the second-oldest selwyn sibling of kyson's branch, but once i thought of zach, i fell in love. he's just so adorable. x) plus, he's like the only member of the tvd cast who hasn't been used as a pb yet apart from bonnie. lol! that just came to me... anywho...

basically, with my other two babies, connor and kahlan, i've made them similar yet not alike in very key ways. connor is wholeheartedly into his crime life while kahlan despises their father and has always wanted a life of her own. however, she did always want to be in on what was going on, but her father wouldn't let her since she was 'his little girl'. so she's not disloyal to the family, she just hates how her father always left her out, so she's gone her own way. so with asher, i want him to be just as dissimilar and yet alike to his siblings as the two current ones already are to each other. surprisingly enough, i have a pretty good outline of him in my head.

i see him as being one of the only siblings who really wants nothing to do with their lifestyle. he still loves his siblings, but he's got daddy issues just like the other two, and his reason is because he didn't want to be in on what was going on. his older brother connor has always been a soldier, since he was born, but asher just wasn't. he's done his fair share of killing and soldiering along with con, but he never wanted it to be his life. so, he left home when he was old enough and became an actor. ha, random, right? he managed to get into new york theatre and has made a name for himself as a stage actor in some pretty big name plays. he also has a sexy singing voice, and he's debated branching into broadway, but he hasn't done so yet. his father hates his lifestyle, thinks it isn't manly, but his siblings support him. the great thing about the selwyn kids is that they support each other despite their parents' feelings on their lives. although connor and kahlan are close, kahlan is also close to asher as well. connor and asher tend to argue when they're around each other long enough just because connor also doesn't understand why asher doesn't want to be a soldier, but he would never write his younger brother off.

so yeah, i love asher and how he's different from my other guys, but i have a mild worry that i may not be able to find enough pictures for him. zach roerig was a model before he got a role on tvd, but there wasn't a huge fanbase for him, so there aren't a whole lot of pics. however, i did recently find a fansite for him, so that gave me some hope and now i do want to make him even more. plus, the bribes with him are just epic:

hope i can help out here. but since you asked for it, you get my two cents.

jdm = yum. haven't seen him on much but i absolutely adored him in supernatural. can't say i didn't swoon cuz i did but that whole "i'm kinda gonna act like your father figure" thing was cute when john was around. idk how many of my peeps would know/want to know kipper. of my eldest, sarai, j.r., and maggie, i think he'd terrify sarai and my crime babies won't have the best go with the irshman since maggie's "engaged" to a gio. so dunno how much i can help out on that front.

omg kherington! i adore her. i watched her on SYTYCD and i've loved her. i was so happy to hear that she'd gotten a movie gig since the show. if she's a dancer she'd get along perfectly with carly, hell she could probably even be a coyote if she wants that little bit of edge in there, just saying. dunno how well they'd get along, that depends on what she'll be like if you make her, but there's always a possibility for plotting there. plus, carly needs some older influences in her life.

i loooove asher for obvious reason. we must plot him and carly due to pictures. especially if he's nothing like the rest of his family. carly may talk big but the minute she finds out about his mob ties she'd be all iffy about him. only once he proved to be nothing like a mob kid would she probably get to trusting him. dunno how they'd meet, but hey, i'm loving the tvd people on this site. plus if he's friends with carly it could cause some issues with him and ksenia? because you can't pass up those pics either xD.

yay, ruby for replying! i love you! *glomphuggle* i'm definitely psyched that somebody already likes my babies. jdm is definitely yum, gots to agree with you there. i could totally see kipper hitting on maggie despite their drastic difference in age, but especially if he found out about the gio thing. lmao plus he'd love the affinity for knives she's got. just sayin'. lol he'd pat connor on the back for almost getting her in the sack. haha

isn't kherington just gorg?! the minute i saw her in fame, i was like "wow! she's really perfect for a pb!" haha i'm such a nerd. i definitely think she and carly would hit it off. they both love the dancing thing, and maybe sinclaire could even be like her mentor, helping her get into the dancing business professionally down the road? that would be neat. i see sin really liking carly b/c carly doesn't put up with crap, and sin enjoys honest people.

and finally, asher! i most certainly would love to plot him with all of the tvd characters. hee hee it would be so cute to see his, carly's, and ksenia's dynamic. i adore matt/caroline on the show, so i'm a sucker for them, but i think he would still be interested in carly (not only for the sake of the show, but b/c hey, she's a pretty girl lol) despite her feelings for seb. he probably wouldn't try to get into a relationship with her or anything, but i could see them ending up to be really good buddies in the long run. heck, he'd even understand her wariness about the mob ties (maybe she's the only person who knows about it for a while? he'd probably meet ksenia and they could connect in that way, but that's another story), and it could be a way for them to bond.

i like your ideas! we're definitely going to be plotting these babies when i get them created (whenever i can lol!).

and here i am attempting to make my rounds before i go to work. i want to feel better about myself.

so first i'll start with kipper, who sounds awesome, i will admit. i think i just read that jdm is now dating hilarie burton. i was like 'whoa! that's random' but that actually has nothing to do with this, i just felt the need to mention that because i know if i said something to my friends they would be like 'who is jdm and hilarie burton' yay for vside friends who know people. so if you make him, he'd probably only be plotting with my gios, indirectly, or directly. kind of depends. and finn, if he goes through with trying to join the irish mob. it would be kind of cool if he was the other dude that questioned violet in the basement. but since he is older, you're right, he might be harder to plot. that's kind of the situation i had with fausto. he's involved with the gio kids so much, but he's more of just my biggest side-character out there xD

kherington was so good in fame, and i think sinclaire sounds pretty epic. and her backstory is sad and awesome at the same time, if that is even possible xD i think she could get along with some of my kids. i think her and bevin would get along. i don't have any dancers, haha which is strange with all my characters but i think her and nora maybe, because nora is really good with the piano. oh! and sinclaire and brett xD and then if you want her to be coyote, she'd be doing some plotting with reed.

asherrr. lol, i think all we need is bonnie and then we got the whole main vside cast. xD ok, well, we're getting a rough draft out for some asher/bevin... basher! plotting. so i'll leave that alone. let's see. so obviously we'll be plotting him and violet. their pictures are good outside of tvd. i think their dating in rl? anyhoo, of course she'll auto-hate him for being a selwyn, but when she sees he's not like his family and has other interests, that might sway her opinion on him. luca will still hate on him, finn would call him a pussy, riley would like him, and wyatt...hm, idk xD but yeah. that was my two cents.

Lainey! I love all of your ideas! I definitely think we could plot with all three of them and your charries. And HILARIE BURTON AND JDM, SRSLY? I looked it up after you mentioned it, and there are pics of them from The Losers premiere! Wow. lol I gots to admit, they are a pretty hot couple though. xD Anywhooo...

Kipper could definitely have been the other one to 'interview' Violet. He'd probably be the only one who wouldn't hate Connor for what he did just b/c he would see it - in a strange way - of getting what she deserved just b/c she's a Gio. The age thing is exactly my biggest issue with him. I could always have him as a side I suppose. That way I could plot him when I wanted, but I wouldn't necessarily have to worry about posting with him all the time, ya know? Good idea. lol

I actually like the idea of Sin being a coyote. I was thinking about her dancing the other night, and I could see her doing that in her spare time or something. Crazy enough, I've always wanted a character who could be friends with Brett just b/c I like her even though I've never directed rped with her. lol Bevin seems like the type who would be a friend of hers too.

Basher! Such an epic name! xDDD They're definitely going to be epic, I just know it. I would love to have some Asher/Violet action too just b/c they're adorable in pics. I'm thinking they're dating in rl too since there's all those pics of them at awards shows and such. They're gorgeous. x) It would also be pretty ironic if Violet ended up falling for him considering that he's Connor's younger brother. lol! I can just see him freaking the second he finds out Connor raped her. He'd go apeshit on Connor's face. xD He'd probably hate Luca by association, and I could see some drama between them if something were to happen w/ Asher and Vy.
