MAEGHAN HARRIS, - - - - - SHE WANNA BE A BAD GIRL, SHE WANNA BE A BAD GIRL SHE RUNNING FROM HER PAST LIFE looking for the spotlight- - - - - "Ew, get your gross wrinkly hands off me. Jesus!" Maeghan Chrystal Harris squirmed as her new but incredibly old teacher marched her down the corridors of Valkryie Academy. "Way to consider the fact that it's like only my first fucking day here." she muttered half under her breath, glaring at the lockers. That earned her a tighter grip on the arm and the teacher sighed. "I tried, I tried but that language and behaviour is simply not acceptable here." the old prude said with pursed lips. God this school was insane. At least the teachers back at boarding school had let her curse a few times. Although Maeghan supposed that sitting on her desk throwing paper at random kids while her teacher rambled on about Shakespeare and screaming 'fuck you all!' as she got dragged outside wasn't the best idea on her first day. Whatever, it had earned her a few looks from everyone and we all know Maeghan adored having all eyes on her. Plus, it was good to keep things interesting. Class was always so fucking boring, why not liven it up a bit? She was the new girl after all and everyone was probably sussing her out to see what she was like so rather than sit in a corner and be all shy, waiting to be approached, Maeghan preferred to put herself out there and let everyone see the wild side of her. Not that there was any other side.
But still, detention on her first day of school here? Surely that was unnecessary. Maeghan huffed a big sigh. Seriously, how far away was this detention room? She could have sworn they'd been walking for about fifteen minutes although it probably felt longer than it actually was. "Augh. How far away is this stupid naughty corner anyway?" Maeghan asked with a smirk on her face, attempting to shrug off the prude's hold on her arm once more but damn, that lady had a good grip. That was surely going to leave a bruise so maybe Maeghan would be able to complain about child abuse or something crazy like that. Ha, that'd be fun and totally something she would do without even battering an eyelash. The teacher - god Maeghan could barely even remember name...something likes Mrs Fields or something? - shook her head. "Not far." was all she said. Sure enough, a moment later they turned a corner and Maeghan saw a door with the sign 'Detention Center' written on a gold plaque. Shit, this school was fancy. Opening the door, Mrs Fields pushed Maeghan inside. "Now I expect you to behave when you are in here. There will be a supervisor watching you so no acting up." she hissed to Maeghan who flinched slightly as she felt some spit fly onto her face. Oh fuck no. That was just disgusting.
Mrs Fields went and had a quick chat to the teacher who was sitting at a desk at the front of the room and while she did so, Maeghan looked around the room. There were only two other students in the room and they were both sitting near the front of the room looking half asleep. So this was detention in Valkyrie. Yawn. Maeghan slid passed the students tapping her fingers on both of their desks as she made her way to the very back. Finally she slid gracefully into a seat directly in the middle of the the back row and gave a sarcastic wave to Mrs Fields who was leaving now. The lady gave her a warning look before closing the door. And now we enter the boring part. Detention. Maeghan huffed again and slumped in her seat, staring at the ceiling. "Dude, can we do something fun?" she called out across the room to the teacher at the front who thankfully looked younger than Mrs Fields. The teacher didn't even bother responding to this aloud. Instead he just raised his eyebrows and shook his head at her before turning back to his ridiculously fat book. So that was it? Just sit and be quiet? Ugh that was so not Maeghan's style. She was awful at keeping quiet. Especially in classrooms with strict teachers and harsh rules that were just begging to be broken. Yeah, and that was why she was here. But still, Maeghan supposed she could try and test herself to see how long she could be quiet for.
Ten minutes of staring at the ceiling later, Maeghan sat up. "Excuse me, I need to pee." she said loudly. Sure, the toilet excuse was a bit of a cliche excuse to get out of class and detention etc, but it was almost impossible to turn down. You couldn't let a kid just hold it in for too long. Both the other students looked up at her in surprise, with good reason since it had been basically dead silence ever since she'd last spoken. "Sorry, no leaving the room," the teacher said boredly, not even looking up from his book. "You can't do that. Do you want me to like, crap myself in here then? What if I need to...do girl stuff!" she said, putting on a desperate tone, smirking inwardly as she spotted the slightly panicky look on the guy's face. Ah, guys were hopeless when it came to girls and PMS. Still, he was tougher than she expected because a second later he shook his head firmly. "No, you can wait a bit longer. Remain in your seat." And with that, he was immersed in his book again. "Aughhh." Maeghan moaned aloud, climbing onto her desk and swinging her legs to and fro. "This is so boooooring." she complained aloud. Why couldn't there at least have been someone else interesting in detention with her?
And to think, only about an hour or so to go. This was going to be fun.

CARLY ISABELLE SUTTONVALKYRIE ACADEMY, DETENTION CENTER, AFTERNOON -----eyes unenthusiastically scanned over the dry erase bored as her feet shook the desk in front of her earning her yet another dirty look from the prim and proper little bookworm who she was shaking. carly gave a sarcastic smile as she chewed away on gum, reveling in the scoff that she'd earned from the girl in front of her. as per usual when carly got bored she took to making other people annoyed. it was a hobby and one that she had particular enjoyment for. "miss sutton, remove your feet and spit out the gum please. i understand this is a snore for you but you could at least stand to not disrupt other students." was calling her out supposed to be some big to do? honestly this school was nothing if not strict on trying to make students shame themselves into submission, something that would never be accomplished as far as carly sutton was concerned. "but this place could use a little shaking up." carly spat back with a bitter smile, cocking her head to the side in a clearly defiant action. "perhaps then you'd like to teach the class miss sutton?" "my pleasure!" she said immediately, popping out of her chair to the dismay of the teacher. she was lucky to get one of the new ones. poor little thing didn't have a clue what she was doing and carly was happy to make her cry every so often. she walked up to the front of the room, taking out her gum and sticking it underneath the teacher's desk, smirking at the "oohs" that came from the class.
-----"first things first class," carly began, mocking the teacher perfectly as she grabbed the chalk and proceded make a massive X through everything that the teacher had just written on the board. "history is a snore. people think that if we study the lives of these old people we'll some how not make the same mistakes. i've got news for you, people are stupid. no matter how much we study these old cronies some big cheese of a country is going to get sick of playing who's dick is bigger with another country and is going to bomb them, assassinate someone, or whatever pops into their jealous little head." the teacher, shocked, retreated to the back of the room and slid out the door, no doubt running to find some elder teacher who knew how to deal with this. carly continued without pause, "so get it through your thick little skulls, as long as one person wants what the other has, there will be wars and there will be death and destruction. it's just because the head honcho isn't losing anyone close to them that they continue. kill bin laden's kid or whatever and i can guarantee you that wars will end a lot quicker. lesson over kiddies, recess for everyone!" carly got a mix of cheers and scoffs as she bowed. with a smile she pranced around the teacher's desk, 'accidentally' spilling the answers to the next test to the floor. "oops." she said with fake enthusiasm, waggling her eyebrows at the priss who sat in front of her before she scooped up her bag.
-----she was out the door when the teacher returned, one of the veteran teachers on her heels as she'd predicted. "let me guess, 'you! detention you!'" she mocked once again as she waltzed off toward the detention hall, center, room, whatever the hell it was called, blowing a kiss behind her as the teacher returned to the room and the old woman tried to catch up to her, after a minute she stopped chasing her and just gave up, only making carly laugh. "old hag." she scoffed as she walked down the empty hallway to the detention center. she took her sweet time as she walked, pausing by some classrooms and scratching meaningless nothings into the particular lockers of some people she couldn't stand. eventually she made it to the detention center, opening the door and smiling over at the guy in charge. carly laughed as he rolled his eyes saying something about liking him so much that she couldn't stay away. "oh you know it baby. bone me." she said sarcastically, putting a hand on her hip and cocking her finger at him in a 'come hither' fashion. "that's against school policy you underage brat." "ew! omg you actually considered it! i should report you. and since you've taken so long to ask i'm here because i decided to school the new history teacher. honestly i summed up the entire semester in one day. i should so be employed here." she said sarcastically as she turned away from him and headed toward the back of the room. her usual chair was occupied, with annoyed her some, but she plopped down in the one beside it without a word.
-----carly made no attempt to be quiet as she turned the desk in front of hers and propped her feet up. ah she could use a nice little vacation, detention would have to do.

MAEGHAN HARRIS, - - - - - SHE WANNA BE A BAD GIRL, SHE WANNA BE A BAD GIRL SHE RUNNING FROM HER PAST LIFE looking for the spotlight- - - - -
Fo shit this was boring. Like seriously. Maeghan had probably checked the clock about twenty times now. It had been roughly fifteen or so minutes since she had entered this little pathetic attempt at a detention room and oh my god Maeghan was like totally close to dying from boredom. "Fuuuuuuuuuck I'm bored." Maeghan moaned to herself, sliding backwards into her seat and propping her legs out on the desk so she was almost horizontal. "Miss Harris, please sit up properly." Maeghan rolled her eyes as the supervisor boredly called out to her for what was probably like the tenth time already today. "No thanks, but good on you for saying please." she shot back flashing a smirk before rocking back on the back two legs of her chair. "She got me love stoned, man i swear she's bad and she knows...c'mon people, sing along! Baby I swear that she's bad and she knows!" Maeghan sung loudly and extremely obnoxiously. The other two people at the front still hadn't said a word although the big guy who was probably like a thug who beat up people as a hobbie kept glaring at her. What was he going to do, punch her in front of a teacher? Go ahead. Show me what you've got. Hit a girl. Go for it. Maeghan wouldn't be surpised, nor would she hold back in fighting straight back. She'd regularly got into fist fights with random girls at boarding school, right in the middle of class! She really didn't have any problems holding back whatsoever.
Maeghan had never been one to shy away from trouble. Ha, her big mouth in class had clearly proved that and her behaviour in detention right now was was only proving that even more so. In fact, all you had to do was look at her entire history to know that if there was trouble brewing somewhere, you could bet all your money that Maeghan would be right behind the whole thing. Whether it was swearing in class, pissing off her classmates or just causing as much havouc as possible, she'd do it. In Valkyrie however, this wasn't as fun so far. She'd done her usual classroom dramas, minus the cat fight at the back of the room but with the lack of friends so far, she wasn't enjoying it as much which kind of sucked. Maeghan had become accustomed to having her little group of friends cheering her on and giggling along with her whenever she did something crazy and against the rules. Today, well sure there'd been some kids who laughed along and smiled as she acted out but there'd been no usual familiar faces in the room with her. No one had really dared to speak much to her yet. God, Maeghan had forgotten how much being the new kid sucked. At least in boarding school she'd come at the beginning of the semester so there had been a few other new kids too and she wasn't a complete loner.
Throwing a smirk towards the thuggy guy at the front, Maeghan moved her chair back onto all four legs and hoisted herself up so she was sitting on the desk once more. This was so stupid. She was Maeghan Harris, the girl who befriended the it girls of her year level on her third day of boarding school and quickly became one of the leaders. She was the girl that half her school feared and heck, as much as she hated to admit it, she was the little sister of the extremely charasmatic and manipulative teen heart-throb Dustin Harris and that had to count for something. Surely she had some of his supposed awesomeness since they had the same parents. Maeghan Harris was not the type of girl to sit around sulking because she had no friends. Fuck no. Maeghan Harris was a girl who didn't need other people to be happy. She was perfectly happy to be independent. Hadn't she always told herself that the best thing to be was independent because people always let you down? Exactly. Snap out of it Maeghan. Miss Independent, not Dependent. "Ooooh Miss Independent, Miss Observation, Miss don't need a..Augh I forgot the words. DOO DEE DUMM DUMM DAAA!' Maeghan began singing again, swaying on her desk cheerily, smirking at the teacher as he clearly struggled to try and think of a way to stop her. Ha, good luck sir. One thing Maeghan took pride in the most was the fact that teachers found it nearly impossible to contain her and her rudeness. She was the worst student you could possibly find so really, it was a miracle she'd lasted so long at boarding school.
"Excuse me sir, I need to go to first aid. I'm dying...Of boooredom." Maeghan lifted a hand to her forehead dramatically and leaned back on one arm as she dragged out the last word. This time the teacher didn't even bother speaking. He just shook his head silently and kept his eyes on his boring book. Wondering what would happen if she simply just got up and walked out, Maeghan pursed her lips and began swinging her legs under the desk once more. She'd always preferred sitting on desks as apposed to chairs, partly because she became taller than everyone and therefore immediately superior and partly because it pissed the teachers off. Before Maeghan had the chance to actually get up and walk out of detention however, another girl swung the door open and exchanged a short banter with the supervisor. Aha, clearly she was a regular here. Maybe she'd be halfway interesting at least. As she plopped into the seat next to Maeghan, Maeghan was slightly impressed. Most people didn't dare just sit next to her without asking or glancing at her for permission. Then again that was when she was known throughout the whole school. So far she was a nobody and she knew nobody. Time to change that. Swinging around on her desk sideways to face the small brunette, Maeghan leaned back on two arms and raised an eyebrow. "Come here often?"

CARLY ISABELLE SUTTONVALKYRIE ACADEMY, DETENTION CENTER, AFTERNOON -----why was it the school always had to be such a drag. of course this was probably so because carly was so new to the school. people around here had friends they'd known all of their lives. they had people close to them who they could count on, people who not only mattered to them but also had wealth in the eyes of their friends. carly didn't have that, anywhere for that matter. it wasn't so much because of her slight attitude problem. it couldn't be because she'd picked that up after she'd lost everyone. carly didn't have those lifetime friends because they'd never been her true friends. carly had no one, and needed no one, because she'd been without for so long. she was definitely used to having no one else to rely on aside from her family. if it weren't for the sutton triplet and carly's parents she would probably be one of the loneliest people in the state of california. she only had her family because her friends had "disowned" her so to speak. they hadn't stood by her side, hadn't been the shoulder for her in the toughest time of her life, instead they treated her like a leper. like a disease that had roamed the halls of her old high school, disgraced and completely on her own.
-----that was the reason behind her new attitude in school. once carly realized that she'd really had no one else to rely on without those walls, she grew colder. she didn't bother looking for new friends and was fine to just push everyone away. those who didn't run, she made run. the girl who had once been quiet and submissive in class became unruly and completely intolerable. she'd become a regular in the principle's office, nurse, guidance counselor, and other such people. they spoke to her, tried to negotiate with her, but carly could see through the mask of concern they wore. these people trying to 'help' her were the same people who sat on their front porches and dished gossip about her family. anything she could possibly want to talk about would be nothing more than new gossip for them to spread on to their circle of listeners, a little something fresh for the public to feed off of. carly and her entire family had known all along. they'd warned her against saying a word, even her parents, and carly had done just that. she'd spend hours in offices staring at the back wall and never saying a word. these people didn't want to help her, they wanted to benefit themselves on her behalf, and carly wouldn't give them the pleasure of such a thing.
-----considering that all of that happened while carly was still pregnant said a lot about her. she'd stayed steady and silent, ignored and brushed off anything that people had to say. she'd lived out her last year at that high school almost in complete silence, and she didn't regret a bit of it. now finding out the hard way that the people you thought were your friends really weren't...that was hard and something she'd been completely unprepared for. her friends had only been her friends because she was a sutton, a former presiding family of a town. god how shallow could small town folk be? but she stayed strong, gave birth, adopted out her daughter against her will, and moved on. carly was destined for something bigger, something better, and california could give it to her. she just had to get out of this godforsaken school first. she stalked away from the teacher at the head of the classroom with a smirk on her face. she just loved this playful banter. it amused her to say the least. but after all was said and done she was still left to sit, supposedly quietly, in the back of this room until detention was over. hoorah. she plopped down in the seat next to an unfamiliar blond. oh who are we kidding, everyone in this town was unfamiliar. she raked her fingers across her scalp, giving her curls a bit of a fluff as she heard her speak. come here often? now that made her smirk.
"that's sweet but i'm strickly dickly baby." carly said cocking an eyebrow at the blond. "oh you mean here here." she said feigning ignorance before she let the act just fall away. "yeah they tend to just reserve me a seat in this shithole. apparently we're supposed to be detained. could've fooled me." she looked up to see the presiding teacher watching them talk. she could see his face pale. that's right buddy boy, you're in for some serious hell. carly smiled at him and waggled her fingers, bringing to his attention the fact that she was on to him. she watched him duck back to whatever he was doing before and turned her attention back to this new chick. "i'd ask if you were new around her but a) i don't care, and b) everyone looks unfamiliar to me. but for pity's sake, you new?" her tone was very carefree, to the point of complete disinterest, but in all actuality she did kind of care. if the teacher's reaction was that bad to them simply talking, she had to have caused some stir. maybe this new chick was worth some attention after all.
