FULL NAME: park min-sook ( english order: min-sook park )

PAST EDUCATION: high school in irvine for senior and junior year, sophomore and freshman year at kyunggi high school, elementary in seoul, as well.

YOUR BODY MAY BE GONE ,
CHARACTER APPEARANCE ,
i'm gonna carry you in my head, in my heart, in my soul
ETHNICITY: korean.
HAIR COLOR: brunette.
EYE COLOR: brown.
HEIGHT: 5'8 / 174 cm.
WEIGHT: 51 kg. / 112 lbs.
BODY TYPE: it's easy to see that sookie has a slim figure, probably because she works to get what koreans call a "s-line", which is pretty much a slim waistline.
DISTINGUISHED FEATURES: piercings on her ears and belly button.
PERSONAL STYLE: you'd be amazed at how much sookie's style varies. sometimes it just depends on her mood, but usually it's mainly where she's going that decides it in the end. if sookie's going to be at bad seeds, you can bet she's probably wearing some school girl outfit, racing queen outfits, or something sexy. then again, sometimes she'll show up wearing something incredibly cutesy but still showing skin. you know how some sick boys have their naughty school girl fantasies, and sookie needs money. perfect. out of bad seeds, she's usually wearing something casual and comfortable. hey, maybe she'll put some thought into her outfits, but usually she'll just toss on whatever, though she does enjoy wearing shorts and skirts to show off her long legs. sookie loves feel sexy, but she also doesn't want to look like she's over the top, which is why she doesn't wear incredibly tight clothing just to go grocery shopping.
OTHER: other than the fact that she avoids getting tanned as much as possible? nah, nothing. unless you count the fact that she should be named the queen of poses for all of those innocent expressions that she puts on.
IN YOUR MOUTH, IN YOUR SOUL ,
CHARACTER PERSONALITY ,
the more we move ahead the more we're stuck in rewind
STRENGTHS: independent, teasing, posing, carefree, intelligent (though she doesn't take advantage of that), takes care of herself.
WEAKNESSES: cannot commit, wild, can be irresponsible, getting attention, fun, impulsive, overreacts, doesn't know how to love and stay commited.
LIKES: attention, compliments, fun, sex, drinking, friends, parties, music, photography (preferably with herself as a subject), dancing, fashion, stars (in the sky, not celebrities, though they're alright too), being in control, fast cars (the whole racing idea interests her), stuffed animals (a childhood love that never left), shopping, feeling sexy.
DISLIKES: abandonment (she is absolutely incapable of dealing with that), being alone, her disorder (though she should be lucky she doesn't have a severe case), being told what to do, rules, boredom, insults, feeling empty, being stressed, work that involves no enjoyment, phases when she feels depressed, being ignored, and especially being irrelevant.
FLAWS: although sookie's borderline personality disorder isn't as bad as it could be, it does affect her as a person. because of it, sookie can be quite impulsive, and acts without thinking, mostly when it comes to sex and money. just knowing that would make you think she was a materialistic slut, and though she does seem like one at times, she's not that bad. in addition, she can overreact sometimes and get angry over things that don't mean shit. because of her history and disorder, she also has trouble dealing with abandonment or even imagining it, since being left alone is her worst fear. since she doesn't want to be alone, sookie obviously wants attention, which can be bad in the sense that she can get wild and careless, but hey, that's why she's a coyote. , sometimes, she may drink too much, but sookie has learned her limit when it comes to alchol. her days of depression and feel suicidal has long past, fortunately. the fact that sookie's a coyote shows that she's quite the wild one, though she's capable of acting somewhat normal in public. if you meet her in any average place, she'll seem like any other girl, dressed normally with manners, mostly because she had been taught that as a child, but once she enters bad seeds or goes somewhere with a bad environment (oh, like i don't know. a party with tons of illegal drinking going on, perhaps?), then she'll definitely not hold back. after all, sookie's the kind of girl that likes having fun.
HABITS: when people asks her, "what's wrong?" and she's feeling depressed, sookie will just say she's tired. as pleasurable as sex may be, sookie is often more of a tease, just because it's fun to her. sorry boys and girls, she's hard to attain, though a few kisses and makeout sessions aren't completely out of your reach. when she's bored, she'll involuntarily pout or make some sort of bubble face. sookie also can get nosy due to the fact that she hates being left out.
SECRETS: the fact that sookie has borderline personality disorder is something that even she, herself, doesn't know. it's not a bad case, but yes, she's afraid of abandonment, has encountered depression in her life, get frustrated and stressed out easily, can overreact (her anger is a strange thing, but has gotten better), doesn't know exactly what she wants to do with her life, and is impulsive. thouse are all qualities of borderline personality disorder, but it's not as severe, so sookie never noticed. it seemed normal to her. she also used to be suicidal due to her depression, but no one knew. as i mentioned previously, she doesn't know what to do with her life exactly, and has said she'd be satisfied with anything music related, but truthfully, she has dreams of being a model, or a racing queen, but doesn't see it as a serious possibility. deep down inside somewhere, she also misses her father, but would never let anyone know since he had abandoned her and she hates him at the same time.
BEST MEMORY: "my best memory... huh, i guess my life is quite shitty since nothing specific comes to mind. okay, how about when i moved to this city junior year? it sucked being in an entirely different country and starting over, but luckily my mom taught me english as i child. i hated this place, i really did. i'm not going to say all of my hatred is gone, but it's been, for the most part, replaced with a new and better memories. however, one thing that was positive about moving here would have to be the love my mom showed to me. she knew the transition was big and she made sure i was comfortable. i think those few months when we moved to valkyrie were the only times i truly felt loved by my mom. sadly, those times passed a while ago, but hey. better than nothing, right?"
WORST MEMORY: "easy. it's not very clear, since it happened so fast and i was only half awake, but my worst memory would be when my dad left. i should have seen it coming, with all the late night arguments and nights when he didn't even come home. i should have prepared myself, because when i was twelve, it happened. after breaking a few things here and there, my dad left our family. my mom and i meant nothing to him, apparently. i had just wandered out of bed after hearing shattered glass and saw him slamming the door. what happened didn't sink in until the next few days, and i pretty much grew suicidal after that. my mom had started abusing alcohol use, and it affected me. i started becoming less social and hated my life with each day. i never did attempt to kill myself, because fortunately, my mom cleaned up, and actually showed me some love, and we were the ones to leave seoul, the city that held memories we both wanted to forget."
OVERALL PERSONALITY: sookie's personality had been influenced by a disorder she didn't even know she had. with this disorder, she has many traits, but fortunately, she's able to go on with her life without the knowledge of having it because one, she was just recently even old enough to be diagnosed with it, and secondly, it's not a severe case. in the past, sookie had considered committing suicide, but thankfully, her life started getting better before she had taken any action. because of that whole phase in her life, she has grown more optimistic, and though she may not find the bright side in every thing and isn't the happiest girl on earth, she's perfectly content with her lfie as it is, along with how she looks. fortunately, she's grown to be comfortable under her own skin and yes, she may flaunt that a little too much, but can you really blame her for loving herself? sookie's only making sure that as far as her confidence and pride goes, she just doesn't want to turn into the kind of person that thinks they're better than everyone else. those people are called bitches.
this girl loves having fun, and her definition of fun is just staying entertained. that could be laughing with her friends, going to an amusement park, or partying it up. she's the kind of girl that needs excitement in her life, and cannot deal with boredom. she absolutely loathes boredom and being alone, because it just leads her to feeling empty inside, which eventually takes her to memories of when her father left, which she can seem to forget. sookie has trouble dealing with abandonment, even if it's just in her head, but she's always known that it was because of her father. to her, fun is dancing around and lots of different things going on. multi-tasking. lots of excitement. that may have something to do with the fact that she loves teasing boys (and girls for that matter). it's fun being chased and getting attention. oh yes, attention. something she craves. when your father left your family, your mother never really cared, and you had no friends, you tended to love attention when you were able to obtain it, and that was basically sookie's situation. sex is nice, but if you give in too easily, that would make you a slut in most people's minds and you'd be yesterday's news. you keep people chasing you and well, you've got their attention for a while.
it can work out well sometimes, and bad other times, but sookie is quite impulsive. she often acts without thinking which can get her into trouble, but keeps her from lying to people quite a lot. she tries not to be a bitch, but if you get in her face, she won't exactly hold back, but she'll definitely try to keep her poise as she tells you to fuck off. then most likely, sookie will go home, scream into a pillow, and then carry on with her life. simple enough, don't you think? she's pretty good with first impressions as long as its not involved with nightlife, like meeting her at a club or bar. outside of that scene, she seems normal for the most part and can pass for a nice young lady, until you meet her of course. unfortunately, she can also get a bit materialistic at times, which doesn't work well with her shak life, but she'll take what she can get.
apart of south korea remains in her, considering how she had lived there for a lot of her life before coming to the united states. considering how manners are more important there then here. because of this, sookie has grown rebellious due to have so many rules in her life, but those boundaries are pretty much set in stone inside of her due to hearing them often. seeing as things that would be more than appropriate in the united states is not even allowed to be seen by koreans under seventeen, their limits of sexuality differ immensely, and of course, that just makes sookie want to take advantage of what she has now. she has grown bicurious, and would call it bisexuality if she had been able to try it out. also due to these limits, she's grown so used to doing cute poses, so you'll often see pictures of her with various expressions. still, her time in california has influenced her well, and there's no denying her promiscuous behavior.
AND WE'LL BOTH GROW OLD ,
CHARACTER HISTORY ,
well i don't know, i don't know, i don't know, i hope so
HOMETOWN: seoul, south korea.
PARENTS: park chin-mae, 49, accountant (father; left and never came back) and park eun-hee, 45, chef (mother) .
SIBLINGS: none that she's aware of.
OTHER: no one worth mentioning.
LIVING SITUATION: shaks.
HISTORY: let's try not to waste anytime and get straight to the point, yes? while chin-mae lived his entire life in south korea, eun-hee was born there, and moved to the united states later in her life. after growing up in the u.s. and finishing college and gaining much experience in culinary art, eun-hee figured it was time for a vacation, perhaps back to the place where she was born. yup, seoul, south korea. with family in south korea, eun-hee didn't really limit the time she was going to stay there; it could have been a week or a few months for all she knew. what eun-hee hadn't expected was to fall in love with chin-mae. they had met at a karaoke bar and ended up having a lot of fun singing ridiculously with each other, but what seem like the start of the friendship turned into so much more. soon enough, they were walking around the park together and eventually, eun-hee didn't feel like leaving. she had found the one and was so sure of it, and chin-mae wasn't going to disagree. what was a vacation turned into just moving her former life to south korea to be with him, along with marriage, and soon enough a little girl being born.
the first nine years of min sook's life was relatively normal. her unexplained anger over the smallest things just made her seemed like a child who got angry easily. it doesn't get any simpler than that. min sook had friends and a life filled with toys, rules, fun, schooling, and endless amounts of free time. everything wasn't perfect, considering how her parents always had to work. they didn't exactly have the highest paying jobs, so they had to work overtime and hard. chin-mae was an accountant in a big office building, so he didn't exactly stand out and get bonuses all the time. eun-hee was a restaurant owner, and considering how it was a self-employed kind of thing, she didn't give herself breaks and vacations, leaving a little min-sook often left at home with her grandmother and relatives. not that she complained. as much as she loved her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles tended to spoil her more than she should have been. eventually, however, min-sook's life started going downhill. arguments, shouting, screaming, and yelling were getting more often in the household, along with an increasing number of days when her dad didn't come home. you would think things would become clear to her if this happened consistantly, but min-sook didn't expect a thing. for a year, it went on, and then it started to stop for another year, but then again, it started. it was obvious what her father was doing, yet min-sook could understand why her mom stayed with him; she didn't want to never see her father again either.
to this day, however, min sook still wished that she had prepared herself for what the future had obviously prepared for her mother and her. when min sook was twelve, she had woken up to another seemingly normal argument, but the moment she heard her mom in tears and glass on the ground, she got off her bed and went to see what was going on. with her eyes just slightly peeking out into the living room, she saw her father shutting the door with what seemed to be a few suitcases in his hands. what occurred hadn't sunken in until the next few days, probably starting when her mother started drinking. the woman was a mess, and the restaurant she owned was just barely surviving. fortunately, min-sook didn't have to be entirely on her own when it came to helping out her mom, since she had relatives, but when it came to everything else, she was basically alone. when her dad left and her mom started becoming a mess, min sook was obviously influenced by it all.
how it all happened so fast? min-sook couldn't even explain it if you asked her, but she could say that it was a chain reaction. her father left, which made her mother alcoholic, which led to min-sook being overwhelmed with taking care of everything on her own. that led to stress that turned into depression and getting frustrated easily, not to mention not getting any attention, which just made min-sook want to hide even more in a corner. it felt like no one cared and the world was on her shoulders. was everything as bad as it was? yes and no. her mother was alcoholic, but there were other people to help her with her mother. that one thing, however, seemed to impact her life immensely, for min-sook had become suicidal. her mother wasn't there for her, her father abandoned her, the rest of her relatives were too worried about her mother, and she had pushed any potential friends away. way to go.
as her depression and frustration got worse, unknown to min-sook, her mother was recovering. min-sook had become a bookworm that didn't have any friends except one, which eventually moved away and made her more alone. when she was so sure that she was going kill herself, min-sook's mother had walked into her room and given her a hug, and apologized for being such a crappy mother. that was probably the first time she actually noticed her mother's gradual recovery, and surprisingly enough, it gave her hope. if her mom could recover after having her heart stomped on and then being drowned in alcohol, then maybe min sook could too. she still hated her life, but had a slightly more positive outlook, and then they both agreed (it took lots of persuasion to get min-sook's cooperation) to move to the united states, where min-sook's mother had been raised. fortunately, much like how many people in the united states grew up learning two languages, min-sook had learned english while being raised in south korea. because of her mother, she didn't have to learn last minute and could speak english versus engrish.
well, let's just say that moving to california tainted min-sook incredibly. once she gained her citizenship, the bookworm was determined to start over. she wanted to be more social, more known. it was in irvine, junior year, that min-sook developed the nickname, "sookie", after people looked at her oddly when they knew her true name. it was quite an adjustment moving from one country to another, but after attending a few parties and meeting people here and there, sookie had grown used to valkyrie. her life was different now, but it was starting to settle down, and her mother seemed to be as well, since hey - she stopped caring again. woot. sookie had gotten sucked into a world of underage drinking, parties, hookups, and just lots of trouble. unline in south korea, people seemed to stop respecting their elders, and although sookie didn't entirely take advantage of that, she had turned quite rebellious due to being tired of years of being told what to do and not being able to say anything because you were younger. she craved attention, and fortunately, she got it. rarely was she alone, mostly because she didn't allow it, and even though she didn't realize it, she couldn't stand being alone because of her father's abandonment and mother's alcoholic phase.
the minute sookie turned eighteen and graduated high school, she was pretty much already packed and ready to get out. the last thing she wanted to do was continue living with her mother, a woman who barely gave her any attention but apparently started to care whenever sookie wanted to do something fun. "don't wear that, it's too revealing." no shit. she loved feeling sexy. "focus on your studies so you can become a doctor." who said i ever wanted to be a doctor? "i hope you're not planning to go out with that boy." why the hell should it matter to you? some things she said to her mother, some she didn't due to respect, but sookie was incredibly ready to go out on her own. her mother gave her some money to go out on her own and start with, and the rest was pretty much up to sookie. it was a real wonder why she chose valkyrie, california of all places, but it may have had to do with the fact that she had heard of a hot new hang out called bad seeds, and let's just say sookie was quite interested. she moved to the shaks, snagged a job, but also another one at [c]ompact [d]isk, considering how she still needed money for other things in her life. she wanted fun in her life, but still needed something to keep her from getting bored, but she needed money to really do anything; two jobs, one which she both loved? yup, it would definitely work.
even with a new life much different and far from her previous one, sookie is still park min-sook. she may be more provocative now, but cannot resist the urge to act cute versus just straight out sexy. she may be rebellious, but still has the respect for her elders inside somewhere. she's the same girl with a twist. valkyrie, say hello to sookie.
