Slavery.
Today, the lower and middle-class are subjected to slavery, sold on the basis of intelligence, beauty, strength, and skills. They are no longer educated, unless tutored by a member of the Elite. They are no longer treated as fellow Members of the Human race. They are at the feet of the Upper-class, the ones who had made enough money during the Great Depression when Slavery first began, and the Upper-class can utilize their individual talents however they please. Slaves are branded and chipped, marked with a bar-code on the inside of their right wrist - this is how everyone knows who is a Slave or not. No Slave has ever become an Elite and the system is built so they never get close.
Donovan Inc.During the Great Depression of 30's a Company was founded on the premise of ending the severe economic downturn plaguing the world. This Company was funded by a prominent family who chose to go into business, despite that business crumbling down around them. They had the Government in their pockets - and to this day they still do, that's why Slavery started and is still ongoing. At first they would put people to work for other people, all of this under the guise of creating jobs. It was all such a wonderful thing. It was such a wonderful pile of complete bullshit. The Company had bought the rights to those people's lives when they employed them - it was all in the contract. All those people were now Slaves, and money was so tight that they actually did not mind being considered lower than dirt - they had a place to stay...food to eat, it was all they needed at the time.
Donovan Inc is still around today, and is the primary dealer in the Slave Trade. They have documents on every Slave bought and on the Market. They're filthy rich and aren't afraid to show it - their customers don't care - they're filthy rich too.
Today...
Most people have become incredibly numb to the concept of Slavery; however, there are a few people who have opened their eyes to the cruelty going on around them. And have rejected the title of Master and have taken up the fight against it and Donovan Inc. They are small, and Donovan Inc is much larger than they - so....they aren't too scared of these radicals. But the question is, are you going to side with the Corporate Heavy-Weights? Or are you going to fight for the Little Guy? Are you a little guy? Who knows, it's your decision to make.
