so do we have any theatre geeks around? yes? well i'm sure you've heard of bridgette halliwell then. bridgette is twenty two and up until a few years ago she was broadway's big star. she had all the major leads and she was headed for big things if her dad who is her manager got his way. she was even considering to take on a movie musical soon. unfortunately life doesn't always go the way you want it. when bridgette was about fifteen she began to rebel against her father and started to go out partying, skipping rehearsals etc. this lead to her drinking and smoking a lot and eventually she developed quite a cough from smoking. then came the hoarse voice which only got worse. eventually she went to the doctors and after several tests and exams she was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. she's had surgery and been doing chemotherapy for about two years now and she's a far cry from the shining star she was before. she was also diagnosed with depression a few months ago so things aren't looking great. to top it all off, she recently stopped responding to the chemotherapy much too early so she's been transferred from the new york hospital to valkyrie hospital where they have the best doctors and specialists to try and find out what's wrong.

so i need some good plots for bridgette. she's going to be a bit of a challenge for me since she doesn't actually speak at all but she can still communicate. she'll be spending most of her time at the hospital for now since she needs to be monitered all the time but she can go out obviously. she definitely needs to make some friends to keep her company since she'll be insanely lonely.and that is my very lame and unhelpful summary but i'm super eager to get her off and running so come on people, give me some juicy plots that only us v-siders can create and pull off xD

I remember we've been talking about doing some Bridgette/ WIll plotting and how they had at one time been co-stars on broadway and how she's resentful because her career's gone down while his has sky rocketed really. But yes we definitely need to plot them. How did they get along back when they were co-stars. I could totally have seen them as the type to butt heads but have a strange fuzzy chemistry/ sexual tension going which worked well for the show or something. I don't know. But they need to meet up again. Maybe when she hears they're filming his movie close-by out of curiosity she goes to the set or something? Or he hears she's in town and goes and visits?

Another person I can think of plotting, of some kind is her and May. May's my girl who's just all about the musicals and everything and I could see her as being such a huge fan of hers. Like has all the soundtracks to the shows she did and all of this and that she just loves her so much (if she's at the hospital a lot maybe she meets Sarai and sarai knowing May's a fan tells her she's there) and maybe Bridgette is annoyed by May at first and kind of mean and then she finds out somehow about her mom and that means if May had her soundtracks it meant the girl had risked a lot in order to have them and feeling guilty she kind of befriends her fan. Maybe eventually helping May to get better and move forward or something?

well noooow. about damn time xD you and me, aussie-head, we need to finish so many characters<3 oh well. we're epic anyway.

so, i reread what we talked about when you first posted info, and it was quite epic, if i must say. basically, it was bee(which is what cas calls her :]) and cassidy. they were on the scene together a few years back. met on the party circuit, i believe. which is good, because that's just when cas was getting serious about being a professional party girl. then they became super close, stumbling out of magazine parties or something at four in the morning. bad influences on one another. but then bridgette was diagnosed with cancer, and she just cut cassidy out of her life, i think. or, cas was shoved into rehab and did the same thing. i forget which came first xD i think the cancer diagnosis? 'cause cas has only been in and out of rehab for just over a year. but that's up to you. no returned phone calls, either way. poor girls. so i assume that cas is a bit upset over that. she's never had many friends, and i say that she considered bridgette one of her real ones. they were in the same sort of spotlight, partied the same, and could be insecure and sad together. she likes friends like that. either way, that was their past. okay so, onto the now. the first thing cas does is visit her in the hospital. that's what i decided. even if it's just to be annoyed and a bitch, she'll be doing it. they have too much history to ignore. although, i think after awhile, she might let all of that go in sight of, y'know, the bigger picture here. once someone gets her caught up to speed, maybe they reconnect a bit? she knows what it's like having people poking you for psychological issues, anyway. i'm trying to make this interesting, but i'm failing xD you should tell me a bit more about her, and her views on everything, so we can construct something especially epic. i have a few ideas, though ;]

second! well, dude, we have to plot her and hayden. it would be kind of awkward, with the age difference and opposite spectrum kind of life, but still xD their pics are too cute to ignore. they got more recently<3 but hey, that's okay. i vaguely remember us saying that hayden was at the hospital doing...something, and stumbles into bridgette's room. research, let's say xD and she kind of goes in and starts filming her without saying anything. that's her mo, after all. anyway, hayden would definitely find bridgette facinating. she follows all sorts of media, so maybe she kind of knew who she was? watched a bunch of her shows on youtube or something. sort of like, 'hot damn, you made it!' but in a cooler, more-hayden way. she likes to talk a lot, if that helps any xD i can kind of see hayden going to visit her like, everyday after school or something. idk, maybe she bounces in, super excited about...something, shared but sees bridgette isn't? that didn't make sense. she'd sit beside her and talk all the time, about everything. maybe she gets news about her cancer, or isn't into broadwayness anymore. i have no idea xD this just really randomly popped in my head and sounds really effin' lame, but we like to expand. -headdesk-

ahhhh i know, me too xD i feel like it's been ages since i came up with her. i posted info on her nearly a year ago haha. anywayyyy ah yes indeed we're plotting bridgette and will definitely. i love the idea of them having that awesome chemistry/sexual tension on stage and maybe it even kind of leaked off stage as well a little? and definitely butted heads. i can see that for sure xD bridgette would be all rachel berry going 'i've been doing this since i was in pre-school!' any time will made any sort of mistake haha. anyway now that he's a huge movie star and she's in hospital without a voice she's going to be quite bitter about that. ooh as for them meeting again, i can see her popping by the movie set but determined not to actually greet him since perhaps he doesn't know about the cancer. or maybe he hears she's in the hospital and thinks it's probably just exhaustion or something and he's all surprised when she can't talk at all. she's definitely not going to be very nice to start with.

aaaand may. speaking of rachel berry, here's her pb hehe. so aw i like the idea of the big fan coming to visit her and what not. everyone has kind of forgotten about bridgette now since it's been like two years since she really performed. bridgette will be spending the majority of her time at the hospital so i can see her bumping into sarai somehow and then sarai can go tell may and may is like the first person besides her dad to visit her but bridgette would be too cranky to be nice at the start. she's quite selfish so she'd be a bit rude. but yeah, once she finds out about what may went through and how much she risked, she'd definitely tone it down. she'll also probably be extremely grateful to have a fan right now since she feels kind of alone and isolated. and since may is all bright and living life to the full she'd definitely bring a bit of spark back to bridgette. ok so hopefully there's something useful in that mess xD

cassidy and bridgette ftw first of all xD i love how she's already got a nickname. now bridgette needs one for cassidy. cass. that was easy. i'll think of something funkier later maybe. anyway so yepp i love these two meeting at several parties and just falling into that awesome friendship. getting smaashed together=good times? xD yeaah the cancer comes first i do believe. bridgette is kind of wisked away into treatments so no time to worry about contacting friends and maybe she's even a little annoyed at cass for influencing her to drink and smoke haha. she'll blame anyone. but yeah, i'd say bridgette would consider cass to be a real friend too. she didn't have many because she's always working so having cassidy want to still hang with her would definitely make bridgette warm to her. anyway, so ahh cassidy totally needs to barge into bridgette's hospital room and be all 'bitch thanks for calling.' or something epic xD like maybe she knows about the cancer but didn't hear that bridgette can't talk because no one really knows about that. and bridgette can just be miming everything or writing her words down angrily haha. she'll get her story across somehow and then they reconnect. but oooh you have ideas? you should spill these ideasss :)

HAYDEN. i'm actually super excited for hayden and bridgette. i don't know why since we haven't really planned anything haha. their photos are just too cute. ooh new photos? show mee (: now. plotting. so yes, i think we said hayden is at the hospital for whatever reason and then she can wander around and bridgette is in her room doing something and hayden just sneaks in haha. like with may, bridgette would be super excited that someone is paying attention to her though. especially if hayden already knows who she is and she's all 'well you look a bit different to how you do on stage' or whatever. i actually really like the idea of hayden coming in heaps like after school and kind of ending up with this weird friendship. obviously hayden will do most of the talking there haha xD and she can like film bridgette doing whatever bridgette does. she'd definitely help bridgette light up and bridgette can sit there listening to hayden rant about everything and attempting to give her some unhelpful advice. but yeah. these two are going to be epic once we work out an actual plot instead of me rambling hehe <3

i love b. snow. she's so pretty. and i lovelove the sound of bridgette. she's so cool and different, and definitely a challenge to play, but i know you can do it! let's see. piper's going to be volunteering at the hospital a lot and i can see them being friends. she's a music freak too, though she doesn't sing, she's a good dancer and loves music. i can see them hitting it off.

i want to get raoul involved in more plots, and he'll be in the hospital soon. idk for how long, it's nothing major but if you're up for it, maybe he just wanders into her room. or something xD

wyatt will be hanging out in the hospital soon for his support group. he's not that much older than her. if we can find a way for them to meet and him finding out she really can't talk, i can see him going to her all the time just to talk about his tour in iraq because he'd know she couldn't do the normal 'aww, that's terrible' or 'i can't believe you went through that' sort of thing. it's not a mean way type of deal, just a way for him to get some things off his chest. and then they can form some weird friendship.

a lot of my high schoolers probably wouldn't find themselves in a hospital, and not so much the rest of my adults either. i probably failed at this, and i'm sorry xD but that is what i got.

GEORGIEEEE. <3 we most definitely have to get back into plotting together.

brittany snow is love, first off. i saw her on an episode of law and order a while ago, she did really well. anyhow. seeing as she's a theater girl, the first thing that comes to mind for her is something with andreo. he's a spaniard guy i'm planning on making, shia labeouf is his face. i will get around to posting info on him eventually. probably. but anyway, he's really charismatic and he is also a real theater geek. he performed tons at a local theater back in spain, mostly in shakespeare plays. so he and bridgette would definitely be able to bond over that. i can see them meeting when he spots on the street sometime when she's out and approaches her so that he can hit on her. he'd probably ask her out for a romantic dinner at la fleur or something (even if she's a bit older than him, heh), and i think she should turn him down, because that would make him want to make it a project to seduce her. so maybe they hang out more and more and andreo puts the moves on her, but then he finds out about the cancer thing and immediately stops? then they could just kind of become regular friends, though he would probably start genuinely crushing on her soon afterwards. i know this probably sounds really rambling, but i'm just typing out my brain vomit.

other than that... i have a possible upcoming character, genevieve, who will probably be spending time in the hospital. i have info on her up in my upcoming characters thread. she's a recovering anorexic and will be going to a support group, so she and bridgette could meet through her being at the hospital for that. i don't know that they'd have much in common, but i could possibly see them becoming friends. it'd be one of the very few instances for genevieve where she's just kind of being herself and not worrying about anything else in a friendship.

Georgie giiiirrrrllll! We must plot. Yes. And who better than Bridge and Audrey? I know they have wildly different personalities but Audrey also has cancer and she's going to be at the hospital a lot and I say she and Bridgette be friends. Audrey knows sign language so they can talk and even makes jokes and such. I think they would be good friends especially when Audrey's condition worsens and she's going to stay at the hospital for prolonged periods of time.

Who else? Allegra might come into the oncology ward time and again, maybe she will get to know Bridge? but mind you, she's very socially inept and will be frighteningly formal with her unless something happens. I think she and charlotte should know each other, both being fairly successful in entertaininment. I can so see Charlotte admiring her and coming in with Bridge's favourite flowers or chocolate because that is just how she is. I think Charlotte and Bridgette should have known each other before Bridge got the cancer, so they could be close and such. I assume most people on broadway sort of stopped being in touch with her, so I think that's why she and Charlotte would be so epic because Char can't possibly do that to anyone.

ahh thankyou haha. i hope you're right. i've never played a character with a serious illness much less one who can't talk but we'll hope for the best! anyway ahh i'm glad you have some people around the hospital. i love the idea of piper and bridgette getting to know each other. bridgette would adore being able to talk to someone else about music and performing arts. ooh i don't know much about raoul but i checked out his app. how does he end up in hospital? but woo yes he should just wander in if the door is open and ends up coming in more regularly somehow. i do believe they can bond quite nicely over the fact that they both have dads who don't know the meaning of praise hehe.

aaaand wyatt. well if he's at the hospital regularly, i'm sure he'd bump into bridgette eventually. she's not really the type to stay in her room 24/7 so it shouldn't be too hard for them to bump into each other. maybe he could ask her for directions or something random and she just stares at him like 'oh crap' and then she has to try and sign that she can't speak. oh yeah he can come and vent to her and she just sits and listens. perfect! and of course she'd be thinking something along the lines of those things but hello she's pretty selfish herself too so she'd be all 'well i have cancer. we've both gone through hell.' once she figures out a way to communicate with him. so yes. i agree they should have that kind of weird friendship. whenever he needs to rant about stuff he can just come to her and she just listens. that's all she can really do these days.

ahhh it's been ages since someone called me georgie girl xD anyway irrelevant. so EEEE audrey. i've wanted to plot with her for ages but it's never been the right time but ahoy if this isn't then i don't know what is hehe. so they're extremely different indeed but having cancer is something they can defintiely bond quite nicely over. and she knows sign language? oh bridgette is going to love her so much. finally someone she doesn't have to struggle to communicate with properly. and bridgette has had cancer for a while now so she can kind of help audrey get through it since she's done pretty much every kind of treatment so she knows what she's talking about hehe. i think it'll be nice for them to both have someone who understands and isn't all 'oh i'm so sorry to hear you have cancer' etc. they actually get what it's like.

ooh bridgette sounds amazing. definitely a unique plot you've got going here. i admire it. i took on a character in a wheelchair once and it was damn tough but i'm sure you'll do fabulously.

first and foremost she must plot with sarai. i think she's one of the perfect people to be helping with her care and such. sarai is big in the pediatrics wing so she's used to seeing children and such with cancer and deadly illnesses and all that. though it's funny that bridgette is two years older than her, in vside terms, sarai would probably still be really good for her. she wouldn't necessarily treat her like a patient. she'd treat her like a human being. maybe she'd invite her to come hang out with the kids just to play and such? idk. maybe it would be good for her to see kids younger than her facing her same demons and being stronger for their family than they are for themselves? just putting it out there.

hmm...maggie wouldn't be caught dead at the hospital. too many dying people and too many cops. j.r. wouldn't either. carly's got no reason to be there but maybe she runs into her outside of the hospital. she'd be slightly weirded out by the "can't talk" thing but she'll get over it. graham is just as quiet so i could see them maybe getting along? he definitely wouldn't talk much so maybe she kind of urges him to talk because it pisses her off that he's got the gift of speech and won't freaking use it xD. hmm, i could see wes trying to cheer her up. dunno if it would work but he'd definitely try.
