NINA SURESH - - - - -YOU'RE THE FIRST TO ARRIVE, THE FIRST TO TAKE A DRINK THE FIRST TO HIT THE SCENE YOU MAKE all the guys stumble into walls- - - - - As of right now, Timothy Suresh was extremely pissed at his younger cousin. Nina had been in the bathroom for nearly three hours now and Timothy really needed to pee. Badly. So why didn't he use another bathroom? This was a Valks estate after all and like all other estates there were several bathrooms located all around the large mansion but Alex was currently in one, the others were too far away and he really couldn't be stuffed walking too far when there was a perfectly fine bathroom down the hall from him. Unfortunately Nina had gone in three hours ago and was yet to emerge. After the first hour, Tim began knocking every fifteen minutes, after the second hour he got worried and threatened to break the door down and by now he was ready to kick the door open and throw a bucket of water on Nina just to piss her off. The idea had been extremely entertaining until Carlito pointed out that Nina would then be in the bathroom for another three hours to redo her makeup. Stupid Carlito. Always had to ruin Tim's fun. Glancing at his watch, Tim sighed and banged on the door again and wincing as Nina responded to the sound in that high pitched, slightly bitchy tone that was permanently in her voice now. All Bailey's fault no doubt. Stupid Bailey.
"I'M NEARLY FUCKING DONE. GOD!" The petite brunette screamed through the bathroom door, slamming her eyeshadow brush on the counter as the sound of Tim knocking echoed in the room. "God!! Patience much?" She huffed to herself, picking the brush up again and sweeping it over her left eyelid quickly. So what exactly had she been doing in the bathroom? Well, good question. The same question thousands of men all around the world ask themselves about their girlfriends, sisters and wives every day. The answer? Attempting the impossible: perfection. Nina had applied and re-applied her makeup about seven times so far today and restyled her hair more times than she wanted to think about but nothing looked 'right'. Perfection was impossible but Nina still seemed determined to obtain it. It seemed like perfection was every girl's goal these days. You just had to get the perfect dress and you needed that perfect hairstyle and that perfect makeup look before you could be seen by anyone. You had to look perfect in front of everyone and any sign of weakness or anything less than perfection was strictly forbidden. Why was that? Men of course. It was all to impress men and make them fall in love with the said girl.
It was quite sad really. So many girls striving to be perfect to impress guys when the truth was that all the make-up and fancy clothes meant nothing to the man who really loved you. If a guy really liked you, he wouldn't care if you forgot to put make-up on or if you answered the door in your trackpants. That was what most guys and magazines claimed at least. But try telling Nina that. Like many other girls before her, this poor little brunette had the strange idea in her head that she had to constantly look all dolled up for her boyfriend. This would have been quite fine if her boyfriend didn't live next door. Don't get her wrong, knowing that Jules was only a two second walk from her house was great but it did mean that he could stop by any time without warning so Nina had to look her best at all times. For the past few weeks since she'd started seeing Jules, Nina had made sure she looked hot even when she was leaving her bedroom to get breakfast. It was kind of pointless though. It wasn't as if Jules was going to come around randomly because everyone else would be no one else knew about Nina and Jules. Nina didn't really like having a secret relationship. She was the type of girl who swooned and sighed over her gorgeous boyfriend to all her friends, not the type who sneaked around in weird cafes and back-streets. So why had she been doing just that for the past few weeks? Well thats what happened when you made a new friend and then fell for that new friend's step-brother. After hearing Bailey constantly complaining about Jules, Nina decided it would be best if they kept their relationship to themselves. She and Bailey had only just recently become close in the past few months and she didn't want Bailey getting mad at her. Luckily Jules was okay with that. Unluckily, that meant that Nina didn't get to spend her big day with Jules.
Her big day being her eighteenth birthday of course. This explains her three hours in the bathroom now, doesn't it? It was her right as a newly eighteen year-old to go and party it up although technically it wasn't that big of a deal. She still couldn't drink legally but that wasn't going to stop her. Today was all about Nina and making sure she made it a night to remember. Her plan for the big night? Clubbing it up at Bare with Shay and Bailey. They were pretty much Nina's best friends right now. She knew that Bailey had her trio thing going on but things had been weird between those girls, probably one of the reasons she'd begun hanging out with Nina more. Honestly though, as much as Nina loved having Bailey as one of her best friends, she truly did hope Bailey would patch things up with her other friends. Anne and Daphne were all good friends of Nina's as well and she wanted them to all be happy. They'd sort it out eventually, she was sure of it. For now though, Bailey was hanging out with Nina and most oddly, Nina's cousin Timothy. Whatever. He wasn't invited tonight. As Nina had told Shay and Bailey, "Tonight is about me and my girls. No boys allowed." Nina hadn't told him of her plans to go out getting drunk with her friends tonight. She just told him she was going out for dinner with her family, which she had, and then catching up with Bailey and Shay. What they did when they 'caught up' was none of his business. Knowing Jules, he'd accuse her of wanting to go and flirt with all the guys in the bar which so wasn't true. It wasn't Nina's fault if cute boys happened to approach her when she went out.
"NINA, GODDAMMIT, IF YOU DON'T GET OUT NOW I SWEAR I'M CALLING AUNTY MEL!"
There it was. The ultimate threat. Nina jumped as she heard Tim's final, fed up to his eardrums, voice shouting through the door. "FINE!" she screamed back, spraying a final layer of hair-spray around her head and grabbing her lipstick from the bench before marching to the bathroom door, unlocking it and shoving Timothy as he pushed passed her. He could be so evil sometimes. He knew her mother would never let her leave the house looking like she did right now which was why she had to sneak out quietly. If Tim alerted Mrs Suresh, Nina's entire night would be ruined. Half an hour later, Nina finally escaped the Suresh estate and drove down to Bare Nightclub which looked pretty busy already. Parking her car, Nina did a last minute check of her appearance before strutting into the club, her high heels clicking against the concrete pavement. She prayed that she wouldn't be the first of her girls to arrive but as she sauntered into the club, it seemed like she was. She couldn't see Bailey and Shay anywhere yet but it was pretty crowded tonight and Nina was short so she couldn't exactly see a lot of people. She began maneuvering her way through the crowds of people, still failing to find her friends. In the end she pushed her way back to the entrance and watched people come in, keeping an eye out for a familiar face.

BAILEY MITCHELL - - - - - - - IT’S SAD BUT IT’S TRUE, HOW SOCIETY SAYS HER LIFE IS ALREADY OVER. THERES NOTHING TO DO AND THERES NOTHING TO SAY. TIL THE MAN OF HER DREAMS COMES ALONG picks her up, and puts her over his shoulder- - - - - - - ’Sweat, baby sweat, baby sex is a Texas job…’ Hot curling iron in her hand, Bailey stared down at her blackberry which sat on the marble vanity of her bathroom a repulsed look crossing her face as she read the name that flashed up on the screen. Crinkling her freckled nose the brunette seventeen year old answered the phone, her tone bored but with a scathing undertone ”Jules, what the fuck do you want – and why the hell did you change my ringtone to that repulsive song?” a smug laugh sounded from the other end of the line and Bailey just knew her idiotic step brother would have that smirk on his face. ”You don’t like it? It’s a special one just so you know when I’m calling you”
Bailey scoffed, placing the curling iron on the vanity and turning it off. She was pretty much ready, well except for the smoking hot outfit she was yet to put on, if there was one tip the young teen lived by it was always have your hair and make up done before putting on a gorgeous outfit, it will make you feel a million times better when you first look at yourself in the mirror. It seemed shallow but it worked. ”As I asked before, what do you want?” Bailey asked, this time snapping down the phone at her stepbrother as she walked out of her bathroom, tightening her silk dressing gown around her as she walked into her bedroom, breathing out a sigh of relief when the call disconnected, she really didn’t want to deal with Jules and his games right now. ”Just wanted to see where you were” Wait, Jules had hung up the phone, her head snapping up Bailey grimaced as she spotted him sitting on the edge of her bed ”But I found you, so all is well except…where are you of to tonight?” he looked absolutely baffled to see Bailey with her hair and make up done, not that he wasn’t used to seeing her getting ready to go out. Walking past her bed, Bailey walked to the opposite side of her room and into the walk in wardrobe, so she could change with Jule’s watchful eyes on her ugh he was such a creep. ”If you must know…” Bailey called through the wardrobe doors as she slipped into her dress ”…It’s Nina’s birthday tonight, so we are going out to celebrate the big one, eight with her at Bare” finishing, Bailey pulled on the last of jewellery and her leather jacket, grabbing her Alexander McQueen heels she slipped back into her bedroom, watching Jules as he sat still on the edge of her bed, his arms folded chewing on his bottom lip – he was thinking and that was never a good thing. Sitting beside him on her bed, Bailey leant down to pull on her heels watching Jules with an amused expression as he continued to gnaw at his bottom lip his mind going a million miles a minute. Of course our dear little trio girl here didn't have a clue about Jules and her precious little Nina, so she wouldn't know that letting it slip that the two were going out clubbing tonight would cause such a dilemma for him. So why had Nina lied? Well Jule's could only come up with one explanation, and it wasn't a good one either. Grabbing a cigarette out of his shirt pocket, he pulled out his lighter taking a deep drag on it, he glanced over at Bailey who gave him a repulsed look and snatched the cigarette from his mouth and dropped it into a glass of water that sat beside her bed "Do not smoke in my room you disgusting little man, I don't care how European you think you are" Bailey stood, smacking Jules across the back of the head. Jules grimaced and stood up walking out Bailey’s bedroom turning around at the door, he leant against the doorway watching Bailey as she examined her appearance in the full length mirror that occupied her room ”Well, enjoy your night...and tell Nina I said I hope she enjoys getting trashed and grinding up on random guys on her birthday.” He was seriously pissed off, but he wouldn’t let Bailey realise that, not that she would know why he was so angry. Walking in his bedroom down the hall, he resisted the urge to call Nina, no instead he would just surprise her out tonight, catch her out for once. As much as Jules liked Nina, and truthfully deep, deep down he did like her no one fucked with him ”Ok Jules, whatever” Bailey called out, grabbing her clutch and blackberry of her bed and walking down the marble staircase into the foyer of the Mitchell’s Greek inspired Valkyrie mansion. Spotting Adrian sitting in the kitchen, slumped in one of the stools by the breakfast bar Bailey gave him a small smile and walked over to him, she still had a few minutes until the driver was ready with their town car. ”Your more then welcome to come tonight, I mean you know Shay you guys get along alright…maybe even invite Jordin I haven’t seen her in forever!” Bailey finished, her tone hopeful but all she got in return was a half assed shrug from her older brother. Drawing in a sharp breath the petite brunette walked away from her troubled brother, leaving him miserable and alone. She had tried, for the one millionth time she had tried and if he didn’t want to go out with her, leave this stupid depressing overly decorated mansion there was nothing else she could do. Her excitement for the night slightly crushed she walked down the front steps of her Valk home and into the Rolls Royce town car she occupied a lot lately, ever since her parents and stepfather Caleb had put restrictions on her driving not that she minded anymore having a driver was useful, she could text and talk on her cell instead of having to concentrate on driving. Arriving at Bare nightclub, Bailey grimaced when she saw the line. The town car pulling up just outside the club, Bailey climbed out no word to the drive she just sashayed up to the bouncers flashing her smile like an I.D she moved into the club. She didn’t have to search hard for a familiar face; Nina looked like she had been waiting hopefully not for long. Bouncing over to her fellow brunette Bailey pulled Nina in a tight hug a huge grin on her face ”Happy birthday my gorgeous, you look totally stunning” Bailey spoke loudly over the music, examining Nina from arms length her excitement returning and Adrian’s miserable form and Jule’s birthday wishes for Nina slipping from her mind. - - - - - - -status , complete words , 1135 outfit , hair&makeup , outfittime/place , late evening, mitchell’s estate then bare nightclub credits , lyrics lily allen, everything else me notes , yay finally! SHAY AMBER ANDERSON PUT ON YOUR PRETTY LIES, YOU'RE IN THE CITY OF WONDER AIN'T GONNA PLAY NICE, WATCH YOU, YOU MIGHT JUST GO UNDERYOUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT WILL BE ALTERED - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "SINCE WHEN DO you even look at a file after two in the afternoon?" Honesly, it was a good question. "You've been working too hard, lately." And, honestly, that was a statement she had never actually had to say before. But, things had been different lately - so maybe it made sense. Leaning against the door frame to the messy office of a doctor Shawn Anderson - world-reknown diagnostician, general ass, brilliant mind - was the only one who would actually speak to him with an ounce of genuine concern. Any guesses? No, it's not his wife. She left him, and took his youngest daughter, for some sleazy Englishman who probably left her for someone even worse. It was his eldest, and currently only, daughter, Shay - soon-to-be Valkyrie Academy senior, headstrong model, and current party girl. Crossing her slim arms across her stomach, her manicured eyebrows raised upward, she frowned as her father continued to stare down at his desk, fingers gripping his temple. He didn't answer her. He never didn't answer her. It was in the nature of Shawn Anderson to speak when spoken to - and when not spoken to. He spoke more than he did anything else, if you thought about it. But not tonight; he just sat at his desk, half-hidden by the paperwork surrounding him. Pursing her lips, disapproval crossing her angular face, Shay lifted herself from the door frame and marched right into his office. For living in such large house for only two people, one would think he would select a space larger than a bathroom for his at-home office. It was smaller than her closet. Carefully weaving her way through the papers covering the floor - had he thrown something? - she halted in front of the desk. "Frank Suresh said you're suspended until you go to rehab. They're cutting you off." Speaking dryly, amusement lit up her sapphire eyes as the crippled doctor jumped a few inches in the air and looked up at her. Well, that had worked. Reaching out a slender hand to pick up the file from infront of her father, Shay frowned as she looked down at the detailed notes on the clipped pages. It was a messy excuse for handwriting - illegible to ninety percent of prying eyes. Her father's. Surprise number one: he never wrote anything down unless she forced him to. His lackeys - erm, fellows - could do that. "Looks like you're going back to the orphanage, then." Her eyes moved to look at him at this - classic Sam Winchester bitch!face, no? Ignoring his comment, Shay continued to frown. "Tough case you're actually interested in?" Throwing the file back onto the desk, her eyes remained surprised as he nodded in grim agreement. "Apparently so. I don't know what's wrong with her." A sigh lacing his accented words, Shawn looked up at his daughter through his tired eyes. His defeated face - she didn't see that one too often. Knitting her eyebrows together, she chose to offer him a stern frown. "You always do. Look at everything. Unlike usual." A sigh, too, echoing in her voice, Shay fell silent as she watched her obviously stressed-out father read for his multitude of blue pens - black is nasty. It had been a good long while since she had last seen him like this. You know, the way every overworked, underpaid, doctor should be on a daily basis? It was no denying that Shawn Anderson took a very different approach to the way he practiced medicine. He solved the puzzle, saved the life, and that was it. There was no point in doing anything else if he didn't want to. It wasn't like he was going to get fired; people needed him to much. Like many people in his position. Unlike many people in his position, he chose to use that to his advantage. "You're going to save her life, dad." Her words soft, almost inaudible, the model slowly backed out of the room. Her intention had been to have their nightly sarcastic exchanges before leaving for Nina's birthday party. Different outcome, I'd say. Made her almost feel like pulling in the rein. Almost. Concern for her father's workload was never a mystery to her. She knew that he was the master of appearing careless about his work. But that didn't mean she didn't notice when he began to sweat. Shawn Anderson was an individual who knew when to stop with the mindgames and be a so-called 'real' doctor. He wasn't stupid. Thoughts of her father following her as she sprinted up the stairs of their home on the outside of the Valks, Shay breathed a sigh as she looked over her shoulder before slamming the door to her bedroom. Quite unlike her two party-companions - namely Bailey Mitchell and Nina Suresh - she had no annoying male of any kind to irriate her while she glammed herself up. It was peaceful. Everytime she was over at one of their monstorously-sized homes, getting ready for yet another girls night on the town, someone was always hovering. It was a shock either of the two could look that stunning afterward, with all of the 'blah blahs' coming from people like Jules Mitchell or Timothy Suresh. Adrian knew well enough to leave the girls alone; especially with the state he seemed to be in lately. Concerned her a little. No, all the third member of the birthday crew had to keep her company was the blasting lyrics to the music she knew her friends hated. A simple thirty minutes later, Shay Anderson was standing in her bathroom, curling iron viciously working its way through her dark hair. One hand pressed against the marble countertop, drumming its fingertips to the beat of whatever nameless song from whatever nameless band was currently playing; the other was holding the handle of the ceramic styler. Too-expensive or not, the thing had better work quicker or she'd destroy it. At least she could get her hair right on the first try - perk of being a model. She knew how to fix herself up just right, each and everytime. Made her proud of herself. A self-satisfied smirk on her face, the dark eye make-up surrounding her blue eyes beginning to settle, Shay pulled the iron from her hair as it fell into yet another beachy wave. Easy a pie. She shook out her long hair, causing the waves to fall into an uneven waterfall down her back. Perfect. Smiling - or smirking, really - at her nearly completed appearance, the seventeen year-old took a minute or two to do a final inspection. Placing her hands on her narrow hips and turning to the side, inspecting her silky dress from the back, she shrugged once more. Kiran had been right all those months ago - taking a break from modeling damaged your physique. Good thing she was more famous than the Australian skank was, then. Bitch. It was true - ever since Shay had decided to end her random break from the fashion industry, she had been hitting the scene hard. Designers were thrilled with her unique features and beanpole body. Ever since shedding that last ten pounds, especially. It was obvious. Her face had become razorblades, her stomach became nearly concave. Not that she was complaining. Definitely valk!girl worthy, she quickly decided. Turning once more to the side, straightening out the leather strap of her dress, she grinned once more in self-satisfaction. No problem with being confident about your appearance now. Quickly sliding into her shoes and accessories, and grabbing her gauzy new Balmain tweed cape, she was ready for the night she had been anticipating since last month. Damn, this was going to be fun. With one more concerned look into her father's office, Shay was out the door. It's not like he cared what the hell she did, as long as it didn't get anyone in trouble. The freedoms of California living, she loved it. Slipping into the leathery driver's seat of her Mustang GT, her hands gripped at the wheel tenderly for a moment before she inserted the key into the ignition. The car was a masterpiece. It had to be appreciated. The same music her friends hated piercing the otherwise quiet roads of Valkyrie, Shay took the familiarized route to Bare nightclub. In a city this size, it wasn't difficult to find the fastest way to get somewhere. Especially not a place like Bare. Her eyes narrowed in the way they always did before a good time, Shay easily selected one of the best parking spots in the lot before staggering toward the bouncers. Like they even cared if she had proper identification - it was the same as with Bailey, all she had to do was flash a pearly-white smile and the club was at her disposal. Beauty definitely had its perks, she couldn't lie. Better than that, she could use it to her advantage. Skinny heels hitting the floors of the club hard, she twisted in and out of crowds of nasty-looking people, eyes sharp for a familiar head or two. Stone-cold sober, it wouldn't be too difficult. See? It wasn't hard at all. Within five minutes, Shay had managed to find her two friends. "What I want to know is, why don't we have shots yet?" Placing one cold hand on each of her friend's shoulders, she grinned enthusiastically. Sliding between them, too embracing Nina in a firm hug, the smile stayed glued on her angular face. "It's your birthday, isn't it? You forgot to give me the memo, no?" Laughter lacing her voice this time, Shay spoke in loud tones over the thriving beat of the music. Mainstream tunes that were overplayed - nast. Good to dance to, that's it. Hugging Bailey in greeting as well, she stepped back to examine their appearances. "You two look absolutely dashing tonight, if I do say so myself." A good party - especially one of her best friend's birthdays - could drive anything from your mind. In her case, it happened to be the lonely doctor sitting behind a paperwork-piled desk, feeling defeated for the first time in a long tie. He could always save her life tomorrow. NINA SURESH - - - - -YOU'RE THE FIRST TO ARRIVE, THE FIRST TO TAKE A DRINK THE FIRST TO HIT THE SCENE YOU MAKE all the guys stumble into walls- - - - - It was funny how much a person could change in such a short amount of time. In less than six months, Nina had gone from one of Valkyrie's resident sweethearts who never swore, rarely partied and always finished her homework to being on the verge of depression and losing most of her friends and essentially her life. Plenty of teenagers went through this stage at some point in their few years between thirteen and eighteen and Nina had just managed to scrape it in. She'd been quite fine with her little, slightly boring and uneventful life for about seventeen years but the dark period had to come sooner or later. Not to worry though because it wasn't long until Nina gave herself yet another personality change. This one seemed more permenant though, as if the dark period was just her self conscious preparing herself for another big change. It would have been impossible for Nina to go straight from the sweetheart to the valk!girl who regularly appeared on Scandal Star nowadays. It just couldn't be done. No, Nina needed to ease herself into this. She needed to adjust to the fact that things were changing before she could change herself and change herself did she ever!
A few months ago, Nina's plan for her eighteenth birthday was to have a couple of girls over and maybe go out for dinner with her family or something. Nothing extremely major. Now, a few months on from that, Nina's idea of fun was a little more elaborate. Instead, the most obvious thing to do now was to go to Bare with her girls and get wasted. A night to remember, or rather not remember, indeed. What once would have had Nina winkling her nose now had her so excited that she spent an entire day getting ready. Nina did like her new self though. She did, even if other people weren't so impressed, like her family who had made their opinions quite clear. Carlito didn't talk to her much anymore and when he did it was usually a lecture about how much she was ruining her life and why was she changing, blah blah blah. Yawn. Tim seemed pretty annoyed at her too but he just made stupid comments without a point to annoy her. They fought a lot these days. Lots of loud shouting from across the hall or across the lounge room. Alex didn't say a lot. She was hiding in her room a lot now since her dad had dropped into town, not that Nina had really noticed. She was too busy with her own life but she wasn't ashamed of that. Some people had been calling her a bit self-centred these days but was that really so bad? Was it so bad to finally be paying herself some attention? After all those months of depression and not caring about anything, wasn't it good for her to finally be taking an interest in something? Sure, her new made-over lifestyle wasn't the healthiest option but she had friends, she had a social life and she was smiling.
Standing near the door of Bare, her eyes constantly scanning the faces of anyone that walked in, Nina couldn't help thinking of how much things had changed in her eighteen years of life. It was weird to think she was eighteen now, actually. Eighteen years old and it was only now that she felt like she was really living her life. All the thrills were finally here. Partying with her friends, having fun, sneaking around with her boyfriend and occasionally working a shift or two at Happy Falcon Pizza although she was pretty close to being fired now and didn't get given many shifts anymore. Not that Nina was complaining. That meant more time for her social life! It was funny, as her shifts at Happy Falcon got less and less frequent, she changed faster and faster. The job had initially been to help keep her grounded so it made sense that as the job disappeared, she would get more out of control. But Nina prefered it the way things were going now. She had amazing friends and an amazing boyfriend.
Speaking of Jules, Nina prayed that Bailey wouldn't accidently spill the details of tonight to him because she knew Jules and he would definitely crack it at her which would probably result in another fight. Another fight, as if they weren't already fighting all the time as it was. It was almost humorous the amount of times Jules and Nina had had to turn down the car radio so they could argue probably. For a couple that hadn't even been dating very long, they were certainly passed the 'cute couple' stage that every couple went through at the start of their relationship. Jules and Nina weren't like other couples though and their relationship certainly was a typical one. They met when Nina was already half drunk at the Silver's party but there had still been an attraction. They then fell into a secret relationship and somehow a few months later, they still hadn't been found out. Considering the amount that Nina loved to talk and the fact that there was a town stalker who liked to follow her occasionally, this was pretty impressive.
Speaking of Mitchells, as these thoughts floated in Nina's mind, she noticed the stunning body of Bailey Mitchell enter the club, spotting Nina at about the same time. Nina's face lit up as Bailey reached her. "You're here! Thankyou! Ugh, you look gorgeous as expected. Love the bag!" she gushed loudly as she squeezed her fellow brunette back. As Bailey examined Nina's outfit, Nina briefly contemplated asking if Jules had said anything but just as she decided that was a stupid idea, a cold hand placed itself on her shoulder. Squealing loudly and gaining a few looks, Nina spun around to find herself being embraced in a hug from her other best friend. "Shay! Woo we're all here!" Nina beamed as she returned the hug. "Hells yeah it's my birthday. Eighteen, bitches." Nina smirked. Ah, to be so close to being out of the teen stage. Her last year of high school too, which was also awesome. "You two look absolutely dashing tonight, if I do say so myself." Nina examined Shay's outfit as Shay spoke. "And you look drop dead gorgeous of course. Now what were you saying about shots?" Ah, let the fun and games of the birthday party begin. Oh and don't forget the drama. Where there is valk!girls and parties, there is drama. Give it a few shots.

BAILEY & JULES - - - - - - - BUT IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT BUT MINE AND IT WAS YOUR HEART ON THE LINE i really fucked it up this time, didn't i my dear?- - - - - - - Jules Mathias Mitchell did not under any circumstances get screwed around, especially not by some little rich girl. Eyes narrowed as he stared down at his cell phone, a text ready to send for Nina on the screen to let her know that he knew, she couldn’t hide anything from him. He was a Mitchell for fucks sake and no little Valk girl no matter how good she thought she was, no matter how hot she was could do this to him. Looking from the text that simply read ‘I know where you are tonight, fucking liar’ then to the clock on his wall Jules blew out a frustrated sigh, he really shouldn’t give a damn what this girl was doing after all she was just a girl he should just let her screw up and come crawling back to him apologizing but he couldn’t let this go, for some unexplainable reason Nina Suresh the girl next door had a hold on him and Jules wasn’t going to let her fuck him around, he wasn’t going to let her get the best of him. Pausing just before sending the text, Jules snapped his cell shut and stood from his bed sliding the phone into the back pocket of his jeans. No he wouldn’t send Nina a text why not let her think she was getting away with her night out with the girls? Yes, let her get herself into some trouble and then he would catch her out see at least Jule’s was smart enough to not get caught fucking around. A smirk on his face Jules grabbed his car keys from his bedside table.
- - - - - - -
Maybe it was the multiple drinks and shots racing through her system but Bailey was having the time of her life, no thoughts of Adrian or the quad running through her head. Alcohol had a hold on this teenage girl, a dangerous, destructive hold that had resulted in her life getting put in jeopardy more then one time but she didn’t give up, no instead of trying to walk away Bailey slammed down the vodka shots harder and faster. Twirling on the dance floor a glass filled with vodka and cranberry in hand the brunette grabbed onto the hands of her two best friends and pulled them onto the dance floor with her, this new ‘trio’ of friends were odd looking together, the sweet or now not so sweet Nina Suresh with her petite, girly features and Shay Anderson the indie bombshell. All three so very different but they had key similarities that made for the perfect Valk girls, they came from wealthy well known families, all opinionated, young, beautiful and of course tragically flawed. Bailey with her broken family, the drug abuse, a tragic death, the love children and affairs yet like all the troubled Valk kids she managed to hide it behind a sweet smile and even sweeter disposition. Bailey had mastered hiding what she was really feeling at a young age, no one wanted to know your problems and issues even the therapists your parents paid tens of thousands of dollars to didn’t really care or help.
Still twirling on the dance floor, the obviously drunk Australian downed her drink discarding the glass on the floor in a careless fashion. A half smile on her face, Bailey nudged Nina and gestured with a nod of her head towards a group of guys, one eyeing the birthday girl off in a not so subtle manner. He looked like an out of towner; he was dressed far too stylishly to actually be from around Valkyrie. All the guys around here had that pathetic Abercrombie and Fitch look attached to them either that or they tried to dress like an Emporio Armani advert and failed miserable at it. ”Ooh look at that Nina, the New York hipster boy in the far corner is looking at you!” Obviously thrilled to bits by this, Bailey grinned at Nina and without a second glance back at her two friends was across the dance floor and yanking Mr Hipster back towards her friends a triumphant look on her freckled face as the pushed the guy into Nina and simply stated in an obnoxious drunken tone that the two ‘dance now’. Oh Bailey, no tact or clue just pure drunken idiocy. Well at least it was making for an eventful night.

”I don’t care if the club is ‘full’ my underage sister is in there and if my father, Caleb Mitchell…oh yes you’ve heard of him?” Jules stood at the front of the roped off club, the overgrown security guard was proving to be a pain in the ass but Jule’s had ways of dealing with those types, the fucking bouncers on a power trip that let in any pretty girl but as soon as a guy rocked up alone. ”One phone call and I get this shit hole of a nightclub shut down and you my friend, out of a job now is ‘yo’ babies mama’ going to like that?” The tanned boy looked up at the six foot something bouncer a malevolent smirk on his face as he took a drag on his cigarette and breezing past the bouncer, it was surprising that Jules hadn't had his head punched in yet he was obnoxious a smart ass, he insulted whoever he wanted and said what he wanted with no regard for anyone else but himself, but it was surprising what money and a family in a powerful position could do for you, it allowed you to say or do things common people wouldn't even dream or dare to do.
Manoeuvring himself through the club, Jules kept his eyes open for any sign of Nina or Bailey. Growing more pissed off by the second as drunken people stumbled into him, trashed girls slurring drunken apologies at him. It made him sick, the filth that lived in this town. Pushing through the sweaty people on the dance floor Jules narrowed his eyes at the sight of Bailey twirling drunkenly on the dance floor with that Shay girl, he’d met her a few times briefly it wasn’t surprising she was here to. Shoving a few people roughly out of the way he reached out and grabbed onto his step sisters thin arm and yanked her towards him. ”What the fuck!?” the petite brunette girl swore as she whipped around to see who the offender was that grabbed her arm, brown eyes narrowed threateningly her glare only faltered when she finally recognized who was holding onto her arm ”Jules, what the hell….let go of my arm” Bailey yelled over the music using her spare arm to shove roughly bewildered by the fact he was here, of course it was probably to ruin her night he probably blabbed to Caleb and her mother that she had gone clubbing so they sent him to get her.
Still holding onto Bailey’s arm Jules was getting increasingly frustrated it didn’t help that his severely trashed step sister was hurling all sorts of abuse at him on the dance floor and as much as he looked, he still couldn’t see Nina. ”Where the hell is Nina?” Jules yelled, letting go of her arm he ran a hand through his hair and drew in a deep breath looking around the dance floor frantically before his eyes fell back to Bailey who was giving him a perplexed look before gesturing behind Jules ”Just there…I mean wait, why the hell are you here?” he didn’t dignify her with an answer, turning around Jule’s felt a hard lump form in the back of his throat spotting Nina dancing with some fucking dude that wasn’t him. He was momentarily stunned, and for once in his life he didn’t know what to do or say. Wasn’t this what he had wanted to catch her out acting up? But now he was seeing it Jules felt weird, he swallowed but the lump in his throat wasn’t going away and even when Bailey grabbed him again and asked him what the hell he was doing he didn’t answer again, instead walked towards the guy that was way too close to his girlfriend turning to Nina anger etched on his face Jules let loose. ”What kind of fucked up family dinner is this Nina?” Jules yelled grabbing Nina’s drink out of her hand and throwing it on the ground ”Grinding up on random guys like some common fucking slut, I knew you were a spoiled little rich girl but I didn’t think you were a liar as well. Caught you out now haven’t I?” Laughing harshly in her face, Jules smirked and shook his head.

Bailey looked at Shay a confused look on her face as she quirked a manicured eyebrow in the direction of Jules and Nina. What was going on here, why was he yelling at her like he gave a crap about her? Oh hell no, it all made sense well as much as these things could make sense to a drunk teenage girl. The constant texting when they went out together and the innocent shrugs of Nina when Bailey questioned who she was always talking to and texting, the discussions with Shay about how secretive Nina was acting and the missed Starbucks visits. How could Bailey have been so stupid! Scandal Star was right, Nina Suresh was dating her step brother how god damned disgusting. Pulling out her cell Bailey hit speed dial barely hearing the faint ringing over the clubs music and the people surrounding her Bailey let out a frustrated sigh when she heard the familiar voice of Timothy Suresh’s voicemail, gosh it was only like one a.m surely he wasn’t asleep yet, oh or maybe he was with that Mary girl, ew yuck, Bailey furrowed her brow at the thought. ”Timothy Suresh” Bailey yelled into her cell ”Get your skinny little behind to Bare nightclub now I need you here the craziest thing is happening…your cousin, ugh just hurry up and get here” hanging up the phone Bailey looked at Shay ”Did you have any idea? It’s Jules….ew!”
Happy birthday Nina Dalisay Suresh welcome to the A-list.

SHAY ANDERSON -------------------------------------------------------------------YOU'RE A HOT MESS, YOU GOT ME HYPNOTIZED THE CITY'S YOUR PLAYGROUND, I WATCH YOU TAKE A BITE AT 5 A.M., ROAMIN' THE STREETS. DRUNK ALL NIGHT.AND SO YOU THINK YOU'RE HOT SHIT. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A MISS SHAY Anderson could definitely confirm that she was happy with her life right now. With all of the turmoil that had ensued in the past year or so, she had finally reached a happy, relatively stable place in her life. You have to think about it. And when you finally realize it, you better be damn well jealous. Honestly, how many seventeen year-old females living in Valkyrie, California say that? With confidence, I mean. She knew that the two girls she was currently dancing around with hid behind similarly sweet smiles, with a certain broken haunting echoing in their dark eyes. It was common to see. She saw it almost everyday, with almost all of her friends. A real, genuine smile is a rare commodity in Valkyrie - everyone silently knew that. A busted and beaten individual was far more easy to come by than a bright and happy, secure human being. Poor little rich girl, right? Not that it mattered to her. Who was she to judge others based on their personal dramas? Exactly. It was her, Shay Anderson, that she happened to be concerned about. And, right now, she had very little to be concerned about. This was a good thing. We all know that some cerain individuals thrive on the drama and turmoil occurring in their lives - they often create it for themselves. Fucked-up fails. Just, she did not happen to be one of them. She did, actually, live her life betetr if there was a pleasant lack of anything...messy. With no loose ends or annoyances hanging over her head, she was free to do whatever the fuck she wanted. As we all, as well, know, Shay Amber Anderson grew into an individual who liked to do whatever the fuck she wanted. Not that it had always been that way. Think back, way back. Back to September 2005 - the beginning of her first year in Valkyrie, as a sophomore. She had arrived in the little beach-side community with her father, a new modeling contract and a want to start over. It was disgusting. She had started off her first months here as a wanna-be with a constant want for attention. She didn't care how the hell she got it. As long as a camera lens was pointed at her, and people were actually looking her way, she was happy. Little else mattered. Really, it is astounding how a group of people can influence one's mind to morph so drastically. Once Shay had fallen into the more artistic scene, she had slowly been taught that pining for attention was a sure-fire way to get a one-way ticket to the social graveyard. And no one, not even these snobby, brilliant, poetic people would want to live through that. With the combination of befriending one Kiran Slade, it was definitely confirmed her little quirk of all that need for attention was reserving her a seat on the train towards that graveyard. Not to say tearing yourself between these two worlds - wealth and black coffee - had been easy. In all her time in Valkyrie, that had been the extent of her 'drama'. Shutting-up and finally deciding to be herself, just vastly improved, got her what she wanted: time to do whatever the fuck she wanted. When it came down to it, Shay knew she had gotten off lucky. Especially by Valkyrie's terms. There were no more insecure, 'I want to be like everyone else' thoughts plauging her mind. There was no more friend drama. There was no more fighting between one group of friends and another, both of whom are vastly different from the other. There wasn't even the circling rumours about, well, anything. On the radar, she knew she didn't even float onto the screen every now and then. Her best friends did, she didn't. The odd time she heard a snatchet of conversation in the halls at school, she was always "the weird model tagging along with Bailey and Nina". Whatever. It worked for her. At least she didn't fall down the stairs in a new pair of Jimmy Choos and spill her Starbucks all over her too-short skirt. No, it was safe to say Shay was happily content with her position on the social ladder, her life in general. It would be a lie, however, to say she didn't worry about the general lives of her two closest friends: namely Nina Suresh and Bailey Mitchell. She had seen both of these girls go through so much over the past year or so, she was sometimes surprised they were walking around, as fabulous as ever. Not that it mattered right now. All that seemed to matter at the moment was having a drink in hand, and not falling over on the dance floor. Which they were hogging. Obviously. Gripping her half-empty glass of straight vodka - on the rocks, duh - the Irish female only smirked in half-drunken amusement as Bailey skipped off to find the New York hipster, soon returning to shove him wordlessly into Nina. This is exactly what she loved about her friends. It was impossible to put your manicured finger on it, but it was definitely there: that warm feeling of having these two girls as her best friends. Everyone had better be damn well jealous. The three hot-headed, vastly different, girls knew how to suck all of the air out of the room. Even a sweaty, smelly room like Bare nightclub. At the moment, it didn't matter what the hell your life was like. Just a couple of drinks and a night hogging the center of the dance floor should be enough to make everyone forget about th eir petty problems. Even if just for a little while. She knew more than thought that was the exact reason she was out here more than a few times a week. Clearly, her peers had a lot of issues to forget about. Whatever. It worked for her. What time was it? It had to have been more than a little while. Her drink was empty; she didn't feel like getting a new one. What about her friends? After awhile, it became damn near impossible to pay attention to anyone else but yourself, and not falling over. Only the tinkling sound of glass shattering on the floor caused her to turn her back, almost slipping on the alcohol that had now spread across the floor. Oh. Maybe she should have been paying more attention. Seems it had been an eventful last couple of minutes. Ah well. That's what you get when you choose to concentrate on now ruining your epic boots. Stopping moving altogether, Shay focussed her mildly blurred vision on Nina, and the fellow who was currently screaming at her. Really? In a club? Talk about class. Arching an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed, she looked over at Bailey, who had a similar expression on her own face. She had been suspicious of Nina for weeks now. No one misses a mid-morning Starbucks ritual and lives to tell the tale. There had obviously been someone. She wasn't stupid; nor was Bailey. Not that she had assumed Scandal Slut to be correct - Jules Mitchell? Untainted or not, Nina Suresh was a kind, welcoming individual. She liked showing people around. Or bossing them around, given the situation. "I assume the satisfaction was low. Grinding can be both excellent excerise and highly satisfying." Speaking to no one in particular, she loosely crossed her arms, soon quietly observing the darling lover's spat. Leaning her weight onto her hip, as well as bending a knee to strike a defiant - not to mention stablizing - pose, she continued to watch. Did she have any idea? Sure. Just no real proof. No one grins like a gooey mess of mush unless there is a guy involved. A guy said 'no one' clearly is incredibly fond of. Hm. Jules Mitchell? She could have listed several other local males above him, both on her suspect list and people she found to be a more suitable match for Nina. Maybe it was because he was related to Bailey. That was weird. Well...Bailey hung out with that weird Tim guy a lot of the time. So who knows - family ties. They could all be very happy together, and she could watch in amusement from a bar stool. We won't even talk about her view on romance. What romance? Precisely. "”Did you have any idea? It’s Jules….ew!”" "No. Not really. It had to be someone, right?" Smirking with amusement now, she glanced over at Bailey as she was busy with her familial ties routine. Finding out a friend was dating your step-brother? She would be gagging for days. But now? Honestly, it was amusing. She had absolutely no involvement in the matter. Thus, she got to be amused and smirk the entire time. Happy birthday.[/blockquote] STATUS,, complete. NINA SURESH - - - - - WE'RE GOING DOWN, DOWN IN AN EARLIER ROUND, AND SUGAR WE'RE GOING DOWN SWINGING I'LL BE your number one with a bullet- - - - - Nina was currently having the time of her life and loving every single minute of it. She had no idea what the time was or who she was currently dancing next to but she didn't' care at all. Why would she? This was her eighteenth birthday and it was about ten million times better than she could have imagined it. When she'd originally pictured her eighteenth birthday a few months ago, she just imagined that she'd probably be spending the celebrations at some fancy restaurant with her parents and cousins with posh food that no one could pronounce and a billion toasts from everyone. Kind of boring although she'd still be centre of attention so it'd be okay. Still, she would just spend the entire night texting Shay or Bailey or Jules under the table and nodding boredly as her mother blabbed on about the lady down the street's latest scandal. Yawn.
But this partying thing was so much better. Instead of a boring family dinner Nina was currently out in the middle of the dance floor with two of her best friends and a bunch of totally hot strangers with a glass of something that was extremely addictive and giving her an amazing buzz while she danced until her feet killed and then drunk a little more and kept going as if she'd never stop. Yeah, this definitely beat a family dinner. Not that Nina was spreading the word of her changed plans. She wasn't quite sure how she'd managed to get out of the family dinner so easily but her mother had probably just postponed it so she couldn't escape it forever. Whatever, as far as Nina's boyfriend knew, she was at that family dinner eating some fancy Italian dish or something else unpronounceable and Nina was perfectly fine with Jules making those assumptions. He didn't need to know that she was actually out getting trashed with his step-sister and Shay. These two amazing girls, who in the span of a few months had completely transformed Nina into a new girl, were definitely considered to be Nina's closest girlfriends right now. Sure, Bailey had her other trio with BAD and Nina was cool with that but she loved how close she and Bailey and Shay had all become over the past few months now. Now she actually went out and had fun and in her eyes she was finally living the proper Valk life.
Jules, for some strange reason though, didn't like Nina going out and getting drunk but apparently he was allowed to go and sleep with random hookers whenever he felt like it. Nina really didn't understand that at all. But whatever, all of those worries about Jules were gone from her drunk mind tonight. There was no way he'd find out that she was here so she was perfectly safe and to be frank, by now with more shots than she could count on two hands, she'd almost forgotten that she even had a boyfriend. That was the main problem when Nina got extremely drunk. Not only did she become very ditzy and loud but she also forgot important information like the fact that she had a secret boyfriend. Thus, right now she was acting as though she was completely single - which according to her friends she was - and grinded up against any hot guy in the club. This was why when Bailey announced that a guy was checking Nina out and dragged him over, instructing him to dance with Nina, she had no problem grabbing another drink and pulling him closer to her. She threw another shot back and laughed loudly. "Woo! Happy birthday to me!" she cheered over the music, winking at Shay as she looked over at her before turning back to check out this hot guy she was dancing with. Woo good spotting Bailey. This guy was adorable and clearly into Nina by the way he was grinning at her. Or maybe that was more of a sleazy smile but drunk Nina couldn't really tell the difference and she didn't really care.
After quite a while of grinding up against this totally hot New York Hipster dude and throwing back another several shots of vodka, Nina was still having the time of her life and could have gone on for several more hours if she hadn't been interrupted by a loud and unfortunately familiar voice very close to her. Nina kept near Hipster boy but turned to face Jules as he grabbed her glass and threw it to the floor. "Aww that wasn't very nice." she said with a sigh, looking down at the glass sadly as it smashed onto the floor. "Now I need another one." she continued, her tone fairly slurred and over emphasized due to her drunkness. It was only now that she actually realised that the guy in front of her was Jules which meant her boyfriend was here. And she had told him she was with her family. Which she very clearly wasn't. As Jules began to rant loudly and angrily, she frowned, feeling a headache coming on although it wasn't quite there yet. Jules sounded pretty angry and as Nina strained to hear his words over the loud pumping music, she didn't like what she was hearing. She vaguely heard Shay's dry comment and giggled before realising that this was a bad time to be laughing.
Slowly the happy buzzed Nina moved into cranky drunk Nina and she stepped away from Hipster boy and towards Jules with an angry expression on her face. "Well I'm sorry if I wanted to go out and have fun on my birthday! So what, you're allowed to sleep with as many whores as you want but I can't come and dance with other guys? You're a fucking hypocrite! You just go back to your trashy prostitute and leave me to enjoy my birthday." she yelled straight back, hating the stupid smirk on Jules' face. God, she had a massive urge to slap him right now but there was a good chance she'd miss his face. Why did Jules always have to ruin things? It felt like whenever Nina and Jules were together they ended up fighting and Nina was getting a bit sick of it now. Especially since she was drunk and all this yelling was giving her a headache. "God I hate you." Nina added, putting her hands to her temples and rubbing them to try and ease this headache as she glared at Jules, almost forgetting about the fact that her two best friends were also in the room so her secret was probably out now.
Happy birthday indeed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
"But did it sound just okay or really crap or amazing? Come on, I need your honest opinion." Timothy Suresh rolled his eyes as he tore his eyes away from the virtually blank paper in front of him and turned his desk chair to face his little sister. Alex was currently seated on the floor of his bedroom leaning against his bed with her guitar sitting on her lap, a worried expression on her face. "Alex, it sounded great. Go to sleep." Timothy said, rubbing his eyes tiredly. Alex pouted and strummed a short sad tune on her guitar. God she was annoying. "I'm serious. It's late." Alex sighed and leaned her head back against the bed. "And you're lame. Come oooon, it's like the old times but better! Remember how I used to chill in your room and you wouldn't complain? Well now you suck." Tim swung his chair back to face his dimly lit desk. "Go to bed Alex." As he spoke, he heard his phone begin to ring from his bedside table. Groaning, Tim stood up and went to grab it but Alex got to it first. "Aha, I'll give it to you if you let me stay a bit longer," she declared, hiding the ringing phone behind her back. "Ha, no way. Give it." Tim tried to grab it from Alex but she was faster than him, despite the several cups of coffee he'd drunken in the past hour. Alex continued to taunt him with the phone, ducking around him until suddenly it stopped ringing. "Oops." Alex giggled and threw the phone over to Tim who missed it by a mile.
Sensing that he was about to get even more annoyed, Alex grabbed her guitar. "Righteo, I'm off to get some z's. Nighty night big bro." she blew a kiss and danced out of the room with enough energy to make you think it was the middle of the day, not night. She shut the door softly behind her as to not wake up the rest of the family. As Tim settled back into his desk chair, he remembered the phone and quickly went to grab it. Opening it, he saw one new voice-mail from Bailey. God, what now? Tim put the phone to his ear and listened boredly as the voice-mail lady rattled off a few boring things before Bailey Mitchell's loud voice ranted into his ear, ”Timothy Suresh! Get your skinny little behind to Bare nightclub now I need you here the craziest thing is happening…your cousin, ugh just hurry up and get here” For a moment Tim wasn't too concerned but as soon as his cousin was mentioned, Tim sat up. "Shit." he muttered to himself, leaping up. Something crazy happening involving Nina? Tim raced down the stairs as quietly as he could and grabbed his car keys before heading out the front door.
A few minutes later Tim found himself arguing with the stupid bouncer. "No, my cousin is in there and her friend just called and said she's in trouble." The bouncer gave him a disbelieving look. "Look, if you don't let me in and she's getting raped, that's on you mate. And do you know who my cousin is? Nina Suresh. As in Dr Suresh's only daughter." Bam, that got the bouncer. Tim wasn't the type to drop names all the time because it felt kind of weird. Back in Hinesville being a Suresh was more of a shameful thing than something to proud about. But whatever, he was in now. Tim maneuvered his way around several groups of drunk girls but no one looked like Nina or Bailey or even Shay who he was sure was there too. Finally he spotted Bailey's small brunette head and pushed his way to her. "Bailey! What the fuck? Where is Nina?" he asked tiredly, giving a small nod in acknowledgment to Shay who was next to Bailey.
God these girls were a pain sometimes, dragging him away from his poetry.
