the girl? coco, she's keeping it. i got her pregnant before i started dating sarai. that's why i was gone last week. coco and i went out of town to just kind of talk about things. i planned on telling sarai when i got home what happened, only she got shot at the hospital. i don't know, some crazy pervert from what the news said. but now i feel terrible.
how can i tell her what i did when she basically just got shot?

Oh yeah, I heard about that. Is she doing okay? Hmm, this is tough. Well, I think you should just tell her. I know she's hospitalized and all... but it's best just to get it out of the way, especially if she's already stable. Plus, things will go to hell if she finds out from somebody else somehow, and you know how Valkyrie is... No secrets.

no. coco and i don't see each other that way. it was a mistake. but yeah, i'm taking responsibility. it's not like i'm not going to help. that'd be ridiculous. i don't know how some people can do that. it's... your kid.
yeah she's better now. i just feel guilty. i didn't even know something happened until i came home. i should have been there, but i wasn't.

"I'm glad you think that way. I'm a firm believer in taking responsibility for kids. I mean, it's nice for a child to have two parents and that's the opportunity you and Coco are giving it. Sometimes I worry how just having a mom will affect Arietta in the long run.
I'm not going to sugar coat it... you should feel guilty. I mean, don't hate me for it, but frankly, anybody in your position would feel guilty. But people make mistakes, and if this Sarai is a nice girl, well then she's going to understand, if not at first, than in the long run."

arietta is going to grow up fine. i know plenty of people that grew up with a single parent. they're all ok. i don't hate you. i've been listening to my nineteen and sixteen year old brothers, you can see where they alliance would lie. i'm just worried. i just probably should have told her sooner. it'll be ten times more harder since of what she just went through.

Yeah... that is probably true, it may have been better to just get it out when it happened, but you can't wish for something you can't change. Put it this way, if you weren't worried or feeling guilty or having trouble with this problem, I'd be a whole lot more worried. You're human, and you're feeling all the right things. You're going through a lot too. I think she'll understand.
