CROSSFIRE is a post-potter, second generation, canon only
(but don't let that deter you, they are fundamentally made-ups with benefits)
rp set in the school year of 2022 through 2023
and we have a rather interesting plot system.
PLOT summary.
there is something amiss in the wizarding world and that
became common knowledge after the death of the first human
in years to be murdered by means of some sort of dark magic
unfamiliar to the children of this peaceful age--though they
have come to their own conclusions, for the most
part--was released to the public.
the adults were soothed only when it was pronounced an accident,
though most of them began keeping a maddeningly close eye on
their children.
the alarm was understandable, of course, death is nothing to
be taken lightly and the parents of this generation may just know
this better than any other. while this may sound bad, most of these
parents were a little unconcerned until they heard that the girl
was muggleborn. full-blown panic over something so small, something
that shouldn't even be matter in the eyes of most the children.
the children only looked at their mums and dads, who were
practically chewing their nails off with anxiety, in confusion at this
point. did it have something to do with the war everyone feels so
reluctant to speak about, the one that makes everyone stare at dad,
makes your friend's parents disapprove of your friendship?
whispers of "history repeating itself" only puzzled them further.
how were they expected to feel, when they were so unsure about
what that smudge in the history books.
everything calmed in the passing year, people took a sigh of
relief and chuckled at their silliness. nothing to worry over.
but something still isn't right, but what? why cannot
anyone put their finger on it? the children at hogwarts
are feeling lost and ignorant again. is it nothing?
or is it what the adults are so afraid of?
how it works.
it is basically a legit harry potter-style mystery,
with clues being dropped by the latest newspaper,
other members, non-player characters and other
things like the events that move the plot along and
everyone will be able to participate.
there will be death eater/ootp sort of organizations
formed and everyone will be encouraged to get involved
with that, unless they don't want to or want to be super
neutral.
CURRENT EVENT.
a ministry-sponsored charade of a dance to
encourage peace between the students,
who are taking their rivalries a little
to far. probably due to that
strange mood in the air.
