Kaden sighed heavily as he took a seat on the park bench. He felt as if the weight of the world were on his young shoulders. His parents were trying to force him into the trap of a life he didn't want. Kade wasn't a business man at heart. Sure he was really good at it, but it wasn't what he wanted to do with his life. Being cooped up in an office all day accept for when there were meetings with piggish stuffy businessmen, who couldn't wait to get out of there and find some woman to bang, wasn't Kaden's idea of a life. Kaden wanted to travel the world, see new places, experience things he'd have never thought possible, but most of all, he wanted to be able to serve his country. That was why he so badly wanted to join the army. But his parents were insisting that he would regret the decision and that he would be happier running the family business. He wouldn't be, he knew that. At least he had his wonderful girlfriend to support him. She understood him better then anyone, even his beloved sister Phoenix. Well he was going to join the army whether his parents wanted it for him or not. It wasn't their place to tell him what he could and couldn't do now. He was 19, headstrong, and determined. Kaden wasn't saying that he would never run the family business, he was just saying that for now, it wasn't what he wanted. In the future, perhaps he would enjoy it, but not at this stage in his life. Kaden buried his head in his hands and played with his lose curls as he thought things through in his mind. He truly did love his parents and he knew that they thought they were trying to do what was best for him. But that's not at all what they were accomplishing. All they were doing was pushing him away and ruining what relationship they had. The whole situation was grating on his nerves. He wished his girl was with him to help him sort things out. But she was in New York City with his sister Phoenix, on a shopping trip. He thought about calling her, but then made himself refuse to bother her. She had a hard enough life as it was without having to worry about his problems to. That was another thing that was on his nerves. Kaden had been with his girlfriend for 2 years now and still couldn't tell his parents because they would be prejudice against the relationship because she wasn't rich. It made him sick and angry and man other things that he couldn't describe. Why did life have to be so complicated?!
