PERSONAL STYLE: Jake doesn’t really pay much attention to what he wears. He’d never really showed off his money through his wardrobe like the other Parkers did. Typically he just went with t-shirts and button up flannels along with faded old jeans. For shoes he only every wears one of two things, his old pair of worn black vans or flip-flops. He doesn’t pay much attention to how he looks and finds that he’s good-looking enough even without trying too hard.
OTHER: Like his siblings, he also has an accent when he speaks some words here and there, but overall it’s pretty average for a California native.

SECRETS:
+He really hates the whole “pre-law” thing but wants to make his father happy. He’s hoping major league baseball is going to be his career path.
+When he was in high school, he was way worse than Paisely is. He still would be if weren’t for the fact that he doesn’t want to screw up his sports career.
BEST MEMORY:
+His best memory was probably when he got the letter in the mail from Valkyrie University saying he was getting a full ride scholarship for his baseball. Jake was stoked because he hated relying on his parents, and he did this by himself. They wouldn’t have had to pay a dime, though they could have easily.
WORST MEMORY:
+His worst memory was probably during his senior year when his best friend died of a drug over dosage. They had been out partying, doing all sorts of bad things, and then it just sort of happened. That is why he freaks out over Paisely all the time and tries really hard not to get involved in that stuff himself.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Jacob is a very complex book to read. You couldn’t figure out everything about him all at once because it would take a long time to know him cover to cover. In some ways, Jake is like a walking contradictory. He is pretty sure nobody knows everything about him, because sometimes he feels like he doesn’t even know himself. There are so many emotions about so many different things, and yet they all seem to double-cross each other in some way or the other.
The young man is very into himself. He’s cocky and thinks he might quite possibly be the best looking guy on the planet. Jake resents when people call it conceit though. It isn’t. It’s high self esteem and confidence. When it comes to girls, he doesn’t hesitate much. He flirts like there is no tomorrow and doesn’t ever feel self-conscious or like they wouldn’t be interested. The thought would never even cross his mind. He is pretty positive that eyes watch him wherever he goes, especially since he has everything going for him. He’s attractive, has a nice shot at being recruited into MLB, has money (though he doesn’t really brag about that), and is studying in school to be a lawyer. Jake is really into the younger girls though. He won’t go older than nineteen, or under seventeen since that is how old Paisely is right now, but he is really into the high school girls. They’re fun. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t turn down a pretty adult who comes his way. It’s just a preference, nothing more.
Even though he grew up and was raised in a wealthy environment and around other wealthy kids… Jacob really doesn’t try to make a big deal out of it. He has never wanted to be defined by his money because he feels like he has a lot more to offer. When his parents kick the bucket, he doesn’t plan on accepting any of their money for himself. Half the time he won’t even introduce himself with his last name or bring people to meet his family until he knows them really well so they won’t define him by what he had instead of who he is. Jake won’t buy expensive clothing, and has a pretty modest car compared to some of his other siblings. When it comes down to it, he doesn’t really need money to be happy, and finds life much more satisfying when he buys and earns things on his own.
Jacob is a charmer, but he isn’t a player. When it comes to who he is dating or girlfriends, he knows how to treat them right. If he isn’t dating or ‘together’ with anybody, then he flirts with girls galore, but when he is interested in a particular girl, he tends to focus on her until he gets rejected enough times that he decides to give up. He’s a gentleman with his girlfriends, though he can be a total idiot. Just because he is a good guy, doesn’t mean he doesn’t screw up on occasion. He’s never cheated on a girl, but he will break up with them for seemingly no reason. He doesn’t really know why, but every time he starts to really like a girl or gets serious, he just kind of ends it. Nobody really gets it and it annoys his sisters and mother to no end. He’s never dated a girl more than five months. It’s just a habit. And secretly, he’s afraid of getting hurt.
Jake is very headstrong and stubborn. When he sets his mind on something, he is determined to see it through to the end. He’s also very narrow-minded. All this added together makes it extremely difficult to show him other ways of doing things or changing his mind about other things. Even if the opposing argument is logical and totally proves him wrong, he doesn’t like to admit it and usually won’t unless the hard facts made him look like a total idiot if he denied it. He gets in a lot of arguments, especially with his family, about his beliefs and opinions. It’s considered a lost cause to try and persuade him to do anything because he will pretty much blow it off. He isn’t the type of person you can change. He has to change himself.
One of Jacob’s tragic flaws is that he has a really bad temper. The smallest things can piss him off, and though he has learned to manage it a little, he still flips out. Sometimes it gets to the point where he is punching lockers or something. This is also bad news for his younger sisters who he is very protective of. If they do something stupid, they can be sure Jake is going to get at them. He also freaks out on the people who hurt him or people he cares about. He’s gotten better about containing his anger, but sometimes it gets a little out of hand. The only reason he doesn’t get into too many fights is because then it affected his legitimacy to play in his baseball games.
Jacob is very outgoing and friendly. The words shy or reserved aren’t even a part of his personal vocabulary. When meeting new people he doesn’t hold back and can have a long-term conversation with a stranger with ease. He is the opposite of an awkward person and one of those guys people just like talking too. Yeah, he’s real likable. People like to be around Jake and they like to be his friend. His cockiness sometimes gets on people’s nerves, but they jokes about it with him and typically find it amusing how he doesn’t even realize how conceited he really is. Jacob is the type of kid who has plenty of friends, and he knows its not because of his money. He’d always been popular with people, but all different types of people too, not just the good looking kids he new. In fact, he loves meeting “shak kids” because they seem less judgmental. How disappointed his parents would be though.

HISTORY:
Jacob’s parents met in the oddest way, both on a cruise through the Mediterranean and happened to meet in Italy, falling in love, though neither one was Italian. The wrote letters, having a story-book romance until the moved to Valkyrie, California and college began. They were married almost immediately, the kids came soon after. They weren’t around at all for the childhood of their first five or six kids, a cousin of Isabella’s watching over them until the both graduated and Chris became a lawyer while Isabella became a doctor. Even then they didn’t have much time to be with their children. They hired a nanny who watched them all diligently, carting them around from place to place.
Jacob had always be the sports fanatic of the family. He quite his piano lessons at the age of ten because he hated them so much, but sports were definitely his thing. He played football, basketball, and baseball until he was around fourteen, then basketball was dropped. Throughout high school he played football and baseball, though the latter was what he particularly excelled in and what the scouts were looking at. He was a good batter, but an amazing pitcher. He loved the attention, and making varsity baseball as a freshman was probably one of the best memories he has to this day. It was always something he dreamed of aspiring in, no matter what it took.
From the day Jacob Parker turned twelve, he’d been dating. Sure, the first couple of years it’d bee childish and playful… but once he got to high school the real fun began. Jake had girlfriends here and there, but never anything serious. He didn’t like getting head over heels for somebody because he saw how it had affected his older siblings. Noah had his heartbroken once before he met Analeigh, and it tore him apart. Sure, he eventually found the love of his life… but it took him a few tears here and there, and frankly, Jake didn’t want to go through the pain of it. So yeah, he played the field. His longest relationship was with a girl named Dani, and it had only lasted five months before he felt he was getting to attached and dumped her. The girlfriends continued, but none of them lasting too long before he pushed them away.
When Jacob was a senior, he was a lot wilder than had been all his other years combined. He gone to a party with a friend from another school and things got a little wild. There was a point in the night where they weren’t even sure what they were snorting or swallowing or drinking. Out of the blue though, his friend began to have a seizure or something and his eyes rolled back… When they took him to the hospital it was diagnosed he had had an overdose on a hundred different things. His brain was dying, and there was no way to help him. He was in a coma for a week before the plug was pulled. After that, Jake dropped drugs for good.
This little event had occurred at the start of Jake’s senior year, and so from then until now he had been overly protective of Paisely. She wasn’t stupid, and she never got as wild as he had, but every little thing she did drove him crazy and he was always worried. She was only a year and a half younger than him, so they’d always been close. Sometimes she listened, but other times she purposely defied him and went out anyway. It worried him to the point where sometimes he would go to parties with her just to watch out for her. It took him a long time, but he eventually let loose again and let her live her own life, though he still kept an eye out for her.
Valkyrie University had an eye on Jacob Parker since his freshman year to recruit him onto their baseball team. By the end of his senior year he had already been accepted and practically had a jersey already chosen out and made for him. He was completely ecstatic, and probably couldn’t have been happier. That was his first step towards the majors. He signed up to study pre-law and psychology, mainly to please his father, though he was crossing his fingers for the professional baseball career. Now it’s halfway through his sophomore year, he still hasn’t let a girl in, but baseball season is starting in a couple months and it will be his time to shine, though conditioning is already in session.
