She's nineteen years old and new in town. Back home in Korea, she'd be called a 'nation fairy', which basically just means she's one of the most well-known and well-liked women in the country, having been active as a celebrated actress, singer and model since she was fourteen. She moved to California recently to expand her career to international proportions, but as of right now, she isn't all that famous, except to people who follow the Korean entertainment world. She's hoping for that to change soon, though, as she's in the process of filming a new movie, and recording an English CD. She's also already begun doing commercials and print ads for the American counterparts of the large international companies and magazines that she represented and modeled for in South Korea.

To put it into short words, Sunny is a total softie who thinks she's a tough mofo. Anyone who didn't know her well would say that she was a cold, heartless, unsympathetic bitch, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong. That is the persona that she has created for herself, and she is perfectly happy with it, but it's not completely true to her own personality. In short, Sunny Chang is a coward. Her strong, unfeeling character is a porcelain mask behind which she has hidden from a rather young age, and which she sprouted as a side-effect to her own self-pity, and something that she's grown accustomed to because it's easier than admitting that she actually knows how to feel. It's much easier to just assume that you're not a good person and become comfortable with this assumption, rather than trying to justify your actions in order to prove that you are. And if this whole 'no-nonsense' attitude and self-pleasing lack of interest in the well-being of others had worked out for her, she'd probably be less of a wreck at this point in her life. You see, truth be told, Sunny really is a good person, no matter how much she tries to show only the bad sides of herself. She's thoughtless and she's rude and she's snide and she's proud, but she feels guilt. And the people that are still there the next day, waiting to accept her apology, are usually the ones that get to see the soft, nougaty center hiding inside of her cold, angry exterior. Not that she'd ever in a million years admit to having a soft, nougaty center.

She'll need a few. As much as she likes to think she's independent, she leans on other people more than she believes is good for her, and she depends hugely on a few very close friends who can put up with all her crazy and not hold it against her when she loses control. I'm not sure about any long-time or childhood friends or anything at the moment, since she's fresh out of Asia, but if you have an idea that makes sense for something like that, lay it on me.

This is totally open season. Sunny is extremely hard to deal with relationship-wise because she has such low self esteem and a huge lack of faith in humanity. It's not so much that she's closed herself off, sworn off all men, or become obsessed with meaningless sex- it's just that she can't seem to find a happy medium where her feelings are concerned so she always either opens up too fast and scares people away, or she pushes people away (sometimes without even realizing it) with her immense cynicism. Basically, any relationship with her is always very generously laced with complications, which makes it pretty easy for little plot ideas to become epic ones. So lemme at 'em!

To be honest, though, I'd love for her to have a fanboy or two. XD Like some geeky teenager who watches her on youtube with English subtitles or something. Lulz. Also flings, friends with benefits, etc. are always welcome. And if you're a male friend and she finds you good-looking, she flirts with you. The end.

These are inevitable for Sunny. She's not so bad deep down, but to outsiders the most obvious thing about her is her surly and unapproachable demeanor. So it's likely she's pissed you off, not to mention that if she's in a bad mood, you've already pissed her off just by being here, so she's bound to have quite a few people she doesn't get along with. Also she gets defensive about the fact that she's famous. XD Like 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF ME I'M A CELEBRITY GODDAMN IT'. So if you call her on the fact that she has a comparatively minuscule American fanbase, chances are she doesn't like you.

I was srsly just thinking about an hour ago that I wished someone would make an Asian character! How ironic. xD So I definitely think Sunny and London could be buddies. London loves the spotlight and is famous in her own right, being a fashion designer, so she'd love having a gal pal who's a star even if it is in another country. 8) Also, Sunny could even help London by modeling her new line that she's creating; it would be London's way of getting into the scene a bit more now that she's in the US. London's also got a hard exterior like Sunny, but she's sweet deep down, so they're actually a lot alike. Perhaps London could have even known of her because London's done some world travelling in her day, so she could have seen one of her movies or something like that. Whatever you think!

I don't think Nate would have a chance of knowing her because he's really shy and his family's poor as all get out, so he doesn't get in that whole "famous" scene. lol My third character Wrynn is only three years younger than her, and she's part of the big mafia family on the site so she's got plenty of money, but I don't know how they could meet. We can definitely try to work something out if you want though! I can't wait to plot with you! Welcome to the site! 8D

HI! welcome to v-side. =D i'm clare. like i mentioned in the cbox, sunny sounds wonderful. and i'm going to demand plotting with her. :]

the thing that immediately comes to mind for her is something with my girl artie ellis, because artie's a real film geek and i'm thinking she totally could have heard of sunny at some point. because monitoring international mainstream movies and whatnot is something she'd totally do. so if they ever bumped into each other in public she could be all 'heey, i know you'. and then she'd probably go into a critique of her movies or something like that if sunny let her babble on enough. but i think that they could be friends if sunny doesn't find her too hideously annoying or anything. artie's very loyal and stubborn and she's good at putting up with a lot, so even if sunny acted kind of mean or something she'd deal with it and bite back. once she decides she's friends with someone there's not much that'll change her mind, haha. they could be fun though, like get into crazy shit and stuff together. i dunno.

other than that i can also see her plotting with my character seb devereux, just because they'd be an interesting pair. he's quieter but a bit of a fruit, loyal, a vegetarian ex cheerleader from hawaii. yada yada yada. the main way i can see them meeting is if she stops at dunkin donuts for a doughnut, cuz he works there. i can just see them having a really funny relationship, no matter what we do with them. he'd probably get a little annoyed with her but he's into girls with strong personalities, so yeah. i don't really have much in the way of actual ideas there, fail on me, so you're kind of free to input anything you can think of haha.

LONDON i like the idea of sunny modeling for her. and if london had ever been to korea, she probably would have seen posters or commercials or something for sunny because she's so big there, so maybe when she heard that she was debuting in the us she wanted to take the opportunity to work with her right away? because... correct me if i'm wrong, but it sounds like london is kind of trying to break into the business atm? so maybe she figured that since sunny is pretty much unknown in the us it would be like a great opportunity for both of them to get some more recognition? idkkkkkk. <33

ARTIE hah. as far as letting her blabber goes, sunny would pretty much be thrilled about it as long as she was saying good things, but the second she said anything like 'your performance wasn't that good' or 'i didn't like that movie very much', she would be like 'whoa buddy. you need to stfu right nao kthx.' XD i can definitely see them becoming friends, though. sunny really does like having a lot of friends but if you can't put up with a little abuse you probably hate her guts, so she doesn't actually have very many close ones. so i'm totally down for them being friends. i foresee many arguments about stupid things that eventually blow over and they forget why they were mad to begin with. XD

SEB when you said dunkin donuts, i immediately thought of her going there for a coffee, him getting her order wrong, and then her proceeding to flip her shit about it. XD idk how you feel about this. but personally i think it could make for a super-funny thread? i don't know how he'd react to it but if he's a quieter kind of person she'd probably get really uncomfortable really quickly. she doesn't always know how to act around people who don't yell as much as her. XD

MAGGIE this is going to sound really lame of me but i honestly have no idea how sunny would react to her. i guess it really depends on the circumstance and exactly what she says, because sunny is so unpredictable when it comes to her being attacked. she might keep her cool, she might completely blow up on her, or she might like break down and cry. there's really no way to tell besides letting it actually happen. XD but i'd totally be up for threading them if the ambiguity of that whole thing didn't completely turn you off. same deal with carly. <3

DANTE idk but by the way you describe him i can actually see sunny getting pretty attached to him right from the get-go. like as long as they met on good terms and everything, i think she'd really love the 'not giving a damn' thing, if for no other reason than because most people who give a damn hate her. ha. so she'd need somebody who could watch her go completely psycho and not even be affected by it. XD so if he was like that he'd pretty much become like a crutch of sorts to her.

ROWAN sunny isn't usually big on nice people. they confuse her and make her feel awkward so she just tries to avoid them if she can. mostly only if they're the kind of nice that is sweet and everything for the most part, but gets annoyed with people who aren't the same way. because sunny always feels like she has to watch what she says and act differently around them, which makes her super-uncomfortable and irritated. XD so i can't really see them getting along very well.

sure! that idea sounds great! yeah, london's a fashion designer, and she's in the spotlight around valkyrie, but she's trying to expand her horizons, most definitely. i could totally see her hijacking sunny the second she hit LAX so she could model for her. hahaha! we should thread them soonish! i'm excited for london to have another bud. <3

Hello! I haven't posted here yet, egads! Well my name is Chels, and I have three characters, one of which you've already met in the "Out of Ten" thread (Anne). Anyway, plot idea wise? It's fairly simple really...

For Anne, if she sees someone who is pretty, has a fabulous life/career, can carry her own, etc, she's going to be a bitch. At first I imagined that they'd be friends and just be bitches to one another, but with Anne's knowledge of Sunny's fame and persona, she'd get protective of her "territory" (they don't call her a bitch for no reason) and she'd just be cruel to Sunny. Not to mention Anne is popping adderrall all the time so her mood swings are obscene and she's just meaner than usual to unsuspecting victims. Sooo yeah. That's what I see for them.

Coco probably wouldn't care for Sunny, she's got enough on her plate. She's been teaming up with Anne lately though, so she'd probably side with Anne when it came down to it.

Jason would want to get in her pants. That's really all there is to it. She'd probably remind him too much of her sister though and would get a little turned off, but she's too gorgeous, so the guy can't resist himself <3

And my upcoming character Garrett, whom is a Junior, Greek pretty boy.. well.. he'd probably kind of admire her from afar, but when he actually met her he wouldn't appreciate the attitude. He's used to it though, so he'd still secretly be a loyal groupie, hahah.

ANNE. baha i love it. she sounds awesome, and i can see them getting into such epic bitch fights. eventually sunny would probably lose it on her and just start screaming, though. XD because anne seems really cold and above-it-all when it comes to bitching somebody out, and sunny tries to be like that but in reality she lets pretty much everything get to her and is just a huge time bomb when it comes to anger, and pretty much every emotion. ha.

COCO. sunny probably wouldn't really care about her either. she tends not to bother herself with people who don't bother with her, because she doesn't want to seem like some desperate outcast trying to get in with the popular crowd or something. ha. so she'd probably just leave well enough alone unless coco did something to tip her opinion of her in one direction or another.

JASON. she might let him , because of jac's milo ventismexi bias. ha. friends with benefits or a one-night-stand or something, maybe? she'd probably be kind of indifferent to him as an actual friend or anything like that, but he's hot so she'd probably sleep with him if he asked her nicely. XD

GARRETT. it might not even be a problem, though, because if she totally has a soft spot for people who admire her. baha. or really, even just people who know who she is. so if he was a loyal groupie, she'd be nice to him and love on him. and basically use him as a constant ego-boost.
