He heard what she said. It was very quiet. He could tell she didn't want anyone to hear. He thought about it for a minute before answering.
"Daph," he said softly,"I couldn't take that. It is complicated. I mean I liked you. I don't know how I would feel if we just let our feelings go. I know it is the same with you. Could we do it? I liked our friendship. Can we have both. If something would happen, could we still be friends? If we have such a good friendship it should. What do you think?"
He thought about what he said. He wish it was easy. He wished everything could be simple.

Logan watched Kimberly's reaction and at first thought everything was alright. After all, Kim was always happy. Or so he thought. Logan could read people pretty easily and right now, he was concerned. Kim was a really good friend and Logan didn't like to see friends upset. It made him upset too. He returned the hug, putting a little more pressure into it. He wanted Kim to know he was there for her.
"Nice to meet you Ashley. What kind of problem is it that Kim has?" Logan asked, wanting to be in on the loop. After all, he cared about Kimberly, though they both saw other people. They hadn't ever really been an "item" so to speak, but they had hooked up over late night study sessions in the library.

Ashley smiled at Logan and put out her hand as if to shake his. "Well, as you heard My name is Ashley" she giggled. Wow, Valkyrie held ALOT of cute guys. It was truthfully heaven. "Her problem is that she had lost something in school and I wanted to tell her where itwas" Ashley lied, she didnt want to tell anyone other than KImberly about what happened at the Movies.
She turned to Kim "I know your upset, you dont have to hide it around me" she whipered to her making sure noone around them would here her.
"If you feel like talking about it we could go into an empty room in the house or something.." Ahsley whipsered again, she felt really bad but she knew that it would be better for Kim to vent instead of holding it in.

Tears brimmed her eyes and she looked down. She got up in frustration and faced the window looking out at the party. "I've had friends who have had lasting relationships with their friends before. But, you're right. I love our friendship, Josh. Even if we broke up, we could still be friends. My friends have done that too. It just that...uuugh!" she shouted out, her back still facing him. He head hung as she placed her hands around her face and shook her head.
She whirled around, brushing her hair behind her. Once agan she was facing Josh. She crossed her arms arcoss her chest and looked at him with few tears. "I know we both don't know what the hell to do but all I know right now is that I want you to be kissing me now."[/size]

Kim breathed deeply and nodded. "Come on," she muttered, to both of them, and turned around, walking across the lawn and towards the house. She blinked a few times, willing the tears unshed not to come. Not until she was inside. How could Spencer do that? But then again, she had said that she would let it slide once. She shouldn't really be getting angry. And it was Spencer's life. How he decided to abuse it was his problem. Walking inside the house, she glanced at Josh and Daphne, and gave an apologetic smile, and walked down the hallway, trying to find an empty room that wasn't a bathroom or toilet. [/sup]

Mark glanced around the yard, and saw Rylee. He handed his present to someone and asked if they could give it Bridget. A smile spread across his face and he slowly walked towards the girl. Pulling her then into a gentle hug, he whispered, "Suprise." A laugh came from his lips and he glanced around to make sure no-one was watching, and gave Rylee a gentle kiss on the cheek. "Hello sweetie, how are you?" he asked her quietly, and then turned to order himself a corona with lime.
Receiving his drink, he smiled. "Cheers," Mark said to Rylee with a little smirk, obviously happy about something. [/right][/sup] ooc Can't be bothered changing. : D

Logan's eyes hardened as Ashley said Kim had lost something. 'Bull.' he thought, but didn't press it. Obviously Ashley was trying to protect Kimberly, that was good. Following Kim, Logan noticed the deep breath. She was trying not to cry, he'd heard that sound enough to know it well. After all, his reputation was not for nothing.
Arriving in the house, Logan watched Kim look for a spare room. Since he'd been at Bridget's before, Logan took the lead and showed Kim a spare bedroom. Flicking on the light switch, Logan went in and sat at the small desk in the room. "Alright Kim, who is he and what did he do to you?" Logan asked, arms folded over his chest. His golden eyes were dark and almost ready to kill.

Rylee smiled as she spotted Mark on his way over. So he was there and he was coming to talk to her, nice. Leaning into the hug, Rylee felt the kiss on her cheek and blushed a bit. Suddenly she wished she was dressed nicer. A black Hawaiian wrap skirt with white flowers and black jacket over white bikini top seemed a bit silly. Rylee wanted to look older, or at least seem older, so that people would stop whispering about her and Mark. How they knew was something Rylee wanted to know, because she hadn’t told anyone. Yet.
“I’m doing great, what about you.” Rylee said, tilting her glass to Mark and taking a drink of the slush. It was cool and Rylee didn’t notice the liquor in it over the sugar. Although, because she was slight of build and the fact that the glass was really big might have made her a little tipsy. This was the first time she’d drank in quite a few months, perhaps even a year.

As they entered the room Ashley locked Kim into a hug. "He is a jerk, I know that sounds cruel of me but trust me. I have seen him in so many arguments, including the one with me. He shouldnt have betrayed you like that and I say we find you a better guy so that you can dump him and move on" Ashley said sypatheticly. She let Kims head rest on her shoulder as if letting her know it was ok to cry.
She looked at Logan "Sorry for lying, I just didnt want to say it agin and get her more upset" Ashley whispered to him. She truely was sorry, and she hated to lie, but when it came to her friends she would do anything.

Nikki went to her friends. She wasn't sure what to do now. Bridget was with her friends. Maybe Nikki should have been with her friends. She looked around. It was so crowded. This had to be the biggest party ever! It made sense. Afterall, this was at the Valks.
Nikki went to get some punch. She got a cup, and put some fruit punch it. Nikki drank her punch. As she walked to find some friends, she spotted Josh Stewart. He was with his friend Daphne though. Nikki decided to wait till he was done with the conversation.

Tears slipped over her cheeks as she lay her head on Ashley's shoulder, but after a few moments of silent sobbing, she composed herself and pulled out of Ashley's embrace, sitting down on the bed. After slipping her shoes off, she sat cross-legged and looked at Logan. "I hate how you always now there's something wrong," she laughed bitterly, and patted the bed beside her, motioning for Ashley to come sit down. "His name is Spencer. Normally...he's sweet and romantic. But..." Kim sighed, not really sure if she could go on. "Oh, he does drugs..." Looking at Ashley, she shook her head. "I'm sorry for what he did to you. But he's not a jerk to me. He's...sweet." A sigh escaped her lips. "Then again, it is just a matter of time." --- Mark smiled gently and gave a nod. "I'm great, thanks," he whispered, and took a sip of his drink. Hmm. He shouldn't really drink much. 'I won't,' he told himself mentally, and gave another nod. He wouldn't get drunk. He had to drive home. Mark then noticed the drink Rylee was drinking, and between her build and the alchol it wasn't looking very good.
"Rylee, you shouldn't drink alot of that," he warned her playfully, and snuggled down into her neck, giving it a gentle kiss. One hand placed firmly on her hip and the other holding his drink, he seemed quite content, and pulled his head away from her neck to look at her softly. [/sup]

Rylee giggle and wrapped her arms around Mark. He smelled great and looked so good too. This was an awesome party. And to think she wasn't going to come. Guess good things happen when you take a risk. Rylee wasn’t sure if coming to the party or kissing Mark was the risk. Oh well, both had ended up working out wonderfully.
“And why not? I’m not driving back to Valkyrie; I’m going to stay at that house my foster parents bought over on Sunset. No one’s home so it should be peaceful.” Rylee said, taking a sip of her drink again. Yeah she really shouldn’t drink all of it, but it tasted so good. And she wanted to try some of the other drinks. Those Pina Coladas looked really good. Of course, passing out on someone’s lawn didn’t appeal much to Rylee.
~~~
Logan stood up and began to pace back and forth. Part of him wanted to demand that Kimberly not see him. But how could he do that, he wasn’t her Dad. Another part wanted to just beat the living shit out of the kid. Yeah, that would work, especially if he was the son of some famous guy. And then, there was always letting Kim take care of it. Logan didn’t want to, but he knew he had to let her take care of herself.
“You’re just not good at hiding things from me Kimmie. But I don’t know if hanging out with a druggie is good for you.” Logan said, hoping he didn’t sound like he was telling her what to do. Logan just wanted to see Kim happy. And if this guy really did make her happy, Logan would have to accept it. Though right now, Kimberly didn’t seem so happy with him.
Nikki Malinda decieded to look for people inside the place. It was a big place and she wanted to check it out. Nikki Malinda finished her drink and threw it away. She walked around the house and went past the spare room that everyone was in.
They seemed to have a serious conversation. Nikki didn't want to interfer at all. that would be rude. The could be talking about anything in there. She seem to only notice Logan though. He might have played sports, but Nikki Malinda never saw him play. Why did she like him? Nikki had no clue.
She watched them at the side of the door. Nikki didn't want to attract any attention. When someone in there turned to the door, she hid as fast as she could.
Mark laughed and turned around so he was standing in front of her. Leaning down, he gave her a kiss, and then laughed, pulling back. "You taste like strawberries," he told her proudly, and gave her another kiss. "Yeah, defiantly strawberries," Mark laughed, and took another sip of his drink.
Taking a glance around the yard, he raised an eyebrow. "Just remember this Rylee. When you pass out on the lawn, I won't be there to help you," he began with a deep breath. "I'll be throwing up in the bushes." Mark grinned at her, eyebrow still raised. "Have you seen Kim tonight?" he asked her randomly. ---- Kimberley shook her head slightly and stood up, walking to the door and back. She then turned to face Logan. "Oh, Logan, I don't know what to do. Spencer is...sweet, romantic and one of the first guys I've actually like liked in ages," she began, and then stopped, blinking again.
She walked slowly over to Logan and stood a foot away from him. "I did tell him I would let it slide once or twice. I..I shouldn't really be getting angry with him," she muttered, trying to get people to see it from her point of view. "Promise you won't hurt him," she said suddenly, almost threatingly, to Logan, looking him sharply in the eyes. To anyone listening in, it would be a rather queer conversation. [/sup]
Rylee laughed as she tasted the beer on Mark’s lips. She liked corona, it was the best beer in her mind. “Yeah, well you taste like lime.” Rylee said, setting her drink down. Water beads dripped down the side and Ry shook the water from her fingers. Looking up at Mark, she laughed as he said he would be throwing up while she was passed out. “If you need a place to crash, you can use my place.” She said, almost without thinking about it.
When Mark asked about Kimberly, Rylee thought back to earlier. She’d seen Kim, hadn’t she? Yes, she was with Ashley talking. Then Logan had come up and they’d all gone off together. “I think she’s in the house with Logan and Ashley.” Rylee said.
~~~
“I can’t make that promise Kimberly. I do promise I won’t now, but if I ever even hear a rumor about it again,” Logan sighed and set a hand on Kimberly’s shoulder,” you know I care about you Kim. I just don’t want you to get hurt. Or busted if some new cop catches you and this guy.” This wasn’t how he had pictured catching up with Kim, but, Logan wanted to help any way he could.
Leaning back against the wall, Logan rubbed his eyes. Man this was getting complicated. First off, he did want to kill this Spencer dude, but he couldn’t. Not yet at least. Unless he went cold turkey, he would do it again. Logan knew that much about substance abuse to know the patterns. After all, there was a “rumor” that his Dad was an alcoholic. Yes it was true, ever since his wife had left him all those years ago and threw the bitter divorce battle it had been going on. Logan blocked it out though, he was tough like that. Sure, tough, not many people knew how Logan really felt on the issue.
