Juliet's attention was given to the commotion of the dance for a moment, before she felt the kiss on her hand. Trying not to melt, she covered her inside dying with a little smile. "Oh, I just saw you over here all by your lonesome self and I'd thought I'd come say...hi," she said, and as she spoke the word hi, she found herself a lot closer to the boy, arms loose around his neck.
For a moment, she heard shouts, and turned to look. Juliet gave a little yelp. "Oh, poor Amanda!" she cried, and gave a little 'tut tut.' "Such a pretty dress ruined." Juliet gave a little cringe about the embarrassment she must have been going through, and then turned her attention to Daphne and Bianca, who seemed to be leaving. "Oh...." It would appear Amanda was trying to steal Josh. Oh, the woes of teenager-hood.

Logan grinned as he found Juliet closer to him. He'd found her attractive since he first saw her, with her blond hair and beautiful eyes. And ever since Kim introduced them, he'd wanted to get to know her better. Now, maybe he had a chance. If not, well, there were other girls. Sliding just a bit closer, Logan tried his best not to look down Juliet's front. Standing at six foot something, Logan was on the tall side and had a habit of sidling up to girls and looking down.
"Amanda should know better by now, but it is a shame about the dress. Expensive things wasted." Logan felt a bit of a bite creep into his voice as he remembered giving Anna the necklace and her leaving. Good thing it hadn't been real gemstones. Turning his wondering mind back to Juliet, Logan looked at the dance floor. His luck couldn't possibly be so bad that he'd get dumped on that floor twice in one night, could it? Better to ask and look like he'd moved on then to stay still. "Want to dance?" he whispered in Juliet's ear. Yes, Logan moved on pretty fast.

Juliet gave a little grin and nodded. "Expensive things do get wasted." Her mind wandered off to the many times she had lost expensive things. Like her iPod, her shoes...her credit card. A giggle came from her lips as soon as Logan's lips were near her ear. Slowly, she turned her head and caught his lips against her own.
"Sure, let's dance babe," she whispered, and slowly stepped away from him, a flirty grin on her lips. Slowly, she walked out onto the the dance floor, and turned, hands on hips, waiting for him. [Short. x.x]

Amanda went to punch table with the intentions of getting another cup, but as she started to pour, she hesitated. She felt like shit emotionally and physically, and realized that alcohol was playing a huge role in it. Deciding not to drink anymore, Amanda placed the cup down, and opted for water instead. She walked over to an empty table nearby, and took a seat. Resting her elbows on the table, she buried her face in her hands and took deep breathes, trying to calm herself.
As a slower song came up, she lifted her head, watching the various couples get together and dance. A wave of sadness crept over her, her eyes started to glaze over, and slowly form tears. Using her index finger, she delicately wiped them away trying not to ruin her makeup. It was officially the worst homecoming ever. She wanted to leave, but it was obvious that she was too drunk to drive home. Leaning back in her chair, she continued to watch those dancing feeling especially vulnerable, and waited to sober up so she could leave.

As the slower song went on, Nikki looked around for Dylan. She heard about Daphne and Amanda and was worried. Nikki wanted to find her friend first. Make sure she is okay. Amanda was hr best friend, besides Elliot. She was the only girl best friend Nikki had. It would make her sad if something happened to Amanda.
Nikki finally spotted her. She came over and put her arm over Amanda's shoulder. "I heard about the incident..." Nikki said. How to cheer her up? Nikki had no clue. This had never happened in all ehr days in school. 'What to do....' Nikki thought.

Just as she started to zone out, Nikki approached her. They had been best friends for a while, so it was only natural that she would come over after something as catastophic as what happend occurs. "Yeah..." she felt awkward. Not because she was talking to Nikki, just because the whole situation was well...awkward. "It kinda sucks, she totally ruined my dress".
That obviously wasn't the only thing that was wrong with the situation, but the easiest to talk about. She'd rather not talk about how Josh didn't wanna dance with her, and Daphne's huge overreaction that caused a scene. She then started to chance the subject. "So, how's your homecoming? Where's Dylan". She emphasized Dylan because she knew that he was Nikki's first boyfriend, and liked to tease her about it sometimes.

Dylan looked around for Nikki. She was talking to her friends, but where? Finally, he caught her. She was talking to Amanda. Dylan walked over, just in time to hear the question. "I'm right here," he answered Amanda. He kissed Nikki on the cheeks.. He didn't want to make a big scene in front of Amanda.
"Are you okay?" he asked her. About everyone heard about the incident. News travel fast around Valkyrie. It could be told in minutes, even seconds.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she said towards Dylan. Sure she had been embarrased infront of practically everybody, but she really didn't care. She knew that the majority of the people at the dance were drunk, and most were more concerned with who they would hook-up with that night than whatever had happened to her. "You know, you guys can go and dance if you want. I'm perfectly fine sitting alone." She paused a little to look at her the clock on her phone, "plus, the dance is almost over".
Realizing the truth in what she just said, she smiled to herself because after every party, there was always an after party. After parties were usually the best part of the dances. No supervison, tons of alcohol, and tons of drunk students looking for a hookup. Perfect.

Logan grinned as he felt Juliet's lips on his. This was one of the reasons he loved Valkyrie. Not only did the teachers not really seem to care what the students did, the girls all liked to move fast. And, as was Logan's motto, if you weren't moving fast, you weren't moving at all.
Walking out to the dance floor with Juliet, Logan caught the beat of the song they would be dancing to. It was slower, lustful, perfect. After the party, it's the after party, and after that is the house. Logan's Dad was out of town as usual and his brother and sister were in Los Angeles. He had his huge house to himself and whatever girl he could convince she needed to crash at his place. Moving into the beat, Logan pulled Juliet closer and held her in, but gently. Even drunk he knew not to press that close without permission, girls slaps really hurt.

“Oscar, always the gentleman,” he replied rolling his eyes in a jokingly manner. “Well it’s not like she’s not the most gorgeous girl in school, so I don’t feel sorry for you,” Elliot said looking over to where Anne was talking with a couple jocks. “But the whole ditching you thing kinda sucks.” Elliot nodded his head. “But so does not being here with anyone.” Elliot had arrived solo on a whim. Homecoming was far from his scene and well the reason he was here wasn’t all that clear to him yet. Just then he watched as Rylee entered the gym and his attention wondered to her. She looked so cute all dressed up. He looked back at Oscar. “Sorry bud, but I’m gunna ditch you too,” he said smirking. “I wanna go say hi to someone.” With a casual wave he left him and made his way over to the punch table.
He came up behind Rylee and poked her lightly in the sides before standing beside her. “Hey!” he exclaimed, the goofy grin still plastered on his face. “Didn’t know you were coming.” Elliot grabbed a cup and poured some punch in, knowing full well a number people would have had spiked it by now and the alcohol level would be quite high. Gulping it back, he knew he was right as it burned his throat. Elliot wasn’t usually one to drink, but tonight just seemed like a night to get drunk.

Two drinks later, Rylee felt just a bit wobbly. She tossed some hair off her shoulder behind her head, brushing the earrings she wore. She was in no way drunk, just a bit lighter. Feeling the poke on her side, she whirled around with a small gasp, ready to douse whoever had done it with the bright red punch. It was Elliot.
Rylee stared a bit before she brought the drink to her lips and smiled over it. No way could she do anything to Elliot, they were too good of friends. “I didn’t plan on it, couldn’t find a date. But, Sara already had bought the dress, scheduled the hair and make-up stuff, I couldn’t say no, so here I am. What about you? I didn’t think this would be some place I’d run into you.” Truth be told if she’d known Elliot would be here, she would have let the make-up lady do some more stuff. Like her eyebrows and whatever else she’d been blabbering on about a few hours ago. Smoothing the front of her dress, Rylee looked Elliot over. He was either drunk or stoned, but she didn’t care much threw her own little haze.

Oh Shit!... is what Josh thought as soon as he saw Daphne coming towards them. She had probably assumed they were dancing. Josh felt like dizzy and was in shock the whole time Daphne came over and yelled. He couldn't talk or move. He just had a horrible feeling inside, wishing Daphne what really happened.
Josh wanted to hurt something. He didn't want it to be over. Not yet. Daphne needed to know he was just about to walk away. That he didn't want Amanda. That she was all wrong in her thinking. Would she believe him, though.
Josh followed Daphne out the door. It was raining hard outside, still. He didn't even care. He was focused on Daphne. He saw her immediately. He rushed over to her. He knew she wasn't in a good mood, but he had to try.
"Can we talk for a second?" he asked her. He knew she would probably think it was a lie. He had to try, though.

“Yah,” he nodded. “Truth is homecoming’s not really my scene, thought I’d drop by kinda last minute though, ya know? For kicks,” he shrugged taking another swig of his drink, finishing off the cup. To be honest he was enjoying himself, sure nothing overly interesting or important had happened yet and the girl of his dreams wasn’t paying any attention to him, but for some reason it wasn’t bothering him. He smiled at Rylee. At least she was here, someone he could have a good time with and things not be too complicated.
“You look really pretty,” he said to her, a big grin on his face as he scooped out some more punch. “You clean up nice,” he added in a teasing tone. Truth was she always looked pretty and Elliot was beginning to notice. The whole Nikki situation wasn’t really working out in Elliot’s favor and his hope was starting to die.
“Hey!” he exclaimed as the song changed to something upbeat and recognizable. “You wanna dance!? Please,” he asked grabbing hold of Rylee’s hand and dragging her towards the dance floor.

Rylee nodded, she hadn't really planned much on Homecoming, being almost anti-social. And yet, here she was. Draining her third cup, she reached for a fourth. Normally Rylee didn't get drunk, but tonight it seemed ok. Besides, John and Sara weren't supposed to get back until tomorrow morning.
A blush heated Rylee's face as Elliot told her she looked good. She wasn't exactly used to compliments coming from guys, but this was more friendly. "Thanks, you clean up pretty well yourself." she said, looking from his shoes to his hat. Classic Elliot with a formal twist, it was nice. As the song changed and he asked her to dance, Rylee broke into a grin. "Alright, but I'm not very good." she warned grabbing Elliot's hand, emboldened by the booze, and pulling him toward the dance floor.

Daphne and Bianca exited the gym in a hurry. I have my dad's car, Bianca said putting her umbrella over the two. All Daphne did was nod. She just wanted to get the hell out of there. Leave. Be gone. Drink a bottle of tequila in her room and pass out on the white carpet. She heard splattering footsteps behind them. She close her eyes and breathed evenly, or at least tried to.
“Can we talk about this?”
Her eyes snapped open and whirled around facing Josh. She stepped out from underneath the dryness of the umbrella, immediately feeling the rain splash her hair. She felt the water seep through her silk dress. She looked at Josh, tears welling in her eyes, but he probably couldn’t tell due to the rain. “Talk about what Josh? How you embarrassed me in front of my friends? How you made a complete fool of yourself and mine? How everyone else is right? They got what they wanted. Us being over!” she felt the anger rising and falling as well as the tears.
