HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG...
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For the entirety of Andromeda Wallace's school career, she had been longing for the day when she would be free from education's despicable, soul crushing clutches. Since day one, she had been gleefully imagining a time in which she would no longer be forced to put up with the continual reminders of her low grade intelligence and the fact that no matter what she did, no matter how hard she tried, it wasn't quite good enough. Of course, back then, that time was nothing more than an unachievable state of bliss looming several hundred thousand miles away from where she herself was standing, so it had seemed like the most prudent option to take was the 'don't get your hopes up' one, because, surely, a circumstance in which she wouldn't have to put up with the awfulness of it all couldn't possibly have any valid place in reality whatsoever. It was just common sense.
However, after consigning herself to an eternity of misery and several bouts of temporary insanity, the day that seemed as if it would never arrive, never ever, actually did. And it didn't seem real at all. The hellish end of the year exams, the agony of not being able to speed up time and get the whole fucking thing just over with already and the grand scale of the whole package of monotonous drudgery that school had presented her with for however many years had numbed her to the experience of any sort of joy concerning its finally ending. It wasn't fair in the least. Then again, she was more than used to things not being fair. It seemed to her that her whole entire life had just been one lesson in unfairness after another. It was inevitable that she get used to it after a period of time, but that didn't by any means guarantee to free her from frequent indignant reactions. This, of course, by no means meant that she hadn't been able to enjoy any end of the school year parties, because she had definitely received her fair share and more of fun and amusement out of those. Although it had been slightly trying having to pretend to listen to people she honestly didn't give much of a flying fuck about but had to keep up pretenses with for whatever reason babble on and on about what colleges they had been accepted into. Andie herself was not going to college. Not any time this year, anyway. She had conceded that it might work out for the best if she were to attend the community college next year, but she wasn't going to think about that just yet. Currently on her big picture agenda were two things: enjoy herself and find some sort of job, part time or otherwise.
Of course, we can't keep up talk of how Andie had managed to graduate from high school without bringing up the person for whom she had had to painfully swallow her pride and ask to be an instrumental part of it all. In complete honesty, the moment she had realized that, one, to not hideously fuck up somehow on all her tests she would need some help and, two, she had only two options and neither of them were very pretty, was one of her top five worst moments of this year. Her two options had been her cousin, Collin, who seemed to genuinely despise her and, whenever forced to spend time with her, acted as if she were cold fish, and Donny Davis, the computer geek whom she had wanted to punch since their first meeting. Superb, yes? Though she wouldn't have believed it if you had told her a month or two earlier, but Donny had wound up being the lesser of two evils in that situation for her.
To her complete and utter surprise, however, Andie had found that, after a while, spending time with Donny hadn't been anywhere close to as bad as she had thought it would be. In fact, when they were together, she actually often caught herself actually enjoying his company. Only several weeks prior, she would have thought that that was as creepy as it was going to get, but she would have been wrong. Sometimes, with him, she felt happy, genuinely happy. And not like drunk happy or partying happy or revenge happy, but peaceful and content happy. Furthermore, she occasionally found the strangest sensation creeping through her system, one that she recognized and always did her best to beat back and silence, because... well, just because. She didn't really know how to go about dealing with it.
And though school had been over with for a while now, it still wasn't uncommon for Andie to drop by the Davis apartment semi frequently to see Izzy. That was always her official reason, anyway, though it also served as a guise for another one that she didn't plan to reveal to any living thing whatsoever at this point and time. Today was one such day for one of her visits, because she had found herself rather deathly bored and she suspected that someone was about to start nagging her about whatever reason they could come up with, seeing as her aunt had been giving everyone mini 'make something of your life' speeches whenever at all possible lately.
It had been raining all day, though only barely. However, as she had arrived at the Hitten apartment building, it worsened to the stage in which it could be classified as more of a downpour, which resulted in her being slightly damp when she knocked on the siblings' door. She was let in and told that Izzy wasn't around at the moment by Donny, so she decided to simply hang around until that status was remedied. Evidently she wasn't too much of a hideous annoyance to Donny as long as she didn't gab on and on too much. After a few minutes of lounging around, counting the colors she could identify in English in the room, and trying to find patterns in the weaving of her shorts though, she decided she wanted some sort of verbal action, so she chose a relatively neutral start, though it probably had some good potential to cause some sort of annoyance to the receiver. "I'm bored."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donny J. Davis Like Jessica Rabbit she collects bad habits gets her drinks for free Animated vixen stole Cupid's arrow and came to rescue me In the blink of an eyelid my lid opened up and I could see That she'd come to rescue me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Things around the Davis' Apartment and the Hughes' one just down the hall, had not been the best as of late. Its not like life was ever particularly easy for them but everything was a bit more tense than usual. Liz killing Darren, Orion showing up, followed by Widow who was actually staying with him and Izzy instead of Liz and Orion, mainly because him and Iz actually got along with her by some miracle. It's just, everyone's life was in danger because they were helping Liz, everyones involvement with the Sirens, as in working on the same side, was over because they chose to help Liz. Even Widow by a strange twist. By keeping Liz still being alive a secret from the Sirens, she was helping her enemy. Even if the sadistic little brunette was holding it over her head, hanging Liz out for all she's worth. And yet Donny was friends with Widow? She wasn't exactly his type of friend, then again, who was? Widow was Darren's daughter and she's as damaged as they come. She's shallow and vain and completely self absorbed. Appearance is almost everything, attitude is the small gap in the circle to make it complete. She seemed to have a strange claim over him, or at least, she acted like she did. They had never slept together but kissed? All the time actually. Not so much lately since the mood was so somber but she usually pecked him on the lips as she left. But they were only friends, that's all Donny wanted and come to think of it, she was actually fairly similar to other female friends of him. Beautiful with attitude... He recently created a strange friendship with Tristan Silver and.... well.... sort of a ... at least a tolerance with Andromeda Wallace.
Now there was a surprise. Andie had been a surprise. When the two extremely different human beings originally met, it was like highly articulate cats and dogs. No, seriously, the two were not friendly in the slightest. There was about a half moment or two in which they tried to be civil for the sake of Donny's sister and Andie's friend Isabel Davis, but it didn't last very long at all. To be perfectly honest, both of them, including Donny, he would admit with reluctance, had arrogantly assumed they knew each other's type. She took one look at him and all she saw was a nerd, and he was used to that from girls that looked like her. "Looked like her" meaning gorgeous. Insanely so. So when he saw her and the way she seemed to look at him, all he was able to see was the shallow little girl who wasn't worth his time or energy to bother with being offended by. If there was one thing Donny wasn't, it was the typical nerd. He's not going to deny he has a lot more nerdy tendencies than most. He was smart, very smart. He was tall and appeared skinny, although honestly he was more of a swimmers build when his shirt was off. He was a Siren, they train. He ate health foods and was very hygienic, especially for a male. And while he was an incredibly fast runner, and could probably to gymnastics or something, put him on a football field and he would be lost. But he was also a computer hacker, one of the countries best. He had no fear breaking the law. He had extremely flexible morals, was not exactly the guy with the pocket protector.
But the part that seemed to confuse or surprise the most amount of people, was that, unlike most typical nerds, Donny was not easily intimidated. He had a confidence, and sometimes flat out smuggness to him that would usually throw people off. When the jock circles the nerd, the nerd is expected to stutter, apologize and beg. Donny on the other hand would roll his eyes and probably insult the bastard or simply laugh at the man's stupidity. He did not drool over the beautiful girls and let his hands get all sweaty from nerves because if he didn't have a shot, why bother? besides, he wanted a girl that could make him laugh, not one that would want to hide him away from her judgmental friends. He may not see himself as attractive but he was still too good to be treated like dirt. His back up confidence came from the knowledge that he had the power to ruin anyone on his bad side. He didn't use the power for personal gain... often. He mostly used his skillz for financial gain whether he was stealing or doing a job. But he still knew he could and being powerful made anyone confident. Whatever, I digress, the point is, when this blond had judged him, he did not go cry, he talked back or ignored her. Either pissed her off. But one day in the park, she threw all his assumptions and preachy assertions out the window. One day, in the park, when Iz had ran to talk to Liz, Andie and him had gotten into a spat and she had... she had kissed him. All of a sudden, after he insults her, she kisses him and then looks horrified with herself. Both him and her decided to never mention it again, but even he had to stop claiming to know how that girl's mind works.
Had he thought she meant anything by the kiss? No. not romantically at least. His best guess was.... well.... he didn't have one BUT he was 100% certain it wasn't anything important, especially not anymore, now that they tolerate each other a bit better. She had sucked up her pride, a move he secretly admired him, himself acknowledging how tough that was to do, and she had asked him to help her study to raise her grades up by the end of the year. They were awkward at first but soon the blond became less of an annoyance and more of... an almost friendly acquaintance. He kind of liked hanging out with her. She was way more intelligent than she gave herself credit for. And I don't know, it was like, after they let themselves go into the neutral zone of a tutoring relationship, they were able to handle each other's presence rather well. Had she been another, or even uglier for that matter, he may have actually started to crush on her but Donny's mind was not the type to dwell on possibilities so he honestly never thought of her romantically, despite her being the last girl his lips had touched.
Today was just another day. Summer had started, no classes and thanks to Donny's magic on the computer they didn't really need to work to stay afloat. Some could call what he does work but he gets such pride and thrill out of it, it's more like playing a video game. Just a little while ago, Andie had come over looking for Izzy. Izzy wasn't here. Where she was, Donny was not sure. Probably out with Xavier or some friends, maybe with Liz, who knew but she left her cell at the apartment so he couldn't call. He had been working in his room/home computer lab(seriously it looks like radio shack in the room that's completely off limits). Then he had heard a knock and it had been Andie. Not really caring if she was around, he let her just come in and wait. Not wanting to be rude he had come into the main room to keep her some sort of silent company. All he did was move one of his laptops into the main room and put it on the kitchen counter as he multi-tasked cleaning and checking stocks. He was a clean person, what did I tell you? Perfect skin too, that's one thing no one can deny in his physical appearance, he had great skin. "I'm bored." Donny heard a voice speak from over by the couch. He didn't look up from the plate he was washing when he replied, "And..." he began, "... what exactly would you like me to do about it?"

HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG...
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was so strange; the fact that some things that seemed irrevecably permanent could change so quickly. Not even two months ago, Andie had hated Donny Davis with just about every fiber in her being and had been quite sure that she always would. And now... well, it was really a very different story, wasn't it? It didn't make sense to Andie at all. She didn't understand why she no longer wanted to roll her eyes in contempt and mild disgust whenever she laid eyes on him. She didn't understand why she no longer felt the need to throw an insult at him whenever the opportunity presented itself. She didn't understand why she constantly didn't want to avoid him at all costs - unless arguments were involved; nothing like a good argument, especially if she won - . Nothing about their situation made sense to her. Hell, some of the algebra she and Donny had been covering was easier to wrap her brain around than her own damn feelings. The whole thing actually gave her a sort of apprecation for math (wow, there was something she had been sure she wouldn't ever say), because numbers were numbers, concrete and unchanging. They were simple in the sense that you could trust the rules to take you to the answer every time. And they were complicated in the sense that the goddamned rules always seemed to be complicated and stupid and a great big fucking headache inducer. Though, after a while, when you had been working at something until the rules freed themselves from the murkiness, even if you didn't know why in the hell it was even relevant in the first place, it got easier. And studying with Donny had helped Andie with that, and almost everything else, though, seeing as fate seemed to have a small fetish with tormenting her, studying with Donny had also yielded another, extremely unexpected and, frankly, unwanted result. Ack. She wished that life would be simpler, that it would follow a set of predetermined rules like numbers did. Although she would be also be willing to settle for it just shutting the hell up every once in a while.
And the cherry on top of the disturbing concept that she was actually falling for Donny Davis was that it seemed that there was absolutely no possibility for anything to ever happen between the two of them. Donny was the kind of guy who liked smart girls, ones who were well read and had insight on all sorts of shit, ones who were nice and cared about everybody.... In other words, Donny was the type of guy who liked girls that were everything Andie was not. It all got really quite irritating every now and then; a glob of frustration that pulsed faintly from time to time from somewhere within the recesses of her brain. However, despite everything, at the same time, it was all kind of... exciting, as crushes and things like that often were, in a way Andie didn't really know how to describe. Which was one of the two reasons she so enjoyed dropping by the Davis apartment regularly. The remaining reason was pretty self explanatory; she wanted to see her friend Izzy, who was always a pocketful of sunshine and, surprisingly, didn't annoy her. Normally super perky people could drive Andie absolutely up the damn wall.
His voice carried through the room, in the indifferent, nonchalant tone she had had heard several times before. "And... what exactly would you like me to do about it?" Sighing, she straightened her figure and turned to face him, pulling her hands through her hair as if she were about to do a pony tail, but released it and let it fall back behind her shoulders. "Something entertaing," she responded, as she slouched toward the counter upon which his laptop was perched. "I thought that was obvious." Shifting her weight onto one hip, she glanced at the screen of the laptop, but due to its angle and the way the light in the room was hitting it, couldn't make anything much intelligible out of what she saw. Whatever. She didn't really care much anyway. It was probably something boring and Donny-like. "What are you doing?" she asked, eyebrows raised. Eh, any conversation was better than no conversation at this point. Besides, she liked bothering him. It was usually pretty fun, even if it was one of those pursuits that made her remind herself of her cousin Robbie... which was just disturbing. She still had to wonder if she was actually related to that kid. He was such a weirdo. Though, admittedly, he was far better than Collin... even if that really wasn't saying much. It really wasn't hard to be better than Collin Wallace in Andie's eyes. Donny had even passed that test back when she had passionately detested him. See? Not hard, not hard at all. In the case of Collin, Andie often wondered if perhaps he was actually an alien placed on earth at birth by his fellow aliens to do some sort of study of human behavior; like how people reacted to a bundle of pure cold, icy contempt and jackass-ery. Come to think of it, she would not be greatly surprised if her whole entire family was composed of aliens. They were all pretty weird. Of course, as of late, she seemed to be developing an affection for the weird, and she was as surprised as the next person about it. Maybe it was just her odd compulsions that Donny had talked about acting up. That guess was as good as any because she really had no idea how any of it had transpired, which, as previously mentioned, tended to get her goat. It only seemed fair that she at least be able to have some sort of handle on some kinds of basic emotion. But oh, right. Life and fairness didn't really fit together, did they?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donny continued to work away at his computer. He appreciated his own lap top much more now that he had worked on the computers in the regular computer lab at the college campus. Why do they bother? Basic Macs? Expensive, easy to use for word processing and graphics for presentations in class. Practical for any college campus library to have ready for student use. But come on, where's the fire? Macs just don't have the spark that a Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 might have. Then again, Macs were... acceptable. At least they weren't some dinosaurs from the year 2000 you know? He just got frustrated. He was used to fairly high running machines. Go into his room and you would definitely be able to see that. He shifted his weight onto one of feet as he leaned on the counter. Input 01001 to output 1101. Installing this, whiping that. And some may look at him strange because he was alone in an apartment on a rainy night with Andromeda Wallace on his couch and these were the thoughts going through his head. Well, what can he say? He is a realist. No point in even considering things that had a one in four billion, twenty three million, five hundred seventy six thousand, nine hundred and thirty eight chance of ever happening.
Okay so Donny was a bit of a computer nerd, although he preferred to be referred to as a computer genius, and in a way he was that as well. He had always been an intelligent person, but it was the fact that he took computing so seriously and dedicated so much of his time to the art of the technology that made him a real nerd technician. Donny was the boy who at seven was taking apart the microwave to see how it worked, putting it back together with some slight modifications and then forcing everyone to not leave their food in it for quite so long due to the new found strength of it. He took apart computers, his close associates did not have to go buy upgrades. Give him twenty bucks and he'll have your computer running so quickly and so protected, you would never have to buy a $79.99 upgrade again. He was "quite the useful bumble bee" as Isabel put it. But anyone who know him, knew he was way more than that. And that was good enough. He didn't have to prove anything to anyone, least of all the physically blessed.
Donny looked up at the blonde bombshell as she pulled her hair back for a moment and responded to his question, "Something entertaining, I thought that was obvious." Donny gave a small smirk at her words and stood up a bit straighter. "I could try to juggle knives if you like? Perhaps borrow one of Izzy's unicycles?" He replied with sarcasm tinging on his tone as he looked at the girl. "What are you doing?" He widened his eyes slightly as though he hadn't heard her correction, "Hmm? Oh um..." He shook his head slightly, pulling his eyes back to the screen which was opened onto some 300 bank accounts in Connecticut about to steal one dollar from each. Yeah... that would be an easy one to explain. He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head, "Yeah just some boring stuff for class." He lied, turning the screen off. The computer was still on, it had work to do and bills to pay. He picked it up and gave her a slightly forced smile as he walked around to the other side of the counter. Honestly, he was surprised she even asked. She never really seemed that interested in things he did, maybe she really was just that bored.
The ex-Siren oddball set the laptop down on the table in front of the couch before walking over to the kitchen. He had the screen locked. No, he didn't expect Andie to go invade privacy like that but it was out of habit. He then walked back over to the small kitchen area and opened the fridge before sighing slightly. He shut the door and put his hands on the counter looking over it to Andie, "I'm going to run across the street, get some soda, do you want anything?" He asked out of courtesy. Donny nodded as she told him what she wanted and he made his way into his room to get his keys and wallet. Now, there's one thing that's certain, Donny had made sure no one goes into his room. He keeps his room locked. See, go into his sister's room, you'll see what you expect, a lot of colors. Go into his room, see something you would expect to find in the CIA headquarters. Mainly because half of his room was covered in computers and monitors from floor to ceiling, (rough floor layout). It was pretty clear, when entering his room, that he might not be up to the most honorable things. He walked over to the desk in the corner where his printer/fax was and flipped through the piles of paper. Despite the room being cluttered and slightly cramped, it was spotlessly clean. Just very cluttered. He got to the bottom of the pile of papers which included an email printed out from some of the sirens, where he had left his wallet and placed it in his back pocket and grabbed his keys off the night-stand and made his way back out, shutting his door but stupidly, forgetting to lock it.
Donny looked up at Andie as he made his way to the door. "I'll be right back. Dont answer the door for anyone, bad neighborhood you know?" He nodded before exiting the apartment. He would only be gone a few minutes but honestly, with the "rebel sirens", as Izzy was beginning to call the little cluster of them, with them in the state they're in at the moment, he just didn't want to leave her alone very long. He may not have had a great start with Andie but she wasn't the she-devil she thought she had been.

ANDIE WALLACE ,HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG...- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When you came right down to it, andie was very lucky that donny didn't seem to know even half as much about girls as he did about computers. she thanked her oh so lucky stars that he seemed completely oblivious to all the feelings that coursed through her and caused her untold amounts of frustration. because she shuddered to think about what he would do if he knew. ughh. that thought was almost entirely too painful to keep inside of her brain for very long because, in fact, she wasn't completely sure exactly what he would do, so, in her mind, it was the pain of one possibility she had thought up, multiplied by three, one for each of the remaining possibilities she had, mostly logically, sketched out. they were as follows: one, he could laugh at her. two, he could ignore it. three, he could try and stop spending any time at all with her. four, he could pity her. the last one would be the most painful of all and, if it wound up happening, andie was fairly certain that the only solution to the whole thing would be for her to bang her head against a wall for an hour or two.
Part of the reason this was so frustrating was that this type of thing hadn't ever happened to her before. she hadn't ever liked a guy who she couldn't have. and, despite the fact that she had slept with more than her fair share of young men, she had only had feelings like this for a choice few of them. and they had been the kind of guys whom she could win over, or at least make disposed towards being won over, by her usual, handy dandy, fool proof seduction techniques. she hadn't ever had to worry about stuff like this before. it was a bit disconcerting, spending time with a male, a male of donn'ys age no less, who was not completely ruled by their hormones. it was also a bit scary. she relied a lot on the hormones of guys, because they made it fairly easy to get what she wanted. the reminder that it was possible for some guys to function like donny davis did was not a welcome one, because it told her that it wouldn't always be this easy to get what she wanted out of men. damn it all.
He smirked at her. "i could try to juggle knives if you like? perhaps borrow one of izzy's unicycles?" she had to fight a smile, she wanted to keep her face straight and emotionless. "those both sound perfect. get to it." her efforts to keep everything about her demeanor serios and monotonous faltered as she finished up the statement because she could help but let the corners of her mouth twitch upward. he seemed surprised that she had inquired about his activities on the computer. it wasn't like she really cared, but that didn't mean she wasn't curious. he spent so much time with computers, there had to be something fascinating he did with them. "hmm? oh um.... yeah just some boring stuff for class." he turned the computer off. sigh. of course. heaven forbid he might be doing anything that would be the slightest bit entertaining to hear about and therefore penetrate the thick cloud of boredom surrounding her brain, even for a moment or two. "fascinating," she said dully, leaning a hand on the counter and shifting some of her weight onto it and watched as he went out into the living room area to set the laptop down on the table in front of the couch before wandering back into the kitchen area, opening the refrigerator and evidently not finding anything to his liking. "i'm going to run across the street, get some soda, do you want anything?" she shrugged and told him a lemonade would be good if they had any.
He nodded and then headed out of the kitchen. andie drifted lazily after him a few paces and saw that he was headed for his bedroom, which she had been strictly ordered to stay out of. andie had really no idea what on earth he had in there that needed to be kept so secret, that required him to trust no one. he even kept the door locked nearly all of the time that he wasn't inside of it. personally, andie felt that he was probably being a bit of a drama queen about the whole matter. how much damage could she possibly do? honestly. he reemerged with his wallet and keys a moment or two after going in and she noticed that he hadn't locked the door. odd. as he was making his way towards the door of the apartment, he threw an advisory her way. "i'll be right back. don't answer the door for anyone, bad neighborhood you know?" she sighed and nodded. "you got it."
The door swung shut behind him and andie flopped down onto the couch once more.... jesus, donny had only been gone for about half a minute and she was already even more bored out of her mind than she had been a few minutes ago. she hadn't even thought that that would be possible. she cast a glance upward and suddenly her mind conjured up an image; the door of donny's bedroom, staring right at her, taunting her and taunting her, whispering "i dare you...." damn it. she tried to get that image out, but it had dug its claws into her brain and nothing she tried was able to even being prying it loose. she sat up abruptly. one peek couldn't hurt. she'd just stick her head through the doorway for a moment and be done with it. donny wouldn't ever have to know. everything would be peachy keen. peachy, peachy, peachy keen.
She stood up and made her way over to the bedroom door, an excited, anxious feeling rising up through her midsection. turning the handle, she pushed it open and took a small, careful step inside, unless he had booby trapped the place or something. well, this was dumb, she didn't see anything out of the ordin - holy shit. there, right smack dab in donny davis's bedroom, was what looked like the contents of some super spy/ninja/hacker's lair. fancy computer stuff out the ying yang. okay, this was probably why he had wanted her to stay out of here... but why? there wasn't anything wrong with having a freakish amount of advanced looking computer stuff in your bedroom.... oh, wait. unless you were doing something less than scrupulous with them. hmm. andie wasn't sure exactly how long she simply stood there either in minor shock or mulling over what exactly donny used all this equipment for, but it was probably longer than what was safe. she tentatively took another few steps forward, because a distant part of her mind was stil suspicious of booby traps. now much closer to all the computers and equipment, she noticed a piece of paper resting on a spare bit of space and she couldn't help but read it. her eyes widened as she did so and her mind began to whir again. because, basically, the gist of it was that donny was being asked to hack into some sort of computer database and several allusions were made to "the sirens"... who or what exactly was that and why did it sound familiar? hadn't robbie once mentioned that there was a gang known as the sirens somewhere...? then, what...? oh. oh lordy.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donald Davis did feel strangely nervous leaving Andie Wallace to go get a soda and a lemonade for her. He locked the door as he exited but something in him felt like something bad was going to happen because of this. He would just go quickly. He was just worried that the one time he leaves an innocent person alone, the "family" would pop up and kill the first breathing thing in site. He knew the likelihood wasn't great and he didn't even care about Andie that much! Right? Woah strange thought. The lanky hacker made his way down the stairs to the ground as the realization formed in his head. He cared about Andie. He started out by hating her but he was actually feeling some irrational worry for her. Strange. It's not like they were good friends. He didn't feel anything ro-romantic for her. He didn't. He was never one to want to impossible but for some reason, he was worried about her as he exited the Hitten Building and made his way to the curb. It would be fine. Nothing would happen. His gut instinct was just acting up. He nodded and looked both ways before jogging across the street to the gas station, bowing his head from the rain.
The large door gave a little ding as Donny entered. He glanced around the place for a brief second, just taking in his surroundings before he walked over to the cooler section. As he came up upon the soda's he felt a buzzing in his pocket. Donny reached in and pulled out his cell. It was a text from Liz just warning him about Widow being in a bitchy mood. When was the girl not. But he did appreciate it though. Widow was... well she was something. He smirked slightly. Widow hated Andie. Widow had decided a long time ago that Donny belonged to her, and the fact that he sort of kind of had another female friend other than Liz bothered her. Not that she anf Liz got along, but donny was not the reasoning for that. That was some deep and psychological messes to do with their fathers and Lizs brother. God, Junior had screwed up the entire planet. He dropped the cell back into his pocket and reached up, opening the doors to the coolers and pulling out a bottle of diet pepsi and a minute maid lemonade before making his way of the counter. After paying for the drinks, he placed them in his sweatshirt pockets and pulled up the hood of his hoodie again as he crossed across the parking lot and gas stations of the gas stations and all the way back to the Hitten Apartment complexes.
That worried feeling didn't go away as he made his way through the rain. It was hard to say whether it was strange or normal for Donny to be anxious. It was strange he was anxious at the that moment but I meant more in general. Being who he was made him a bit on the comfortable side when it came to the law. He was just happy he was good enough to not get caught. He tended to be pretty laid back and very lax when it came to judging others, unless of course he thought they judged him. That was why he couldn't stand Andie at first. But he wasn't with out her neurotic tendencies at all by any means at all but they were all more personal ones. He was far more strict with personal hygiene than most males in this world were. Which was probably why he had such healthy and clear skin. He was always a healthy eater. It was a funny habit in contrast with his sister's eating habits. Seriously. Go into the small kitchen of their apartment, open up their snack cupboard. On one side you will find Zebra Cakes, Susie Q's, Assorted candies from Wonka and doritos. On the other side you will find Kashi bars, vitamin supplements, and plain popcorn. Got to love the two together. They were such different people but then again, its hard to find two closer siblings. He didn't know what he would do if anything happened to her.
Donny shook his head slightly to get off some of the rain as he stepped into the apartment complex. The male looked around the hall before he started up to the stairs. Coming up to their apartment, he put his key in the door and turned it counter clockwise, hearing the little click of the lock snapping back. He stepped inside, pulling the soda and lemonade from the small plastic bag. He was about to say he got it but when he looked up, Andie wasn't there. Donny immediately put down the drinks on the counter and looked around, he was about to call out for her but he didn't know if anyone was still here. He looked around and went down the hall seeing his door open. And then he realized, she hadn't been attacked, she hadn't been hurt she was snooping. She was snooping in his room. Now here's the thing, when he had agreed to tutor her. It had been under a few certain conditions. One of which, the most important of which was for her to stay out of his room. Sure he may not be tutoring her any more or at the moment but he had expected that that rule was still in play. "What are you doing in here?" He asked, stepping into his bedroom as she stood there. Fuck the one time he forgets to lock up his room, someone lets curiosity get the best of them.
But then, something caught his attention. The paper she had been starring at. Donny groaned slightly, "uh no no no." He mumbled as he walked past her, putting the note underneath a pile of less conspicuous papers. "See, this is why I tell Iz not to print out the emails." since there would have been no way for Andie to hack into his email. Not that he was taking a jib at her intelligence but if the cops couldn't do it, he doubted she could. He sighed and looked at the gorgeous blonde, wondering if she had any idea how much more dangerous it was for her now that she knew, or at least, partially knew. He gave her an almost concerned but stern look, "I thought we had agreed you wouldn't come into my room? I had the rule for a reason." He asked her calmly.

ANDIE WALLACE ,HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG...- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Okay. andie drew in a long breath. she was probably just somehow jumping to the wrong conclusion here. donny had a suspicious email and a bunch of scary looking computer stuff in his room (that he didn't seem to let anyone but himself enter, mind you). it didn't mean that he was involved in some sort of gang no doubt wanted by the fbi or something. for all she knew, there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for every single one of the suspicious things she had run into. however, even as she was thinking this, other things were flitting through her mind. all the whispered phone calls donny took into the other room whenever she was around. all the odd looking strangers who came and went at odd hours through the davis apartment.... it all seemed coherent with the gang theory. and that was... not cool. first of all, if, in fact, donny (and possibly izzy, as well?) was involved with this siren gang thingamajig... well, that was dangerous, wasn't it? she really didn't like the idea of something she cared about - albeit unwillingly in the case of donny - involved in such a risky business. and it was weird to think that they such seemingly completely normal people would have such a very non normal secret. the thought that she might be in some sort of danger now came to her mind briefly before she shooed it away because she wasn't ready to give up on her whole reasonable-explanation-that-did-not-involve-gang-activity theory.
She suddenly realized that donny would probably be back with their beverages any second now and that she should probably haul ass before she was caught breaking the first and only rule of their arrangement: that she not snoop around in his bedroom. however, before she had time to even turn around, a voice sounded behind her. "what are you doing in here?" gah. fuck everything all to hell. she turned around and faced donny davis, who stood just over the threshold of his bedroom. "nothing," she answered, a bit too quickly, inwardly cringeing at how guilty her face probably looked. "did you get my lemonade?" the fact that any attempts at starting up a normal conversation to distract him were defintely completely fruitless didn't occur to her startled, nervous brain. he walked past her. "uh no no no. see, this is why i tell iz not to print out the emails." well, that didn't seem to do much for her no gang theory. he was acting a wee bit guilty of what the email and other suspicious going ons alleged. he looked back at her again. "i thought we had agreed you wouldn't come into my room? i had the rule for a reason."
"Umm... yes, I'm realizing that,"
she said, because it was the first thing that came into her head. the illicit activities she was suspecting him of being involved in were reason enough for pretty much anybody to keep their bedroom doors locked and private. now that she was settling a little bit from the shock of being caught redhanded breaking the rules, an achey feeling came into her stomach and she wondered why. it wasn't a sick feeling, it was more like... regret. holy crap. it wasn't the realization of the feeling that was shocking her, it was the cause of the feeling. she was feeling bad for betraying the promise she had made to donny. that hardly ever happened in relationships that involved herself. and it scared her a little. if life thus far had taught her anything, it was that the people you let yourself get too close to (like the ones who made you feel guilty about your broken promises) were only too capable of hurting you. and that revelation of minor fright surprised her a bit, too. she hadn't ever thought of herself as one of those people weird or messed up about people or commitment or whatever before. ugh. she just hated this whole thing. why couldn't every thing be simple? why couldn't she just go back to feeling nothing particularly special for donny davis? if she could do that, she'd defintiely wouldn't feel as bad for snooping around when she had explicitly agreed not to, so it would definitely be a big plus for her. She looked back up at him and curiosity got the better of her. she couldn't just sit and wonder for much longer. he couldn't expect to be able to just wave it all off with a la-di-dah-you're-not-supposed-to-be-in-my-bedroom. "so," she said, doing her best to make her accented voice sound completely casual, crossing her arms over her hoodie enveloped chest. "that email... what... what exactly did it mean?" she paused for half a second, trying to decide on the best tactic on pushing her question a bit further. she didn't want to directly mention this... this gang because she was so mudddled on the issue and probably didn't know what she was talking about. she just wanted to say something that would probably lead to some sort of explanation about that part of what she had read. "is hacking computers a hobby of yours or... something?"[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS done. FINALLY. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ------------ IT TERRIFIED DONNY TO THINK OF ANYONE finding out about the current situation him and the other Valkyrie resided sirens were in. There was too much at stake and too much risk to get anyone involved especially not some girl who was just a friend of Isabel's and nothing else. And that's what she was, nothing else. She started out as an enemy and now she's just... there. He enjoyed her company and all but he found it hard to call her a friend. She had been a student for a little while in there. What can I say? Donald Davis was a bit socially awkward. You know the character Bones on Bones? The way she looks at human interactions and can't see what's in front of her face? He was a lot like that. He just was a logical person naturally meaning it could be hard for him to see the emotions behind people a lot of the time. He also had been rejected and used quite often. So cynicism had kicked in to a mighty strong degree. He never even considered relationships with girls that were anywhere close to the physical attractiveness scale of Andie and girls like her. Widow was different. Yeah she would kiss him and flirt and act like no other girl was allowed in his life but they both knew neither of them liked each other like that. Widow just gets protective since she's not really close to anyone and she has an irrational fear of another girl in Donny's life taking away her one real friendship. That's why the dark haired vixen in his life despised the blonde haired vixen.
------------ DONNY WATCHED AS ANDIE TURNED TOWARDS HIM with a look of guilt on her face as she responded. "nothing," sure nothing, Donny rolled his eyes. "did you get my lemonade?" Did she seriously just ask him that? Donny had in face gotten her her stupid lemonade as is sat peacefully and safely on the kitchen counter. And want to know why it was safe? Because it wasn't snooping through his bedroom finding dangerous materials and damn it all, why didn't he shred that stuff yet? How stupid of him. He should have known, no evidence was safe until it was destroyed or untraceable. "Your lemonade is in the living room, you know, where you're supposed to be?" He asked with a bit of bite. Let us not forget, small brewing friendship (or much more) or not, this was still Donny and Andromeda Wallace. They were still at odds with each other the majority of the time. Donny was not prepared for this sort of explanation. Had she come into his room and only seen the computers he could come up with one on the spot. If she had seen the news paper clippings all having to do with Donny's work or his family's, he could have come up with a quick response and delivered it with no wavering confidence. But no, she had to see an email which clearly outline a job, addressed to him.
------------ DONNY MIGHT HAVE TO TELL HER IF SHE HADN'T already figured the whole thing out. Lets face it, Donny was close to some strange people for just the average computer nerd. There his sister which wasn't weird but then there was being friends and seen around with Elizabeth Hughes who was mostly seen as a bad ass and had been here longest. More recently there was Orion Hughes, tall, buff, tough, broody and mechanic. And then of course, the one that got the most 'What The Fuck?' looks, was his close friendship with Widow Hughes, a gorgeous shallow glamour party girl who had decided he was her property. Yeah, not the usual friends for a computer dork. But then again, Donny really didn't have the attitude of a nerd. He was extremely hard to intimidate. He was cynical and sarcastic and did not sport a nasally laugh. He didn't snort and only wore glasses if he had been working close to the screens for too long. He was slightly farsighted so sometimes it would effect him as his eyes got tired. He wasn't pimpled, in fact the boy had perfect skin because he was a hygiene freak. Oh yeah, he didn't smell funky. He was just... anything but stereotype and he was proud of that.
------------ HE LOOKED OVER AT HER AND CROSSED HIS ARMS, just waiting for her to spit out the questions. He knew she had them and after a short while, he knew she would have to ask. "So," ... and there we go. "that email... what... what exactly did it mean? is hacking computers a hobby of yours or... something?" Donny took a deep but silent breath and looked her in the eyes with a stare conveying that she already knew it was more than that. After a moment of quiet, he replied, "It's more like a career choice, Andie." He began but he knew he would have to continue. He sighed before starting again, "Do you remember the girl you met here once. She came through during a tutoring session, brunette, went by Widow?" Donny asked more rhetorically, "Her grandfather is the man in charge for the Sirens, his right hand man is David Davis, I know, his mom hated him for that name. Grandma was always a bit spiteful." He added, admitting his relation to the gang as a family. He wanted to explain that he wasn't a part of it officially anymore but how did he do that without explaining everything that happened with Liz and Darren Jr. Instead for now, he just forced a small breath of a chuckle as he waited for more questions, "I told you you didn't know everything about me."

ANDIE WALLACE ,have i been on your mind? what's a voice without a song? something in your head you've been fighting all the long...- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - SOMETHING that she had never realized before was now occuring to andie. this hadn't ever really, truly happened to her before. she hadn't ever felt this particular way about a guy before. this was by no means the first time she had been... ugh... attracted to a guy, but, as far as she could remember, the great majority of the other times, the basis of the attraction was looks and her compulsion to feel wanted. and this was definitely not the case with donny davis. his looks had not won her over, though she did grudgingly have to admit he was rather cute in a geeky kind of way, and when they had first met she had despised his guts. in fact, this was actually the first time she had felt this way about a guy, period. it seemed a bit odd, even to herself, seeing as she had so much... experience with interacting with men. the vast majority of her other relationships with the opposite sex had more to do with sex and wanting to be desired than actually enjoying their company. and it just so happened that this was one of the reasons andie was feeling so frustrated about feeling all of this. she didn't like new or strange feelings, because they made you vulnerable. and being vulnerable was one of the things that she fought against tooth and nail every single day.
AND, speaking of all that, this was just her luck. the first guy she, ugh, had genuinely fallen for was a computer geek, about a zillion times smarter than her, had absolutely not interest in her and was, apparently, invovled with a big vicious gang. lovely, just fucking spiffy. she was quite sure that life or karma or god or whatever the fuck was in charge of the universe these days enjoyed playing these cruel jokes on her just to watch her squirm. it was seriously uncool. she wished she could just snap herself out of this; have some sort of... epiphany and have her feelings about donny return to nothing more than innocent and, at times, grudging toleration. but nooo, apparently that was just simply not allowed. the clinker for her was that she didn't even know what it was about him that made her like him the way she did. sure, he was basically a good person and whatnot, but she could handle that. she had no idea why she felt the way she did. and it sucked. rampantly. it was like having an invisible enemy.
HE rolled his eyes at her. damn it. she wished, more than almost anything, that she could either go back in time far enough so that she could get the hell out of his bedroom before he caught her in it or go back in time far enough so that she could keep herself from going into his bedroom at all. she couldn't decide if her previous burning curious boredom was more powerful than her desire to have never discovered any of this. "your lemonade is in the living room, you know, where you're supposed to be?" she ducked her head slightly and avoided his eyes. damn it, she hated feeling guilty. yet another reason she really, really, really wished that she could care little enough about them; so that she wouldn't feel bad about betraying his trust. fuck life. "it's more like a career choice, andie." damn it. those words signalled the official flight out the window of any, however futile, hopes she had harbored of there being a less harsh explanation for this. "do you remember the girl you met here once. she came through during a tutoring session, brunette, went by widow?" andie narrowed her eyes. yeah, she remember that chick. stupid bitch. looked at her all condescendingly. "her grandfather is the man in charge for the sirens, his right hand man is david davis, i know, his mom hated him for that name. grandma was always a bit spiteful. i told you you didn't know everything about me." pausing to give herself time to let that sink in, andie sucked in a deep breath. "yeah... i remember." she raised a hand and ran it through her hair. "this gang thing, is it dangerous?" she did her very best to keep the real question (which was whether or not donny was in any direct danger) out of her words. the only thing worse about feeling the way she did about donny davis would be him knowing about it.
SHE was quite curious about this, but at the same time, she wanted them to be able to put the conversation behind them. if she wasn't careful, it could stray too far toward the sensitive subject she could not have him getting too close to. sucking in one cheek, andie shifted her weight onto her left hip. "does this mean that you are a criminal?" wow. it was weird to think of him like that. sure, he definitely didn't strike her as the sweet and innocent type, but before this she hadn't ever expected anything illegal out of him. huh. she was now wishing she could erase the fact that she had a bit of a soft spot fo bad boys. shaking her head almost imperceptibly as if to get that rather disturbing thought out of there, andie decided to go for a weak joke. "you don't need to kill me now that i know about this, do you?"

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donny J. Davis Like Jessica Rabbit she collects bad habits gets her drinks for free Animated vixen stole Cupid's arrow and came to rescue me In the blink of an eyelid my lid opened up and I could see That she'd come to rescue me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ------------ DONNY HAD NEVER BEEN IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS to be honest. He was never so absent minded enough as to not take precautions but, to tell the hardcore truth, he had not really seen Andie as the curious type, at least not when it came to guys like him. Donny was not the typical nerd, as it has been proven and demonstrated many times. but part of that included his attitude. Brain-wise he was a nerd. He did enjoy computers, that was nerdy. But he didn't snort or have bad hygiene. He was not into dungeons and dragons. He was not a trekki, or someone who treated Star Wars like a religion. To be fair, Widow was more of a Trekki than he was, although if she knew he knew that he might not have a pulse at this moment so he always kept it to himself that he knew her dirty little secret and how she has a starfleet Federation badge in a small secret pocket of her duffle-bag. Yeah, he would keep all that to himself in order for self preservation. Anyways, he also kind of was not a nerd, apart from being smart. He tended to hang with very hot chicks a lot of the time, Widow, Liz, Tristan and lately, Andie. He just never dated them. Although he did have sex with Liz, not something he was proud of, they were drunk and she felt bad for him. That had to be his lowest moment. It was the only thing that ever made him feel pathetic. He was never timid, because in the real world he was more threatening or had handle far more dangerous men than any of the high school bully jock types. Even low level criminals who think they are all bad ass and scary were just sort of white noise to him.
------------ ALL IN ALL, DONNY WAS NOT REALLY A NERD, HE JUST had a nerdy capability and a non-muscular physique added onto a sarcastic wit and a general lack of interest or satisfaction he just became one to the eyes of those around him. It bugged him at moments, other times he used it and sometimes he just found it funny. He specially found it funny when people tried to intimidate him because it did not work. There was nothing funnier than watching someone who many consider and considers themselves a badass try to scare this guy who looks like a nerd, while the 'nerd' tries his hardest to stifle the laugh rising. Why should he be scared of them? He had seen men shot in front of his face. He had been beaten by gang leaders who just so happened to be his family members. He had been threatened by the men heading up the America's most wanted list and these jocks with one assault charge at mot were supposed to make him shake in his boots? Are you fucking kidding me? And it was almost extra hard for him in the Sirens because while he was not a girl and therefore not getting molested by the late Darren Jr.(inside joke since all three of my siren girls have been), he was still an oddball by not being... well... an ass. He was the computer kid who was a disappointment to his father because he didn't want to physically hurt anyone. He would rather destroy them electronically. Made it easy now that everything was done one computers. And it was that ability that eventually got him to a relatively respected position in the gang as well as a coded reputation in the underground world and within the FBI for that matter. He was also proud to say they hadn't even come close to catching him. After the big job of 2005 where he pulled information out of the US Treasury, he heard they arrested some kid a few years older living in Connecticut for a few days thinking it was him. heh. Well, Donny thought it was funny.
------------ BASICALLY, THE POINT WAS THAT DONNY HAD SEEN AND BEEN in many different situations, but this one, this one was new. And he didn't really know what to tell the blonde girl in his room. "yeah... i remember. this gang thing, is it dangerous?" Hell yeah it was. And was that a bit of concern he sense in her voice? "You don't watch the national news much do you?" He asked, again rhetorically. He shrugged and turned away from her slight, "But yeah, more so now for us. We're sort of... involved in something I can't tell you about." He mumbled slightly. What he meant by that was at this moment if the police got them, they were in prison for the rest of their lives and if the Sirens caught them they would be lying dead in a ditch somewhere for the murder of Junior. But that would be too long of a story and honestly, he just wanted to tell her what he had to in order to stop questions, the less she knew the better. But she wasn't a child, despite her turned up nose when they met and her constant need for attention from men that caused so many problems with them, including a strangely placed kiss of confusion when he told her she was pretty that they had chosen just to forget about instead of talking about it. Yeah that was a weird day. But she did have the right to know, so looking her in the eye with as much seriousness in his voice as he could muster he added, "But I should tell you," He paused slightly looking for the words, "that if they do come to you, you'll want to pretend to know nothing, ever. And if they ask, say you haven't seen Liz Hughes for months, and try not to panic cause we'll find you." yeah because that didn't sound ominous. "But honestly, I doubt they'd come, so really you're fine... we're just in a... messy situation right now."
------------ GREAT, DONNY WELL DONE. HOPEFULLY SHE'S NOT NOW THINKING about the possibility of being tortured for information before killed. She doesn't know anything. "You don't know anything, didn't know we were ever anyone but a computer nerd and a perky painter. Nothing, okay? Seriously. I won't even tell Wid and others you know anything." He added hoping in vain that might make her feel better. Somehow I doubt it. "does this mean that you are a criminal?" "Very much so." Even in the seriousness of the situation, Donny couldn't help but smirk slightly. He crossed his arms over his chest and smirked slightly, "Bet you didn't see that coming huh?" He watched her as her brain seemed to be busy processing. "you don't need to kill me now that i know about this, do you?" Donny gave a rather uncharacteristic, genuine smile, "No." He said plainly and honestly, "I've never killed anyone and I never will." He said, almost sweetly. He meant it though. The only way the boy could kill is if it was self defense. "Besides, I kill you and Iz kills me, kind of counter productive, don't you think?" He added with a smirk, kidding. He would never kill.

ANDIE WALLACE *HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG... - - - God, this was so not how she had wanted to spend her afternoon. for starters, she would have rather liked to have gone down to the beach and hung around there for a while, but it had been raining and... being down near the beach while it was raining made her anxious. secondly, she had definitely wanted to hang out with izzy rather than donny, because though, unfortunately, she, ugh, enjoyed donny's company nowadays, it made her think about how she felt about him, which frustrated her. it also made her slightly nervous because she was afraid she might slip up and accidentally let him in on her little secret. and, thirdly, she would really rather have not been made aware of this little tidbit of information, that donny's family was a part of big stupid dangerous gang. speaking of which, it was kind of hard to believe. not just because donny and izzy seemed like such normal, albeit a bit quirky, people, but because... well, since when was news like this easy to absorb? exactly. since never. it just didn't seem like it could be very real. however, that didn't mean that just how much this whole thing sucked impacted her any less powerfully. of course, she had always been quite perceptive about how much things sucked. call it a talent. it was just her luck that the first guy she had fallen far was not only super smart and probably wouldn't ever have an interest in her in a gazillion years, but he was also a criminal involved with a dangerous gang. and don't get her wrong, 'dangerous' guys were normally somewhat of a turn on for her, but dangerous in the sense that they rode motorcycles and stole things and beat people up, not dangerous in the sense that they were well connected with people likely to kill you if you peeved them off. that kind of dangerous didn't appeal to her so much. if the fact that he was a criminal didn't come along with the fact that he was involved with this, it would have been cooler, because it would mean he was just a badass. so, so weird thinking of him like that.
- - - She kept her grayish greenish eyes cast down towards the floor of his precious little forbidden bedroom, because she didn't want to look at him. she was afraid that her face would betray too much of what she was actually feeling and thinking and she, damn it all, she still felt guilty about going in here in the first place. fuck. caring about people was so damn annoying sometimes. actually, come to think of it, she didn't have a whole lot of experience in caring about people. there really weren't very many people around that she genuinely cared about. sure, there were a lot of people that she liked and didn't want to kill when she was hanging around them, but there were only a select few that she would miss if they were to leave or something. and two of them were donny and izzy davis. weird. especially since she had only known them for a couple of months. what surprised her more was the realization that she actually liked to keep it this way, caring about as few people as possible because, if life had taught her anything, it was the people you cared about were the ones who could hurt you the most. hm she hadn't ever really thought of herself as one of those commitment shy people before. mostly because it hadn't ever really come up.
- - - "You don't watch the national news much do you?" she shot a narrowed eye look up at him through her lashes. she didn't appreciate that. and it was true, she didn't watch the national news much. at all. she figured there were enough things going on in her life that made her sad and depressed. no need to watch tv and find some more. "but yeah, more so now for us. we're sort of... involved in something i can't tell you about." she raised her eyebrows. "but i should tell you, that if they do come to you, you'll want to pretend to know nothing, ever. and if they ask, say you haven't seen liz hughes for months, and try not to panic cause we'll find you." hooo boy. she couldn't help it. she felt her eyes widen a bit. it was safe to say that that freaked her out. a lot. "but honestly, i doubt they'd come, so really you're fine... we're just in a... messy situation right now." okay then. she thought a moment about what would be best to say next, but then thought fuck it and decided to go along with exaclty what was in her head at that moment. "well,"
she said plainly, bringing her eyes up off of the floor and focusing them on a point on the wall of donny's bedroom to the left of his head. "this sucks some major ass." life couldn't just be uncomplicated or anything like that. nope, life had to be knowing things that could get you obliterated by a gang. grr. "you don't know anything, didn't know we were ever anyone but a computer nerd and a perky painter. nothing, okay? seriously. i won't even tell wid and others you know anything." she exhaled. "fine by me. totally." she was certainly wished it was true at this point. the phrase 'ignorance is bliss' had never made more sense to her before. "very much so. bet you didn't see that coming huh?" he was smirking. she narrowed her eyes at him again. now really wasn't the time or the place for him to be getting all smirky, in her opinion. she didn't appreciate it. "don't smile like that," she said, more of a snap in her greekly accented voice than she had intended to put into it. "no. i've never killed anyone and i never will. besides, i kill you and iz kills me, kind of counter productive, don't you think?" she had to smile a bit at that. "well, someone had better be avenging my death," she said, trying not to let the smile into her voice too much. after she managed to terminate the smile, she bit her lip. she had to find a way to ask this... "so." okay, so far, so good. "what... what about us?" oh fuck. she hadn't meant for it to come out like that, like they had some sort of... relationship. actually, come to think of it, it was a stupid question; whether or not things would change between them. wasn't any way to ask it without possibly getting him suspicious. she flicked her eyes back down to the floor. damn it all.[/blockquote] STATUS finished. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donny J. Davis Like Jessica Rabbit she collects bad habits gets her drinks for free Animated vixen stole Cupid's arrow and came to rescue me In the blink of an eyelid my lid opened up and I could see That she'd come to rescue me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ------------ MAYBE HE HAD MISUNDERSTOOD LIZ ALL THESE YEARS. He had assumed Liz kept people at such a strong distance because she was afraid of being hurt, but now he really knew the real real reason. She kept them at a distance to protect them. Know that Andie knew, it set a whole new reality on the situation. He knew it was dangerous, especially now but before it was just them. Donny, Izzy, Orion, and Liz. He didn't know if Widow should be placed in the same grouping. Really it just felt like them against the world but now that Andie knew, part of the outside world had gotten in and now could be in danger as well. He doubted she would be in too much trouble though. The Sirens knew them and knew they would be too smart to let anyone in... so much for that theory right? But luckily, it might provide her some extra protection. Donny was used to it just being them against the world. All his life it been him and Izzy. Izzy had been very close to Orion.... very if you catch my drift and Widow had always had a strange fascination with Donny who was always crushing on Liz who really didn't become his friend until Valkyrie. He was always good friends with Kenny though. Ken was a dangerous guy but when he cared about you he would go to the end of the world and back if it meant making sure you were okay. He was a good man with a tough life. And if there was anything Donny knew from being born into the Sirens, it was that there was a lot of gray area. It didn't make the crime okay, but that crime didn't make Kenny a bad guy. Nor did it make Orion a bad guy because when it came down to the crunch time, Orion couldn't pull the trigger on Liz.
------------ THERE IS A DEFENSE TACTIC USED IN COURT CALLED entrapment. It is where someone committed a crime because they thought it was all they could do, like their life or the lives of their loved ones are threatened and it's the only way out. According to law, the only way it's a viable defense is if the government was entrapping them. If you asked Donny, this was a stupid policy. Orion was bruised and beaten into pretty much a mindless soldier taking orders. Do or Die, as they saw. So were a lot of Sirens. That made them bad people? that they did what they needed to in order to survive in their world? But of course, law says before they do anything illegal they should have come to the police first. And yet you are allowed to kill in self defense? Seems pretty close to the same thing in his mind. Although in entrapment, in general you aren't killing the one who's ever threatened you. Donny was lucky. He was never the type his father wanted out there with the bullet or blade. Donny did all desk work. His hacking skills being a very useful skill now that most of the world was computerized. Killing was wrong. Donny knew this. But don't think he's a moral guy because of it. He was a hacker to his core. While he never planned on working with Sirens, hacking was something he loved doing. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and considered high end hacking an art form. The different techniques and traces left behind. The newest tech mixed with invention. The warm glow of a computer screen in a dark room and the world being accessible to him with just some play of his fingers across the keys.
------------ IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL THING AND HE WAS NOT GOING to be stopping anytime soon. Liz, Orion, Iz, and even Widow seemed content to live a new life. One on the right side of the law. Probably just so exhausted from everything caused by the gang. And that's where he felt the mistake was made. He was going to be hacker, and he was going to go for it solo. He worked best alone and under his own rules. He could still be for hire but for the most part, he was his own man. He was looking forward to that future. And it was his. "well, this sucks some major ass." Donny rolled his eyes slightly, that boy could be so high maintenance at some moments and so chill at others it was insane. "Look, I didn't mean to worry. Really, chances are you'll be fine and it won't effect you that much." Unless Iz and Andie were far closer friends than he knew, it really should not have to effect Andromeda much if at all. It was their burden and their business. "don't smile like that," He heard her snap and all it did was widen his smirk slightly. "What? I happen to like what I do." He said with a shrug. "And as soon as the Siren ties are cut for good, I'm my own man to do what I please." He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before looking her in the eyes and voiding his voice of all sarcasm until just sincerity was left, "We live in a computer age, Andie. And me? I hold the key to world." He smiled, "Those so called 'hottie badasses' girls seem to like so much may look at me think they're superior and more intimidating but with just few simple key strokes and I can ruin them... that's real power." He wasn't kidding either. The kind of power Donny held was confidence and knowledge. Everything was computerized meaning the world asks him to fuck with it. He can bankrupt a person, he can make them wanted by the cops, he can change all their records, make it so they will have no where to go but the streets where patrol cars are circling, waiting for them. Donny had never actually ruined a persons life in such a way, but he knew how and compared to some of the major corporations and government systems he had gotten into, it was a piece of cake.
------------ BUT NO MATTER HOW HIGH AND MIGHTY DONNY COULD FEEL, he had one major short coming that could always catch him off guard. His loneliness. He was alone and tended to accept it far too easily, and then not recognize any chance he may have, even when it slaps him in the face. Like now. "what... what about us?" Donny looked up at the girl with a slightly confused look on his face. What about us? Didn't he already explain she would probably be fine? Or maybe she meant she and Izzy... or, I mean, Iz and her could still be friends. The bombshell blonde in front of him almost seemed to regret having just said what she had said. Nervous in a way. Donny opened his mouth to reply but nothing came out and first until he glanced down and the ground and then back at Andie. He shook his head slightly and in all honest confusion asked, "What do you mean?" He looked at her questioningly, "What 'us'?" He added. Had he understood what she had meant by that he never would have responded in such a cold way, especially since him and Andie were kind of getting along lately. But no, he had no clue. She was a different type of girl. No one like her liked him, except for Widow but I think it's safe to say she was not in her complete right mind.

ANDIE WALLACE *HAVE I BEEN ON YOUR MIND? WHAT'S A VOICE WITHOUT A SONG? SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING ALL THE LONG... - - - She still wasn't used to not wishing that donny davis would just go jump into a lake or something. it was weird, but she felt that it was probably understandable, seeing as not wanting someone like him to go jump in a lake was very atypical of her. it was just the way she operated; she simply hated people like donny davis. she always had. it was like an autopilot setting. for one, he was a very smart, and a computer geek. and we all know that andie's disdain for anyone smarter than herself is quite large, to put it mildly. however, that really wasn't the main issue here. in fact, donny's whole 'extremely smart' factor paled a bit in comparison to why andie had previously hated him. for he had committed a crime that was, in her book, unforgivable... he had given absolutely no outward indication that he thought she was attractive. she knew what she was talking about here because, believe you me, over the years, andie had gotten very good at picking up on the affects she had on people. and, as though that wasn't horrendous enough, he had looked down his stupid nerdy nose at her like she was some sort of laughable little ingrate. even after he had admitted that he was not some sort of blind or asexual freak and that he did indeed think she was pretty, despite the triumph she had felt pumping through her veins, she had still felt compelled to hold the way he had acted against him. because, no matter what, he was a human reminder that she was not always going to be able to utilize her looks to get what she wanted. and that both depressed her and pissed her off a whole lot; and when these feelings were inspired inside of her, her first instict was generally to hate whoever or whatever was causing them with a passion. so it had genuinely surprised her when she had realized that she no longer wished pain and humiliation upon her little dark haired geek, as that kind of thing had never really happened before.
- - - It unnerved her a little, too, because she did not particularly like to be caught off guard like that, especially by her own feelings. her emotions were supposed to be something she had some sort of control over, after all. it didn't seem fair that that supposed control was evidently being taken away... sounded like a big fucking jip to her. because, if you weren't careful, feelings set you up for being vulnerable, and andie really, really, really hated that. it was actually probably a bit late for worrying about that now, though, because here she was, quite vulnerable to donny, even if his utter cluelessness when it came to the opposite sex kept him from realizing it. she just felt so off; feeling this was just so completely new to her. never before had she been able to tolerate a person like donny davis when all her logic, distorted as it was, dictated that she should hate him resolutely. never before had she ever even imagined that she would fall for a guy like him of all people. and, most importantly, never before had she felt exactly this way about a guy before... she had felt things like it, but this was just different in a way she didn't know how to pinpoint. it all just frustrated her an unimaginable amount, she didn't trust herself with all of this because she knew she was going to manage to do something stupid and mess everything up, especially since she was the kind of girl donny surely wouldn't ever feel anything special for.
- - - He rolled her eyes at her after her blunt summary of how she was feeling about all of this. god, he could be such a girl sometimes. what the hell. "look, i didn't mean to worry. really, chances are you'll be fine and it won't effect you that much." had andie been only concerned about her own welfare, that statement probably would have pretty much appeased her. but she wasn't thinking about herself; she was also thinking about the well being of both donald and isabel davis, as well as how she just really wanted to be able to have a, for lack of a better word, normal kind of relationship with them. but she couldn't exactly explain any of that to donny, now, could she? because it would be better for him to think she was being self absorbed than for him to know how she felt about him. "it still sucks," she said with a cavalier shrug. "what? i happen to like what i do." his smirk grew a bit more prominent. she shot him a minor death beam with her eyes. "and as soon as the siren ties are cut for good, i'm my own man to do what i please." it was andie's turn to roll her eyes, though she felt a tiny upward flicker in her mood when she heard that he was apparently planning on getting away from these siren people. "we live in a computer age, andie. and me? i hold the key to world. those so called 'hottie badasses' girls seem to like so much may look at me think they're superior and more intimidating but with just few simple key strokes and i can ruin them... that's real power." she didn't take in very much of his little speech because she was distracted by an unexpected giddy feeling that swooped up in her stomach when he said her name. oh, ick. she hastily beat it back and took a moment to put together what he had said after her name had come out of his mouth. god, she was pathetic. "why? what do you do to people?" she asked, trying to imagine how he went about ruining someone's life with a computer. "i would also still be impressed if you punched out a cop or something, too," she added drily.
- - - She knew it was coming, of course. it had been quite obvious from the very beginning. it would have been really fucking stupid of her to not have expected it, and she had been. but all the same, actually hearing him speak the words hurt. a lot. "what do you mean? what 'us'?" he looked utterly bemused and andie wanted to kick herself repeatedly with a great amount of force. jesus, what the hell had she been thinking, asking him about 'them'? stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid. she bit her lip and did her best to collect herself. hopefully his cluelessness would prevent him from ever being able to understand the meaning behind the question, but right now she just needed to get out of here. "nothing, never mind," she said quickly, sliding her fingers up through her hair, doing her best to keep all feeling out of her voice. "i should go." she pushed hurriedly past him, out of the room. pausing only minimally to retrieve her purse out of the living room area, she headed out the apartment door. stupid, stupid, stupid. the hallways of the hitten aparment building went by in a blur as she passed through him, focused entirely on just getting the hell out. it wasn't until she had taken her first steps into the parking lot that she remembered it was raining. fucking lovely. the mild surprise made here slow up for just a moment before she pressed on, disgusted by the tears that were threatening to well up in her eyes.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Donny J. Davis Like Jessica Rabbit she collects bad habits gets her drinks for free Animated vixen stole Cupid's arrow and came to rescue me In the blink of an eyelid my lid opened up and I could see That she'd come to rescue me
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ------------ HE WANTED ANDIE WALLACE TO UNDERSTAND THIS AND he wanted her to accept it. He just wanted her to erase it from her mind and to never think about it again, ever. He just wanted for it all to be taken back. He wanted... he wished... well, he wished he had been smart enough to re-lock his room. Fuck like this lemonade was worth this. He found himself semi-enjoying his time with her. Well no, he found it completely enjoyable. Her stubbornness, which at first had appeared to be annoying and stressful, he grew to see as endearing and rather similar to himself. The things about her that initially had him thinking she was your common bitch bimbo, morphed into judgmental musings he found incredibly funny half the time. He obviously wasn't your run of the mill clean cut star wars geek, dark humor was his favorite, bitchy humor he had grown accustomed too out of years and years of living around the likes of Widow and yeah, even Liz. Widow, that was another thing he seemed to enjoy with Andie. He liked to surprise her. I mean, not like he was at this very moment but just surprising her with abilities or qualities a guy like him usually doesn't have. Like when Widow had walked in on a study session, a girl who physically is completely out of his league but showed a possessiveness over him when she came through and saw him talking to another girl, she even kissed him as she left the room, not like a french, just a peck on the lips. He hadn't even shut his eyes it was such protocol to him. He didn't even think twice about it until he saw Andie's face and even when he shrugged like 'whatever lets get back to work' he enjoyed her slight surprise. He enjoyed the fact that she knew, that even though to her he wasn't and would never be, someone could potentially find him desirable. Why he felt a need for her to know that? He had no clue.
------------ THERE WAS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT ANDIE ONCE YOU got to know her that was a bit amazing. She was a lot smarter than she gave herself credit for, and the fact that he was able to see through the forced arrogance and her independence to see a bit of vulnerability was refreshing, to know she was still human and still felt things the way others did. Maybe he never gave the queen bee's enough credit in school? Wait no, those girls really were dumb bitches. "it still sucks," If only Donny knew the real meaning behind her words, that she wasn't so much concerned for herself but for them. For him. The thought would boggle his mind. He enjoyed her company a fair amount but that didn't mean she did, let alone actually care about him. Donny was fairly certain the only reason they were mildly pleasant around each other was because Andie realized she had to spend time with him anyways might as well try to tolerate him. "why? what do you do to people?" Donny gave a small half smile out of the left side of his mouth before standing up straighter on the other side of the kitchen counter. He shrugged a bit and reached out, turning his computer on her which showed three open windows, one opened onto a US bank site. The large window which reached bottom screen to top was just black with green zero's and ones scrolling in patter and the other, smaller window showed was looked like a countdown clock above a loading bar about halfway done.
------------ HE POINTED TO THAT HALF FILLED BOX, REACHING OVER the screen, "When that is done, I will have transferred about three point five pennies from one hundred thousand different accounts, approximately 3,500 dollars. Most people aren't going to notice three pennies missing, and it surely won't ruin them but it'll mean rent and food for me, Izzy, Liz, Widow, Orion, etc." Donny explained systematically, "Now, it's harder to do that without getting caught than for me hack into a few databases and empty one person's account completely along with falsified debt into the thousands and set them up to look like they're committing credit card fraud and get them sent to prison." Donny almost laughed, "This one guy, I made his identity look falsified and that his real identity was a serial killer from Dallas. Heh, been in Sing Sing ever since." Now don't judge. Yeah, he did that job for his father and the Sirens because the man and suckered them out of their rightful cut, but don't feel too bad for the guy serving an 'unearned' life sentence in a max security prison. He also happened to beat his wife and rape his daughter. In fact, his wife, or ex-wife at that point had even thanked Donny. Not personally, she didn't really know what had happened but she had sent an unmarked letter to a warehouse the Sirens hung out in a lot and all it said was that she didn't know how, but she knows it was them and thanks. And then that she was taking off. Liz had found it and hid it. Knowing their family, or any of the Siren families, chances are they would go after them as a game. Donny tried to shrug it off, "dont worry though, the guy deserved a life sentence anyways." "i would also still be impressed if you punched out a cop or something, too,"
------------ DONNY CHUCKLED EVER SO SLIGHTLY AT ANDIE'S PUNCH a cop comment. "Yeah because punching a cop who can see you and therefore gets a personal and most likely testosterone based vengeance against you is the most intelligent route." He said sarcastically. His mind wandered for a moment, waiting for her to respond when the word 'us' had fallen from her lips and his ears had perked up from confusion. When it came to romance, he was not really experienced. Especially when it was a girl who liked him instead of the other way around. He furrowed his brow slightly as she looked nervous and bit her lip a bit, he waited for an answer to his question but then, all of a sudden "nothing, never mind, i should go." And she was out before he could even respond with a confused, 'what the hell?' He didn't turn and watch her go as she left but instead stayed perfectly still and looked at the spot she was literally just in. Her face as she had heard his response, it was almost like... as if... and now she was gone. Was she embarrassed? She seemed so but what could it possibly be fo- OH... No... no that was impossible. She couldn't have feelings for him. That didn't happen. He was Donny Davis, she was Andie Wallace! they don't mix. They barely tolerate. Only particles follow the law that opposites attract. But lets think of this logically here Donny, what else could it be? And doctors are told, because one symptom could mean so many things, always chose the simplest. And the easiest answer was that Andromeda Wallace had feelings for him, and that answer also happened to be the hardest to believe. He couldn't believe it until he heard it but what about him? would it matter? He had never thought of Andie like that. She was beautiful, and funny, with habits and personality quirks that drive him buts, and yet as his brain quickly re-capped his time with her, the kiss on the picnic, the snide jokes during tutoring, everything, he knew.
------------ AND THAT WAS WHEN HE UN-FROZE AND LOOKED AT THE DOOR Andie had shut behind her. Quickly he reached for the handle and threw the door open before running down the hall. "Andie!" He yelled as he ran, hoping to catch her. If it was true he needed to hear it from her. He needed to. He ran down the staircase with impressive speed before bursting through the front door of the lobby and out into the rain. He looked around, not caring as the rain pour down on him, soaking him in a matter of seconds as he tried to see through water and the dimly lit parking lot. And then he saw her, "ANDIE! Wait!" He called out jogging over to her. He stepped in front of her in order to cut her off while putting his arm out slightly as he looked at her, getting just as drenched as he was, "I need for you to say it, Andie." He began, as honestly as he could, he took a deep breath, "I don't know how to explain it in a way for you to understand, but I do, I need to hear you say it out loud." He paused for a moment, taking another deep breath as the only sounds he heard were the raindrops coming down. He shook his head slightly, "What us?" He asked again, hoping against hopes, she could find a way to answer him.
