It was simply manners as Anne stood up to greet him. Yes, she had been extremely bored and envious of the people coming in with their dates from the football team & water polo team, but she wouldn't let that show. But, then a group of guys caught her eye. Oh yes, her buddies. The last time she had hung out with them was at the bonfire, or at least she thought. She was completely wasted at the time when she wrestled a six pack away from those guys. No Anne, come on, focus, don't be such a bitch to Oscar.. oh screw it. They were huddled over, taking in glances at her. She smiled and gave off a flirtatious wave as she turned back to Oscar, biting her lip as Jack Johnson filtered through the glorious gym.
"Er, can you hold on a second? I just want to say hi to some friends.. I owe you one!" She said, as she walked quickly to the water polo guys and continued her sneaky flirt attack. She needed to get it out of her system, and these guys were so dumb & half baked that they would do anything she asked or said. Go figure, beautiful, strong dumb guys that only hung out with themselves. Yes, she felt pretty bad for ditching Oscar, but like she said.. it would only be a minute.. or two.

Dylan walked into the gym with a nice homecoming outfit. It wasn't really egyption, but he wasn't very spirited. Usually only spirited people suually dress up for these events. There weren't many of them though. Only Nikki.
As Dylan spotted Nikki, he walked up to her. she look beautiful in her dress. Her dress even matched the theme of the entire homecoming. There weren't many other people who were wearing egyption clothes. He saw some, but liked Nikki best-she was his date.
Dylan walked up to Nikki and kissed her on the cheek. "Hey baby," he said to her. "Miss me?"

"Oh yeah sure...I'll be here..." Oscar trailed off as Anne went over to her friends, probably didn't even hear him. It was beyond Oscar why he wasn't 'cool' enough to stand behind Anne while she gabbed with the jocks. I mean, what could Oscar ever do that would be embaressing to Anne? Oh, right, him there. Period.
Oscar made his way to a chair and sat, wondering why he had to be such a loser. He was thrilled to take Anne, but less than thrilled that she was ignoring him. So he wasn't Princeton. Oscar was nothing to the extent that girls would look at him more than just their 'dorky but cute in that not-boyfriend way" friend that helped them with their homework.

Antony grinned, laughing, "Yeah, it is." He said, noticing that the song had changed to a more fast-paced song.
The volume was climbing up, and the kids were getting ready for a fun night. "But lets go get a snack, anyway." He led her towards the refreshment table, looking at the array of snacks. He wasn't hungry, but he needed something to calm his nerves. He had never attempted running for homecoming before, and he felt really nervous to be involved in something like that. It was just now hitting him, really.
"So, what'll it be?" He asked, bartender-style with a cup in his hand, "We've got spiked punch, and...spiked punch."

Amanda walked into the gym prepared for a very very long night. There was the homecoming dance of course, and then there was the after party which could go to who-knows-when in the morning. The combination of both of these added up to tons of alcohol, hooking up, and drama for everybody.
Tonight she was going stag. No date? No problem. Being the optimistic person that she was, instead of veiwing herself as going with no date, she veiwed it as every guy was her date. This point of veiw would obviously get one in a lot of trouble, tonight being no exception. What am I saying? She did have a date! Mr. Daniels, Mr. Jack Daniels was accompaning her to this lovely affair to help her "loosen up" for the dance.
Her attire for the evening was a short off-white dress which she had purchased months before the dance. She had bought it on an indulgent shopping spree buying it completely without a specific place to wear it. However, it did go along with the theme in some senses, without looking corny-like the dj. On her feet she wore brown boots, a nice touch to 'dress down' her outfit. Her makeup was simple, and her hair was out and left naturally wavy. Long story short: She looked good.
Scanning the gym she briefly watched all of the different couples togther; some where dancing, some where talking, some where just standing around awkwardly. Oh boy, she thought to herself walking over to the snack table, and pouring her a glass of notoriously spiked punch, This is gonna be fun

She gently bit down on her bottom lip while considering if she really wanted a drink or not. Kylie took the plastic cup from the hand of Antony, and she set it back down on the long refreshment table.
"Hm. I think I'll have to pass on a drink," she said, a smile slowly creeping on her face. "Alcohol makes people do stupid things, and I never noticed that until I met you and you stayed sober while everyone else drank. I'm not going to drink anymore." The smile on her face was now huge. This was a big commitment for a teenage girl to make, but Kylie was willing to give it her all and try to stop before she became an alcoholic.
She looked around as the music sped up. Her attention then landed on the small stage that was at one side of the gym. The crowns for king and queen were still on a decorated table. Who would win? Kylie was sure that she wouldn't, but Antony, however, had a good chance at winning.
Ky looked back at him, trying to not like of how badly she probably lost. "Do you wanna go sit or dance?" she asked, kind of nervous herself. This was the first time she had gone to Homecoming.

Alexandra grinned, taking the drink and laughing.
"We can dance later," She whispered, sipping from her cup. The alchohol soothed her nerves, making her feel a little better about the night. "We should get our pictures taken, I guess," She said with a small laugh, "Even if it's a totally lame thing to do. It'll be a good way to remember tonight."
She placed an arm around his waist, slowly leading them to the photographer. She felt even more out of place than before, seeing everybody in their outrageous dresses. This was a school dance, not a wedding. These girls obviously didn't understand semi-formal.
"You know," She began, blinking slowly, "I never thought I'd be here with you."

Antony grinned, amazed. He had never influenced someone to make a choice like that. It felt good, to know that he was a good influence instead of a bad one.
"Well, I'd rather enjoy getting our pictures taken," He said, smiling broadly, "So I can remember the time I went to homecoming with the most beautiful girl in the world."
The picture booth was in a little spare-room type thing that sprung out from the gym, it was the Coach's office, and it was probably decorated with tacky, tacky decorations.
Antony loved the photography booth. If you went early, the photographer would let you take the camera and snap a few pictures yourself. It was always a fun thing to do.

"Oh," she blushed as she started talking again, "and you are the most handsome man in the world. I'm falling so fast for you too," she added, not sure if that was the best thing to tell him that early in the relationship.
She glanced down, a bit embarassed now, and she gently laced her fingers with Antony's before starting to walk towards the photo booth. She was hoping that there wasn't anyone in there because she wanted t hurry up and take those damn heels off of her feet.
"Wait, wait." She had stopped walking about half-way across the gym. Ky bent over, slipped off her shoes, and held them in her hands. "I'll put them back on later... Maybe," she said to herself. It was rare that she wore heels for a long period of time, so it was no surprise that she needed to take them off.
"Sorry," she said, looking back up at him as she restarted he journey towards the small room.

Bridget walked into the gym. It was homecoming night, one of the main dances here. Valkyrie dances were the best around. She looked around the gym. She thought is was nice, but they could do better. You should have seen her sweet sixteen. It was actually on the show "Super Sweet Sixteen". It was amazing.
Bridget was going alone tonight. She actually liked it. She had gotten many offers, she refused them all. It wasn't because of Chase, though. She actually was going to end it with him. She wanted to be single. Go out with a bunch of guys. She didn't want to just be committed and stay with one.
Tonight she wore red/maroon strapless dress. It was fitted up top, at the bottom it got ruffled. If fell right below her knees. It has a brownish/goldish strip on the top. She had on gold heels. Her hair down and down my a stylist.

Off all the nights to rain, Kelsey thought as she made her way from the chaffuered car that had dropped her off up the cooblestone pathway that led to the front doors. Covering her hair, well trying to at least, Kelsey entered the school and quickly glanced into one of the trophy cases that lined the halls. Oh, she’s not interested on who was female athlete of the year for the past decade; the glass is the closest thing to a mirror and there's no way Kelsey could enjoy herself with her hair being out of place. Letting out a sigh of relief that her hair was still gorgeous looking, Kelsey continued on into the gym, ready to get the night started.
She had come alone but that was no big deal. The way Kelsey saw it was that the night would be full of opportunities; no one was holding her down. Not that I’d mind, she thought as she entered the gym, taking in the decorations. It actually looked nice, and although she didn’t necessarily like the theme the first time she heard about it, Kelsey’s mind was slowly changing as she realized how nicely the gym followed it.
Kelsey felt beautiful in her dress and had fallen in love with it the first time she saw it. It was white and slightly short, but Kelsey pulled it off magnificently. The baby doll shape made her legs look longer, and the white accentuated her tan. She smoothed it out with her hands and fiddled with her earring as she stood slightly off to the side of the dance floor, scanning the crowd.

Post by Logan Bishop on Nov 29, 2006 18:50:52 GMT -6
Logan laughed as Anna exclaimed over her gift. Really, it hadn't been much. It wasn't diamonds or emeralds, but he was glad she liked it. Logan wouldn't admit this, but he spent at least two hours finding the necklace. Ok, another lie. He'd asked the family friend who was a jeweler to do it for him as soon as he found out he was actually going to Homecoming with a date this year. So he spent a little time on it, that didn't mean he was really falling for Anna, did it?
Logan shook the thought away. No, don't fall for them, it only made things more complicated. Really he just wanted the dance to be over with for the party afterwords. That was when the real fun began. And if Anna was anything like the way she was in detention the other day, Logan was almost itching for the last song to play. "I'm glad you like it." he said in regards to the necklace, one finger gently tracing it on her throat. It made her eyes brighter.

Her lips were pursed, but they still curled up in a cat-like grin. She was...speechless, truely, and it should've shown by now that she was beaming with joy and probably about to blush from embarrassment. She didn't hesitate in wrapping her arms around his neck, giving him a gentle kiss to his jaw, "I don't like it...I love it! Thankyou!"

Reed placed a secure but lazily arm around her waist as she led him over to the picture takings. "Nothing's lame about getting a picture. It will be the nicest thing in my apartment," he smirked knowing it would probably be true. They walked over to the little line that was forming for the pictures. He listened to her. "Oh, really? Expecting to be with someone..." he searched for the words, "a little more involved with school? Not 'night-life,' but 'school-life?" he laughed at his own stupid joke.
"I admit, if I was told I was going to homecoming with the most beautiful girl at the school," he began not bothering to correct his grammar, "I would have said, 'Is it Alex Bastian?" That may have been corny, or a bad pick-up line but he meant it. Alex was easily one of the hottest girls here tonight. He kissed her lightly on the lips.

Alexandra blushed, her fingertips touched her tingling lips once the kiss ended.
"I'm glad I know you, Reed." She said, noticing her brother and his girlfriend ahead of them in the line and laughing. Crazy kids.
"I mean, I'm glad I know the real you. You're a good person." She was worried about telling him all of this, but the fact that he was getting tipsy helped. It meant he would probably forget, so she wouldn't have to worry about looking stupid.
"And I'm really glad I've finally gotten my chance to be with you." In public, she added in her head, remembering the last time they had been at a big event together. Hooking up in a shed didn't count as a romantic night on the town, did it?
