Nikki felt Dylan's lips touch hers. "Hey," she said to him. "I was about to talk to some friends. Ihope you don't mind..." Nikki kissed Dylan one more time and went to look for her friends. She saw Oscar and walked over to him.
"Hey Oscar," she said to him. "So, who's your date?" Nikki was feeling spirited today. She wasn't feeling like a boring person today. Nikki tried to start a conversation with her friend, Oscar. She didn't talk to him much.

"Oh, yes!" she sighed "A drink would be lovely" she smiled at him. She had been so excited today, and so busy, that she really never thought about having herself a drink or any food, it was a stupid mistake on her behalf, but there was food and beverages here so she would be fine.
Suddenly she remembered what she had told Jason about her, and alcohal... Ah, the heck with it, She wouldn't get drunk tonight, or would she?
Ashley smiled as she saw a few guys staring at her, wanting her, ok, she knew that it was not something to be proud of but when you grow up your whole life not getting much attention from your 'parent' you tend to love any attention, whether its good or bad...

Oscar watched as Anne laughed at a joke some water polo player made and rolled his eyes making a face that he hardly noticed Nikki Malinda come up to him. His eyes swept over her once and her Egyptian outfit. She stiffled a laugh. "Nice," he said commenting her attire. "Way to take on the mood of the theme."
He motioned his hand over to the group, "I'm here with Anne. Shocker, huh?" Yeah, Oscar found it pretty shocking too. He looked around him ,"Aren't you here with Dylan?" he asked her. So from the gossip mill he had heard that Dylan and Nikki were now a couple.
"So, I haven't heard much from you lately, how have things been going?"

Amanda walked off the dance floor heading towards the drink table rolling her eyes. For the last half an hour she had been dancing with a guy from the Lacrosse team until one of the very few chaperones broke them up claiming it was "too sexual for a school dance". Whatever she thought downing another glass of spiked punch. Usually going stag was more fun, but this year there were very few hott single guys-single being the important word. This everybody coupled up and brought dates. Fuck that.
She ran her fingers through her hair a few times scanning the decorated gym for people-mostly guys. Guys who were good looking, but not sleezy, or cocky. Her search came to a stop when she reached Josh and Daphne. Awww, how cute she thought, Not. How long have they been together, like...45 seconds?. She had known Josh for a year or two, and never had he looked this good to her.
Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe he had just grown up a lot since she had last seen him. It was even possible that she only wanted him becasue she was bored with this dance, and couldn't wait until the after party. But none of that mattered now because she wanted him. And usually when she wanted something, she got it.

Jason flashed a smile and nodded as he stood out of the white chair that had golden painted designs of the desert along the sides. He made his way to the other side of the Gym where the drinks were being served and saw Reed out of the corner of his eye. Dick. To make sure that if anything, a certain someone saw that Jason was better than him, he looked at a couple of girls and gave them a good once over and smile. They simply blushed. Oh, those freshmen were as easy as easy macs. He sniffed the punch and made sure it had some kind of an odor of alcohol. Yep, already been spiked, thank God. He then soon made his way back over to the table.
"A drink for the lady, from yours truly." He smirked as he placed her drink in front of her and walked back into his chair. As he scooted in he raised his glass. "Cheers." And by his cheers, he meant hott drunk girls, but they, he has said it before & he'd say it again; 'thank God girls can read my thoughts'.

"And so I was like, dude! Get some shorts on!" "Yeah, he totally was." "And like... when I did.. the guy totally just, came on to me." "We were like, dude! You like him!? Fag!" "Yeah, hahah, it's funny, right Anne?" You'd think that this was a group of girls talking gossip about their day. Nope, this was a regular conversation topic for the dumb, air headed water polo guys that Anne was talking to. Gorgeous, stoned & miserably dumb. Still, Anne laughed with them anyways. It was better than having an awkward conversation with Oscar. Okay, so the dinner wasn't awkward, but dancing with him? She needed to be sure about things before she did them, and truth be told, she wasn't sure about Mr. Lyon. She snuck a glance at him and saw him talking to Nikki Malinda. That preppy blonde she saw at the tennis courts?! He would actually choose to talk to her next to An- wait. She was the one whom had ditched him. Nah, she didn't care if he was talking to Nikki Malinda. Although, it sure did show that she did, because every couple of moments, she secretly craned her neck through the bodies of the water polo guys that surrounded her to make sure that all they did was talking. Protective, much?

She saw Jason give Reed a quick look and then she watched as he looked at a couple of girls, to make Reed jealous, she knew it. She took a moment and looked at Reed, with Alex, she took a small breath and turned back to Jason, "Cheers" she said, half out of it. She put on a smile, not a true genuine smile, but a smile with that. She took a quick drink, it felt soo good. "Thanks" s murmered.
She relized that because of the thoughts unning through her mind she hadnt really been herself, "Sorry" she giggled "I was just" She took a pause, "Thinking..." she said as she looked down at him.
SHe tugged on his sleeve "Come on lazy" she said motianing for him to follow her "Lets Dance!" she exclaimed striking a small pose out of humor.

Homecoming, homecoming, homecoming. Elliot sighed. Why on earth was he here? Homecoming or any school functions for that matter had never been his thing, but he decided to come on a whim and was already regretting it. Even with the last minute decision to come, he looked pretty good. He wore black dress shirt on black pants, with a gray tie, and a gray knit hat covering his head, his old checkered vans on his feet. Just ‘cause he’s dressed up doesn’t mean he can’t be comfortable. Elliot walked up the sidewalk and on to the pathway towards the entrance of the school, a joint between his lips and a cigarette behind his ear. He was /moderately/ stoned, to the point where his eyes were slightly bloodshot and a goofy grin was plastered across his face.
Elliot took one last draw on the joint and threw it on the ground, exhaling, he pulled back on the door and walked into the school. Soon he was in the gym that was already full of drunk girls and guys dancing like there was no tomorrow. “I guess I’m not that late” he muttered to himself, checking his watch before scanning the area for anyone he knew. Elliot saw Nikki and Oscar talking on the sidelines and decided to go over.
“Hey guys,” he said, a big smile on his face. “Wow, Nikki,” he said quietly eyeing her up and down. “You, look, uh… good,” he said nodding his head, unsure of what to say, her outfit was over top but nice.

Antony grinned, "Somewhere quiet, secluded, and just-the-two-of-us-y?" He asked with a smile, loving the thought of it.
"It sounds perfect." And it did. He couldn't think of anything better to do than spend alone time with his one-and-only, Kylie.
The music was blasting as he said it, so he felt very akward. 'Can she hear me?' He asked himself in his head, 'I hope so.'
"I like this song." He said, referring to the one playing now; Indie Rock & Roll, by The Killers. It was one of his favorites.
---
Alexandra kissed Reed softly, then pulled away. "I promise," She whispered, blushing. The night was going very well so far, even if she had run out of spiked-punch. They were going to get their picture taken after the next two couples, and then they could dance the night away-or just spend the night together. Either way, it was good with her.
As she chatted away with him, she noticed various people she had seen before that didn't go to this school. Most of them had been at parties in L.A. with her.
Not good. Not when she was with Reed, at least.
"So, how do you like the DJ?" She asked, nervously listening to the music. It was something her brother would love, but she wasn't into it. She needed something with more of a beat.

Reed felt eyes on him. He turned his head slightly to see none other than Jason looking at him. He narrowed his eyes slightly and without noticing brought Alex closer to him. Jason looked away, but not to get away from Reed. Reed followed his gaze and saw Jason flirt lightly at some girls. He looked back at Jason and they shared a quick glance. What an ass. Reed was here with Alex. No way was he going to lower himself and flirt with a naive frosh or giggling sophmore. No, he was a hell a lot better than that. Reed saw him turn around and found Ashley. Reed couldn't help but smirk the thought of that Ashley was more interested in Reed himself when Jason and Ashley had kissed.
That alone would make that little Abercrombie pretty boy's blood boil.
Reed looked back down at Alex. "The DJ? He's ok. The outfit though... I guess you would have to give him a few tips," he said with a smile. The last couple went and then it was thier turn. He gave the money-handler a twenty. He led Alex to the place with little tape, "What should we do. Something to remember."

Logan smiled as Anna kissed him. Oh, he could not wait for the infamous after party to happen. Anna was looking hot and the room was full of girls dressed like her, but still. Something just made her better, more graceful and more alluring. He knew he shouldn't, but he was going to. He was going to ask Anna to be his girlfriend. You would think something like that wouldn't be a huge decision, but Logan had only had maybe two or three girls he'd ever called his girlfriend. All the others, well they'd mostly been flings, short-lived.
Pulling on his date's hand, Logan flashed her one of his adorable smiles. Maybe it was the booze, maybe it was just something in the air, or maybe he was just plain stupid, but he felt incredibly irresistible right at that moment. "So, want to dance?" he whispered in her ear, pulling Anna closer.

SHe grinned playfully, "To this grinding song?" She chuckled out loud, "Are you sure? I don't want you getting to 'happy' before the night ends, you know?"
SHe turned quickly, his wrist in her soft palm, dragging him out onto the floor, where she pulled him close, resting her palm now against his in the air, her socked feet slipping on the floor as she shifted. In her mind, it whispered. "one two three, kick" Her feet moving with it in rythem, a silent metranome that her hips sway to in the dark and gloom of the room. She grind her hips forward, pressing her crouch against his, keeping her legs moving in forever beat, smiling up at him with that dazzling and devious little smirk of hers. Smiling up with those daring green eyes.

"Anne? Awesome..Idon't know her that well.." Nikki admitted. She was surprised that Oscar was with Anne but oh well. You can judge a book by its cover. That was so true. Oscar was a good friend.
"Things have been great," Nikki replied to Oscar. "How are you?" She didn't really know what to say. I mean, the school year seems like it was only a week. It went by so fast. Nikki made many friends and got her first boyfriend. Dylan. Good school year so far.........

Oscar hardly listened to Nikki, somewhere deep down, he knew that was mean, but Anne was laughing. Ok, that doesn't sound as bad as Oscar saw it, but with the water polo goys? They were hardly intelligent at all. Even the geeks made fun of their intelligence. In the back of his mind, Oscar vaugely thought that Anne was doing this on purpose. Yes, the water polo boys may be big and stupid, but they could talk, and hold a conversation, unlike him. He tapped his foot on the polished, wooden, gym floor and huffed, hardly noticing that his friend Elliot came up behind Nikki and him.
He tore his guys from Anne and the idiots. The smiled. "I don't think I have seen you yet this year. How you doing buddy?" Oscar asked noticing the blood-shot eyes and care-free vibe. "Didn't know you were going to show up here."

Josh walked out onto the dance floor with her. There weren't many people out there. Some people were to nervous to dance with their dates. There were other reasons, too. That seemed to be the main one, though. He didn't mind being one of the first people out. They would follow and be out there soon. They always did follow, they always would.
A slow song was playing now. He had his hands around her, holding her close. This was their first dance together as a couple. He liked it, he liked her. He could see some people watching them. Some girls were making mean faces to Daphne and some were smiling at her. It was the same with him. He was getting the mean faces and smiles, too. It didn't matter, though. He never minded them.
