Antony smiled, "It's funny," He began grabbing her hand, "I've already fallen."
Antony was the type of person that got lots of girls to fawn over him, but they would always take off after the first Reed-type guy that came along. It was nice for him to know a girl like Kylie, one so beautiful and down-to-earth, one that wasn't taking off for some random guy just because he was an assistant manager at some club.
"It's all good," He said, smiling broadly, "I think girls in heels always look too uncomfortable. It makes me sort of nervous."

She glanced over at him, a huge smile on her face. "Oh have you really? It makes me happy to know that because now I'm not scared of you changing your mind and wanting to be with Ashley." When she said that she was half joking and half serious. Kylie knew that they'd probably be together for a while, but there was still something about the whole Ashley thing that bothered her because Ashley seemed to be very stuck on Antony.
"Do you think they're going to fall over or something? I was going to put a pair of flip flops in a big purse in case I needed to change, but my dad insisted on driving me, so there was really no reason to bring a purse." She sighed softly, now realizing just how badly she wanted to wear another pair of shoes. She didn't want to walk around bare-foot on the gym floor all night.

He laughed, ignoring the comment about Ashley, "I'm afraid that girls in heels will go psycho at some point, and then just throw the shoes." He said, remembering an incident his freshman year involving a teacher and the student she was sleeping with.
Good times.
"I'm sorry," He said, frowning, "If I could I'd run out and get you something comfortable to wear right now." He smiled, "But if you don't want to walk around on this sandy floor, I can carry you."
He smiled, staring into her eyes. He seemed to smile a lot around her.

Ashley stood at the doors to the gym, scanning the whole area. The look was quite, silly, but at the same time it looked fun, and thought out, everything was detailed right down to the DJ dressed as King Tut. She saw few girls dressed up in egyption-like outfits, costumes maybe. She knew that she could never do that, Halloween was her only exception, no I take that back, she dressed up funky like that all the time! Just 2 days ago she had stood outside of her apartment building, on the beach, and had dressed up as a so called 'nerd'. Even though it was dare, it was quite fun to act as someone she wasnt!
Ashley scanned for a friendly face, someone whom she could go up to and, talk to, maybe. She spotted quite a few people, she debated on whom she would approach first, after all she didnt want to get anyone mad! Slowly she walked in, taking small fragile steps.
Her white heels clicked against the hard floor. She hadnt worn a fluffy dress, like one that costed as much as a wedding dress, she just wore a simple blue dress that held a few white dots on it, it was very laid back and relaxed, but still quite elegant. Her hair was simply down, nothing too special. in her ears hung a pair of small diamond earing, they had been her grandmothers at one time and it was sort of a tradition for the youngest lady in the family to wear them when they went to a formal or at least semi/formal place. Her face was not showing many signs of make up, just a small amount of pale lipstick, and maybe a little bit of mascara and a tiny-tiny bit of blush.
She suddenly reliezed that Jason wasn't here yet, she tried to look arounf the group of people, in search for him, but she had no luck. She gave a small shrug and decided that she would wait for Jason by simply, hanging out with her friends!

She shook her head as she starred straight out in front of where so was walking. She was paying attention to him, and she knew where she was going, but as she kind of gazed off she seemed to be in some other demension. Her mind wasn't all there. Ky was just out in space, thinking.
A smile crept onto her face... again. She then shook her head again to break away from the trance. "Nah, no need for you to carry me. I'd feel bad if you did have to carry me."
Finally Kylie looked back at Antony. "You don't want to go to the after-party, do you? I was hopinh we could just go somewhere else. Somewhere quiet..."

Reed was a little confused at the whole 'real' thing. He never acted like he was a full-blown trust-fund baby from the Valks, like most of the kids did here at Valkyrie. He was more full-blown kid on from the hood who parents hated to see their daughter bring home since he hardly could support himself.
"And of course for our first outing together I could not not get you something..." he said as he groped in his pocket for the gift. He made the effort to kiss her a last time. When their lips parted he revealed a small, black, velvet box in front of her. He handed it to her wondering is she would take it. He edged for a cigarette. She obviously knew it wasn't going to be what anyone else would think it would be.
"In Ireland, where I come from, the ring symbolizes friendship," he said as he pointed to the Claddagh ring inside the box. He had to admit he had had that ring for some time now. One of these not being in your local jewelry shop at Valkyrie. "You see," he began as he pointed to the crown, "Having it face this way towards your heart, means you are friends. But," he pointed to the point at the heart, "having this pointing to your heart means you belong to someone," he finished and looked at her, "My dad gave my mom one. It's a tradition that we Irish do. Americans may have their McDonald French fries, we have our Claddagh rings, he said and did a little laugh.

Alexandra smiled brightly, "Thank you," She said, kissing him on the cheek. "It's beautiful."
Alexandra had never been given a ring as a gift. She had received necklaces, earrings, cars, pretty much everything else. Just not a ring. It was so odd to be getting one from Reed.
"Where did you get it?" She asked, looking at the design. It was really gorgeous, and this made her like Reed even more.

[Tis ok]
Reed edged a little farther up in the line as she asked him where he got it, "Well, when I was younger and my parents and I were, to say the least, civil, my mom gave me it and told me to give it to someone some day. Some one I cared about."
He stopped himself before he revealed anymore. Sure, Reed liked Alex and as far as he knew, Alex liked him. They really didn't say anything beyond that. He looked down at his drink having a silent battle with the red punch doused with vodka. Needless to say he didn't win and he took a longer drink than before. "Well, I'm glad you like it. I was hoping you would."

She grinned, "I love it." The dance was in full swing now, and she realized that their line had elongated since she last took the time to look around. The annoying Freshmen kids had showed up, and of course some of the kids that lived in L.A. had snuck in.
Every dance, kids drove over from L.A. and snuck in. They usually woke up in someone's dorm room, but sometimes they'd get busted by security. It was always a laugh.
"So, I'm glad you care about me." She smiled, "I care about you, too."

Reed was taken a little by surprise at how the party picked up so quickly. Yeah, Valkyrie's homecoming, Valkyrie's prom, Valkyrie's anything was basically the Academy Awards without the stars. It was what all the neighboring cities loved to crash.
If he hadn't placed the cup to his mouth and took a drink he was sure that Alex would have seen him flush. Once the moment passed her gently took her hand and entwined his fingers with her own. "Promise me we'll have fun tonight?" he said with a grin, now that they were only a few couples away from a picture.

Josh walked into the gym and started to look around for Daphne. He was a tiny bit late. His car broke down and he had to wait for his dad to get the other car to him. He had to find Daphne now. He didn't want her to think he blew him off.
He had bought Daphne a present for tonight. It was, after all, the first dance they went to together. He bought her a diamond bracelet that has Josh+Daphne in crested on to the back. He had to make it perfect. He wanted her to love it.
As he worked his way through the gym he saw her. He walked over to her and put an arm on her shoulder. "Sorry, I am late." he said to him. He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.

Tingles rippled through her body as she felt someone, her someone, greet her. She felt relaxed under his arm. "That's ok," she explained, "the dance has only just begun."
She smiled slowly and kissed him on the lips. "I haven't been waiting that long. Though, I've been missing you," she said her eyes sparkling under the dim lights. She listened as the DJ went to an upbeat breakaway hit to a slow tempo melody. She held his hands and back up, "Let's dance," she said as she made her way toward the dance floor with hardly anyone dancing. It took a good half-hour for people to stop being so damn nervous and ask their dates to dance.

Jason never intended on going to Homecoming. It wasn't a priority of his. The last one he had gone to was with a girl who was on her way to Los Angeles to become a metal head. A lovely girl that he didn't exactly like, but definitely knew her way around his mouth. Now, he was prepping up to go to the infamous dance with Ashley Adams, a childhood friend of his and Anne's along with a girl that always kept his attention. No matter if he really only liked physical relationships, which he had gotten a little out of in Ashley, she was definitely better than some prep. As he straightened his tie and ran a finger through that platinum blonde hair, he simply smiled. Maybe he could get into someones pants tonight, whether it be Ashley or not. As he walked towards the Gym, he felt the music & heat in a big wind towards his face. He blinked a little, despising the fact that B-List kids in Los Angeles always crashed their party. Californian kids, what can you do? As he stepped inside, he looked at the directions and rolled his eyes. What a cliche. It was then that he noticed his date, alongside some slutty sophomores that he gave a casual wink to, and made his way to Ashley. He wouldn't deny it, she looked, well - gorgeous.
"Miss Adams, you're looking dashing this evening." He said, bowing and taking her hand to kiss the top of his. Born a horn dog gentleman, always will be.

Ashley was quite taken back by his compliment, it had been a while scince she had gotten a compliment like that, she blushed."Why thank you" she said giving a small curtsy, she made sure not to lift her dress to high, after all she didnt want to make Jason go all wild.
She looked him up and down, "You look quite handsome yourself" she said with a small nod. It was true, he had always known how to dress himself to perfection. Well it made sence that he would, after all when you look at the type of family he comes from it would be obvious that he would always be in tip top shape.

"A guy can try." Jason responded as he lead them to a table to get themselves settled in before they got to dancing. He grinded. You wouldn't imagine a guy whom as met the embassador of England & the princes of Europe would grind, but yet, you could also say that he was a 'Prince William'; sexually dangerous. He glanced over at Ashley, staring at the short, blue & white dress that made guys turn their heads when they saw her & then saw his sister flirting with water polo guys. What a skank. It ran in the family. He eyed his sisters dress and wanted to pull it down, for now the whole group of Senior dickheads were circling around her. Ah, nevermind that, his sister could fend for herself, & it wasn't like he cared enough for her anyways.
"Can I get you any beverage? Spiked beverages only." He said with a sly smile.
